Do aliens exist? Well, we don't know for sure yet, but these celebrities certainly believe that life exists out there in space! With the discovery of new planets that could support life happening every single year now, these famous people who believe in extra-terrestrials may just be right! The likes of Dan Aykroyd, Tom Cruise, and of course, famous alien-believer Tom Delonge all make this list!

#10: William Shatner

For this Canadian actor, author, and star of shows like “Boston Legal” and “T. J. Hooker,” aliens are more than just co-stars in make-up. As Captain Kirk, Shatner encountered countless alien races in the “Star Trek” universe, but believes they exist off-screen as well. We wouldn’t exactly call it ironic, as Shatner isn’t exactly a Trekkie himself, and we have to admit, he really has done his homework on the matter. He is apparently even working on a book about UFOs and alien abductions that we honestly can’t wait to read.

#9: Fran Drescher

You may remember her as nasally New Yorker Fran Fine from the hit TV-show, “The Nanny,” or in one of her many comedic film roles in cult classics like 1989’s “UHF.” In addition to being an actress, model, activist, and ordained minister, she is also a firm believer in life from outer space. Speaking about her ex-husband, writer and producer Peter Marc Jacobson, she once said: “You know, it’s funny because Peter and I both saw [aliens] before we knew each other…A few years later, we met, and we realized that we had the same experience.” Much of her belief hinges on the fact that they share the exact same scar in the exact same spot.

#8: Ronald Reagan

Although Jimmy Carter once claimed to have seen a UFO, the presidential spot on our list goes to the 40th American president, former actor Ronald Reagan. It was from an airplane one night in 1974 that he says he and the rest of the crew saw “a bright white light”, which they followed for a brief period, before, according to Reagan, seeing it fly straight up “into the heavens”. He supposedly spoke to Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev about putting aside differences in the event of an alien invasion, and, following a private screening of “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, said to Spielberg “There are a number of people in this room who know that everything on that screen is true.”

#7: Elvis Presley

Known primarily for the rock and roll music that made him a legend and pop culture icon, what’s perhaps less common knowledge about the King is the fascination he had with otherworldly beings. Elvis claimed to have interacted with them not once, but numerous times throughout his life. When he was born, UFOs were allegedly spotted hovering in the sky just overhead, and at the age of 8, he was visited again, this time, to give him a glimpse of his future. His affinity for the subject of extraterrestrials became well known to his closest fans, some of whom claim that Presley himself was one.

#6: Stephen Hawking

Though we wouldn’t normally cite scientists as celebrities, it’s pretty safe to say that if ever there was one who reached legendary status, it’s this award-winning English physicist, author and cosmologist. Respected as one of the greatest minds of our time, it’s interesting that Hawking has long spoken publicly about his theory that an alien civilization might one day exterminate the human race if we aren’t careful. He’s gone so far as to say that if we do receive a signal from them, we must be “wary about answering.” Nevertheless, Hawking is involved in efforts to search for life beyond Earth.

#5: John Lennon

Though he is best known as the co-founder of one of the greatest bands of all time, and most tragically for his untimely death at the hands of killer Mark David Chapman, many others know Lennon as an avid believer in extraterrestrial creatures. In fact, in addition to having seen UFOs, he claimed to have been visited by them in his home. In his story, Lennon says he was awoken by a blazing light and four bug-like creatures that pushed him around telepathically before presenting him with a metal, egg-like object as a gift. Some conspiracy theorists even believe there is a link between his alien encounter experience and his eventual murder.

#4: David Bowie

It can most certainly be said that this flamboyant singer’s sense of style was at times extraterrestrial, and that his love of outer space, as echoed in his music, was without question. We can only assume that this was a reflection of his all too real belief in life forms beyond those found on earth. As legend goes, Bowie saw a few flying saucers in his youth and even worked for a magazine dedicated to extraterrestrials, UFO sightings and other such otherworldly phenomena. Later in life, Bowie claimed to have seen a UFO repair shop in the state of Missouri. Maybe “Loving the Alien” was more than a metaphor about religion?

#3: Tom DeLonge

If you’re unfamiliar with his work as the guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of space rock group Angels & Airwaves, you’ll definitely know him from his time in Blink-182. Given that band’s penchant for writing humorous lyrics, you’d be forgiven for treating their song “Aliens Exist” as a joke. But when it comes to anything out of this world, DeLonge is actually very serious. A self-educated expert within the field of extraterrestrial life, he’s bought UFO-spotting equipment, made trips to places like Area 51, scoured the web for evidence of aliens and government cover-ups. He even emailed Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager about the existence of life from outer space.

#2: Tom Cruise

Okay, so the fact that this Hollywood A-list actor and scientologist made the list isn’t all that surprising. But the extent to which Tom Cruise believes in extraterrestrials is impressive; according to author Lawrence Wright, Cruise believes he has a role in saving humanity from alien spirits, known as “body thetans”, that live inside us. But hey, with so much cinematic experience kicking alien butt, Cruise may very well be the best celebrity for the job. He is reported to have said in one interview: “Millions of stars, and we’re supposed to be the only living creatures? No, there are many things out there, we just don’t know." Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions: - Russell Crowe - Mick Jagger - Khloé Kardashian

#1: Dan Aykroyd

He’s been nominated for Academy Awards. He’s made us roar with laughter on “Saturday Night Live” and in films like “The Blues Brothers” and “Ghostbusters.” He’s also been involved in multiple successful business ventures. He’s the one, the only… Dan Aykroyd. And among other things, he has a passion for the paranormal. He’s actually the Hollywood consultant for the Mutual UFO Network, a nonprofit that investigates UFO sightings. He has also produced a documentary dealing with the UFO phenomenon, in addition to hosting the show “Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal.” To say that Aykroyd is captivated by extraterrestrials is an understatement.
