They’re the songs that showed us all it’s possible to be sexy at any age. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Cougar Songs. For this list, we’re only featuring songs that deal with relationships or attractions between older women and younger men. We’re excluding those situations that are the reverse, in other words, where the men are considerably older than the women or girls they are courting or dating.

#10: “Edge of Seventeen” (1982) Stevie Nicks

Unlike many of the cougar-praising tunes on this countdown, this sultry song comes from the perspective of the cougar in question. With lyrics that point to both hesitation and lustful abandonment, the woman in this song speaks with the desire to please her partner, and to teach him a thing or two about the delicate intricacies of love and sexual fulfillment with a sense of both freedom and independence. A Stevie Nicks signature tune, “Edge of Seventeen” also made the Billboard Hot 100’s top twenty in the early ‘80s.

#9: “Don’t Talk to Strangers” (2009) Hedley

A sexy cougar on the prowl is the topic of this upfront tune, which presents the portrait of an older woman looking for some lovin’ from a much younger man. With a yoga-toned body, and alluring ambition, this lady has one thing on her mind, and the narrator of this song is happy to oblige. “Don’t Talk to Strangers” describes this cougar to be “hotter than hell” - despite the fact that the narrator’s mother told him to not talk to strangers… maybe they should have listened to their mothers.

#8: “Wrapped Around Your Finger” (1983) The Police

Seduced into an affair with an older married woman, this song’s narrator feels intrigued by the prospect of learning more about the ways of love and passion the way only a seasoned woman can teach. Sting sings about being wrapped around an older woman’s finger while having a teacher and apprentice relationship. Filled with a lingering melody and epic lyrics which include mythological and literary figures, this is a tale of boyhood curiosity at its finest.

#7: “Fat Bottomed Girls” (1978) Queen

The narrator of this big booty-praising tune recounts his experience with his much older nanny inspiring a love for the fuller-figured ladies. While the lyrics don’t specify the exact behavior that made this encounter “naughty”, we think you can use your imagination… This ultimate babysitter fantasy remains a memorable account of the benefits of encountering a much older woman to usher you into manhood. Thank you, Queen!

#6: “Diana” (1957) Paul Anka

Also in:

Steve Stevens Working with Michael Jackson on Dirty Diana

This sweet 1950s song has a man at the mercy of his older girlfriend. Undeterred by the comments of others regarding their age gap, this guy seems hung up on his lady through thick and thin and motivated to work things out in the face of their age taboo, as well as the insecurity he feels about her true feelings. Filled with both a sense of hope and fear of heartbreak, this song proves that the intriguing allure of a sexy cougar has always been one of music’s most fulfilling muses.

#5: “Hot For Teacher” (1984) Van Halen

We’ve all had that one teacher we wanted to keep us after class, and this song indulges us in all of our after school fantasies with enthusiasm that doesn’t hold back one bit. Simply put: this energetic cannon of raw sexuality is male teenage hormones put to music. “Teacher’s Pet” or not, you can’t deny that after hearing this tune, you’re gonna want to head back to school to learn some new lessons from a sexy educator.

#4: “Desiree” (1977) Neil Diamond

This detailed story of a boy’s first sexual experience with an older woman leaves little to the imagination. It’s also chock full of lust, admiration, and love for the woman who made him a man. Filled with fondness and appreciation for everything she showed him in their one night of passion, this Neil Diamond number shows you that with an older woman showing you the ropes, even your first time can be your best.

#3: “Stacy’s Mom” (2003) Fountains of Wayne

A teen boy’s friendship with his classmate might not be all that it’s cracked up to be in this cheeky nod to MILFs everywhere. The narrator clearly has one thing on his mind when he offers to help out around the house or finds any excuse to come over…and it’s not the affections of his school-aged companion Stacy. Filled with enthusiastic energy and an upbeat chorus, this story of a high school teen’s infatuation with his friend’s mother ranks as one for the fantasy books.

#2: “Maggie May” (1971) Rod Stewart

This tale of a young man’s troubled relationship with his older lover is the perfect combination of lustful apathy and lingering co-dependency as the narrator attempts to leave her while finding every reason to stay.
