Can someone say double threat? Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 Celebrities Who Surprisingly Can Rap. For this list, we’re taking a look at celebs you wouldn't expect to have such great flow. We’ll be including stars who have shown their prowess with freestyling, as well as those with a knack for delivering well-known verses.

#10: Ken Jeong

10 Celebs You Didn't Know Had Tragic Family Histories

It’s no secret that Ken Jeong is a talented dude. His unique brand of humor in films like “The Hangover” franchise and TV shows such as “Community” have turned him into a household name. Before acting, however, Jeong received his medical degree in 1995 and is still licensed to practice medicine in the state of California. That said, the only time he dons the white coat nowadays is when he’s performing lyrical surgery on unwitting opponents. Just check out his rap battle with Shaquille O’Neal from season two of “Drop the Mic”. The man can spit some bars!

#9: Sandra Bullock

Top 10 Moments That Made Us Love Sandra Oh

Over a career spanning more than three decades, Sandra Bullock has pretty much done it all. She’s won an Academy Award, been named People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful Woman”, and even founded her own production company, Fortis Films. But did you know she could rap, too? She showed off her skills while visiting “The Jonathan Ross Show” in 2013, successfully rapping the opening verse of The Sugarhill Gang classic “Rapper’s Delight”. Despite some obvious nerves, Bullock performs admirably, maintaining a steady flow and remembering all the lyrics – which is really half the battle when it comes to rapping.

#8: Adele

When 15-time Grammy winner Adele appeared in James Corden’s wildly successful “Late Late Show” segment “Carpool Karaoke”, the last thing anyone expected her to do was rap. Corden prods her by saying that she can “spit some rhymes”, and proceeds to put on Nicki Minaj’s verse from the Kanye West song “Monster”. Adele flat-out slays the verse, nailing the delivery from start to finish. We had no clue the woman behind a song like “Hello” could have such a nasty flow. Seriously, when’s Adele going to drop a rap album?

#7: Anne Hathaway

Top 10 Moments That Made Us Love Anne Hathaway

As if the world needed another reason to love this multi-talented actress! During a visit to ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden” – yes, him again – Anne Hathaway proved that she’s equally at home spitting fire as she is belting out a tune from “Les Misérables”. The Academy Award winner went toe-to-toe with the talk show host, and wound up beating him at his own game. This wasn’t the first time Hathaway showed her rap skills off to the world, either. During a visit to “Conan” she proved she can write rhymes just as adeptly as she can spit them, with a little ditty about the paparazzi.

#6: Idris Elba

Here’s something you probably didn’t know about MCU actor and all-around badass Idris Elba: in addition to being an award-winning actor, he’s also a DJ, singer and rapper! Working under the pseudonym DJ Big Driis, Elba has worked with everyone from Jay-Z to Macklemore, and has even DJed at events such as the 2007 NBA All-Star party in Las Vegas. In 2015, he showed off his rap skills alongside Nigerian singer D’banj on the song “Confidential”, and later that year, opened for none other than Madonna in Berlin. Can someone say triple threat?

#5: Lupita Nyong’o

If you’d never heard of Lupita Nyong’o and Letitia Wright and someone showed you this video of them freestyling, you’d ask yourself, “Who in the world are these incredible female rappers?” The “Black Panther” castmates infuse their raps with off-the-cuff references to the film and the MCU as a whole, making for one hell of a viewing experience. Of course, this is hardly the first time Lupita Nyong’o has shown the world she’s got bars. The actress once freestyled over Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind”, and even performed Salt-N-Pepa’s “Whatta Man” on “Lip Sync Battle” in 2016.

#4: Chris Pratt

Chris Evans VS Chris Hemsworth VS Chris Pratt VS Chris Pine

During a visit to DJ Whoo Kid’s “The Whoolywood Shuffle” radio show, “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt showed off his considerable skills with the microphone when he recited the iconic Dr. Dre and Eminem track “Forgot About Dre”. We honestly can’t decide what’s most impressive about Pratt’s rendition of the song. Is it the way he enunciates his words? The fact that he includes all of the song’s sound effects? Or is it simply because it’s fun to see an A-list actor spit fire like no one’s watching? It’s probably a combination of all three.

#3: Millie Bobby Brown

“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown has a god-given talent. She’s clever, captivating and always gives 110% when she performs, and we’re not just talking about her acting – she can drop some bars, too. Despite being barely into her teens, Brown has the polished skill of a seasoned vet. Her flow is smooth, her lyrics biting, and she emits nothing but absolute confidence. She’s twice shown off her rap skills on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, and both times left the audience in a riot. At this rate, she could win a Grammy somewhere down the line.

#2: Natalie Portman

Top 10 Greatest Natalie Portman Performances

Oscar winner, philanthropist, and... gangster rapper? One of these things is not like the others, but in Natalie Portman’s case it definitely belongs! All you need to do is check out the “Saturday Night Live” digital short she did with Andy Samberg back in 2006 to see just how hard of a rapper she really is. “Natalie’s Rap” is down and dirty, with a pissed off Portman letting it all hang loose with some aggressive, profanity-laced lines. She followed it up with “Natalie’s Rap 2” in 2018 – and once you’ve seen it, you’ll never look at her the same way again. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions: Gwyneth Paltrow Selena Gomez Kobe Bryant

#1: Daniel Radcliffe

When “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe sat down with Jimmy Fallon in 2014, few could have predicted that he was about to redefine what it meant to be a celebrity who can rap. As Fallon cautiously explained, “Alphabet Aerobics” by Blackalicious is “one of the trickiest, fastest songs” that he knows. It’s a lyrical roller coaster full of alliteration and more words than “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. Of course, Radcliffe wouldn’t be at number one unless he absolutely killed it. As it turns out, the man can straight up slay. Harry Potter, we salute you.
