VOICE OVER: Dan

Join http://www.WatchMojo.com as we count down the top 10 video games to play with family during the Holidays. To keep these suggestions realistic, we're sticking to newer titles, and franchises that regularly refresh for modern gaming systems.

#10- Raving Rabbids Series

Kicking off our list is the harmlessly psychotic mini game series starring the plunger-obsessed rabbids! With several games across all of the major platforms, and countless mini game types to choose from, including arcade shooting and guessing games, there’s plenty to do with friends and family! No matter your poison, you can’t help but laugh at the sheer insanity!

#9- Wii Sports Resort

What’s that? You can’t afford a family vacation on a tropical paradise? Don’t own sports equipment either? Not a problem. Okay, it’s not a substitute for the real deal, but the advanced motion controls and charming graphics of Wii Sports resort should appeal to everyone under your roof. The motion-enabled activities include archery, canoeing, cycling and swordplay. Where else can you push your kid off a fifty-foot platform?

#8- Mario Party Series

What would any get together be without a board game, and why deal with a real boardgame that you can lose of the pieces to? While chance still plays a major role in this Mario themed party game, its your skill that will help you best the other three opponents as you navigating diverging paths to collect the most stars! You don’t have to be the best, just better than the rest!

#7- Rockband

Do you come from a musically inclined family, or one that’s simply interested in pretending to be? Sure, this game requires some hefty peripherals modeled after the real band equipment, but it’s well worth it. When you’re looking to feel like a rockstar and jam to your favorite tunes, there’s no substitute! Plus, no party is complete without Karaoke…

#6- Super Smash Bros.

A little violence never hurt anyone! A far cry from any other arcade-style beat ‘em up, this child friendly Nintendo flavored affair is very charming. In fact, parents will have just as much fun button mashing, especially if it means knocking their kids into orbit. A story mode is also accessible for a richer experience, not that we ever got bored with the free for all or team matches.

#5- Just Dance

A dance series spanning various consoles, it can be played with the Wii, PS move, or Xbox Kinect. This one has you and your friends attempt to mimic the on-screen dancers as they go about their routine. Let’s not forget the dance quests, unlockables and Just Sweat mode, which you may or may not want to try in the company of others…

#4- Dance Central Series

Really like to just dance? This Xbox exclusive is Kinect enabled and allows players to not only dance to their favorite music from various decades, but also allows you to play as many different unlockable characters. Arguably the best game to make use of Kinect, it appeals to both beginners and experts alike and has several modes that offer loads of variety.

#3- Little Big Planet

This great single player experience is even better with company. Exclusive to Sony’s systems, no other console game features the creation of thousands of levels every day by a wide community. A top pick for a party game, there is so much to see and experience. You can even make and play platforming levels inspired by your other favorite franchises and movies!

#2- Mario Kart

Everyone loves to race around the Mushroom Kingdom! A family friendly race game, real world physics take a backseat to sheer fun! With an iteration appearing on each and every Nintendo platform, there’s a wide accessibility, and all ages will love firing Koopa shells at each other on the track or in the balloon popping battle areas!

#1- Nintendo Land

Taking the top spot on our list is the Wii U launch title that combines the mass appeal of Nintendo’s franchise characters and the simplicity of party games. It also ramps up the fun with the addition of a fifth player that can use the gamepad to see what others cannot! This X-factor makes for some pretty wild antics, whether it’s running from or hunting that omnipotent character in Luigi’s Ghost Mansion or in Mario Chase!
