Top 10 Disney Characters Who Should've Ended Up Together

Top 10 Disney Characters Who Should've Ended Up Together
VOICE OVER: Emily - WatchMojo WRITTEN BY: Santana Briggs
These are the Disney characters who should've ended up together. For this list, we're looking at all characters from all Disney properties, including movies and TV shows. Our countdown includes “Frozen II,” “Gravity Falls,” “Boy Meets World,” and more!

Sometimes it’s just so clear that two characters should’ve had a happily ever after. Welcome to MsMojo and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the top 10 Disney Characters Who Should’ve Ended Up Together.

For this list, we’re looking at all characters from all Disney properties, including movies and TV shows. However, the characters could have gotten together in the final episode; the main point here being that we wanted to see more of their relationship throughout the project. We’re also excluding films where it's kind of the point they didn't get together, like Esmerelda and Quasimodo from “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. That being said, a spoiler alert is now in effect.

#10: Elsa & Honeymaren
“Frozen II” (2019)

In the sequel to the iconic Disney movie “Frozen”, we get to know Elsa better and learn more about her and Anna’s past. During their quest to find out more about their parents, they meet Honeymaren and her family. There is an obvious connection between her and Elsa, but their stories take them in different directions. Even though they remain good friends, this is a pairing we wanted to see! Elsa has had so much bad luck; she deserves someone kind like Honeymaren. Disney has never featured an overtly LGBTQ+ relationship on the big screen before, but we say, no time like the present! Hopefully, we will see more of Honeymaren and Elsa should there be future “Frozen” installments.

#9: Dodger & Rita
"Oliver & Company" (1988)

Dodger and Rita are some of the first dogs Oliver meets when he is abandoned. Dodger is all confidence, while Rita is like a mom to the other dogs. They work together to protect Oliver and keep him out of trouble. Their quick-witted back and forth seems surface level, but it’s obvious that Dodger cares a lot about Rita. Dodger is known for being street-smart, but that has also made him too proud to tell Rita how he feels about her. We wish that these two would have just gotten over their pride and told each other how they felt because they would have made such a good couple!

#8: Marnie Piper & Luke
“Halloweentown” (1998) & “Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge” (2001)

Luke and Marnie have a rough start when he tries to flirt with her and she turns him down. Even though he was initially working for the bad guys, his friendship with Marnie makes him realize he is on the wrong side. Luke always supports Marnie, encourages her to be who she is and helps her get out of trouble. And Marnie eventually flirts with him, but it never goes further than that. These two have gone through so much it’s ridiculous that they don’t become a couple! Marnie and Luke ending up together really would have made all of our spookiest dreams come true.

#7: Dipper Pines & Pacifica Northwest
“Gravity Falls” (2012-16)

Pacifica and Dipper’s sister, Mabel, never got along, so these two were doomed from the start. In the beginning of the series, Pacifica is Mabel’s nemesis. Although Pacifica and Mabel end up putting aside their differences, Dipper takes longer to accept her. Dipper would tease Pacifica, but it was obvious his feelings for her were more than just friendly. Even though they strongly denied it, there was an obvious connection between them! At the end of the series, these two stay good friends, even though it is hinted at that they have feelings for each other. This couple gave us ultimate best friend goals but they should have been more!

#6: Shawn Hunter & Angela Moore
“Boy Meets World” (1993-2000) & “Girl Meets World” (2014-17)

As Corey’s funny best friend, we always rooted for Shawn, especially when it came to his relationship with Angela. They had such similar interests and the same type of family problems, so they understood each other on a deeper level. The feelings these two had for each other were so obvious, but they never seemed to be on the same page at the same time, which caused them to break up more than once. Even though the original series ended with the possibility of these two reconciling, their storyline came to an end on spin-off “Girl Meets World” when Angela shows up married. While we’re glad they both ended up happy, we’ll forever wish these two ended up together!

#5: Mary Poppins & Bert
“Mary Poppins” (1964)

These two are absolute icons in their own right! Bert was Mary’s faithful friend and would always tag along on adventures with her and the kids. He was a jack-of-all-trades and would go out of his way to help her. Even though they were strictly friends, there were moments where there seemed to be hints of something more. Bert even knew about her mysterious powers and enjoyed working with her to help the families she nannied for. Their relationship takes a backseat to the plot of the film, but we know we aren’t the only ones who wanted to see these two together!

#4: K.C. Cooper & Brett Willis
“K.C. Undercover” (2015-18)

This one-time couple had their ups and downs, that’s for sure! After pretending to be her boyfriend to lure her into a trap, Brett realized the feelings he had for KC were real. Unfortunately for them, the Other Side tasks Brett with taking out K.C., but he is not able to go through with his mission. Brett believes he is all bad but K.C. helps him realize there is some good in him. Even though it’s clear the two still have feelings for each other, the fact that they are on opposite sides means they can’t be together. These two never got their happy ending, but we can always dream!

#3: John Smith & Pocahontas
“Pocahontas” (1995)

The connection between these two was undeniable. Pocahontas introduces John Smith to her world and teaches him all about her life. Their chemistry is clear, and they complement each other so well. Because of issues bigger than themselves though, they aren’t able to be together. When John Smith gets injured and has to return home, it’s clear that their time together has come to an end. They come from different worlds, but their attraction to each other is indisputable. It broke our hearts to see how it ended, because it’s so clear that their feelings for each other persisted.

#2: Phineas Flynn & Isabella Garcia-Shapiro
“Phineas and Ferb” (2007-15)

While Phineas and Ferb gave us some of our favourite animated characters’ unrequited love stories, like Ferb and Vanessa, Isabella and Phineas take the cake. These two were best friends, but it was obvious that there was more to their friendship. Isabella was always helping Phineas with his schemes, never missing an opportunity to spend time with him. Not only did they enjoy being around one another, but they also brought out the best in each other. Even though they started out as friends, the later episodes seem to hint at something more romantic. This is one couple we can’t believe didn’t end up together!

#1: Nick Wilde & Judy Hopps
“Zootopia” (2016)

Nick and Judy are complete opposites that start out as enemies. When they team up to catch a criminal, they come to realize they actually complement each other and have a strong connection. It is so clear to us that these two would have made a great couple! Their back and forth banter is hilarious, but our favourite part of this duo is how deeply they care about each other. They’re constantly keeping one another out of danger as shown when Nick stays by Judy’s side when she gets hurt. We wish this movie had a sequel, if only to see these two soulmates get together!
