Top 10 Female Fighting Game Characters

Special Thanks to our users "Norris Vaughn" "Jeffrey Ballesteros" & "Daniel Fong" for suggesting this topic on our website WatchMojo.comsuggest
#10: Sonya Blade
“Mortal Kombat” series (1992-)
Kicking off our list is the special agent who entered the infamously deadly tournament in order to avenge her unnamed teammate who killed by the criminal Kano. With her deadly legs, fiery kisses and military background, this beautiful blonde was the only female character of the original game, and the first in a long line of (literal) femme fatales.
#9: Ms. Fortune
“Skullgirls” (2012)
Hailing from the land of Canopy, this feline feral managed to swallow a gem of life as her whole gang was slaughtered, allowing her to remain alive even when her body has been torn to pieces. Pieces which she can then use to throw, cut and bite her opponent. With her catty attitude and laid back demeanour, she's just a big kitty at heart... that can play with her own head.
#8: B.B. Hood
“Darkstalkers” series (1994)
Aww now who wouldn't like this adorable little blonde girl? With her red hood, little basket, childish smile and... Machine gun? Yes, you heard right. This little bounty hunter started her career after her grandmother was killed by a werewolf, so now she’s packin heat instead of buttery treats. She's the embodiment of a dark twist to the Charles Perrault story, a twisted version of little Red Riding Hood.
#7: Cammy
“Street Fighter” series (1993-)
Very famous for her pigtails and fighting in a skin thigh leotard, this agent of the delta red commando unit quickly saw her fandom expand thanks to her quite revealing outfit, as well as her equally provocative poses. Her camouflage, beret and cheek scar would clearly mark her as a fighter to anyone who would be lured otherwise lured in by her charm... or her legs would crush him.
#6: Ivy Valentine
“Soul Calibur” series (1998-)
We could go on forever about the tragic story of the Valentine household, and how this beautiful lass came to involved with the evil Soul Edge, but that's not exactly what drew her on this list. Her curvaceous figure, whip-sword and minimalist attire all leave little to the imagination, and have drawn a mixture of desire and fear in the heart of fans for years.
#5: Kasumi
“Dead or Alive” series (1996-)
A Runaway Shinobi bent on avenging her brother, this beautiful redhead made many a fan drool with her various costumes and ample proportions, the latter being beautifully animated even in the first game. Though some may purport to prefer watching her partake in some non-violent volleyball, true fans know she’s best in combat, where she wipes the floor with her opponents thanks to her speed and cartwheel attacks.
#4: Morrigan
“Darkstalkers” series (1994)
Iconic character of the franchise, this bat-winged succubus certainly has the look of the job. Morrigan’s the type of girl that could make you learn to love a few imperfections, like 2 sets of hideous bat-wings. Her techniques involve magic, and reshaping her wings into weapons and shield. Not really evil, but quite mischievous, as she lives for the excitement of the fight.
#3: Kitana
“Mortal Kombat” series (1992-)
Princess of the dimensional kingdom of Outworld, this beautiful lady is actually over ten thousands years old. She sure aged well, remaining a nimble assassin with her deadly war-fans. Seeing how she can cut you in pretty much any way possible, it's a good thing she's one of the good guys, unlike her disfigured clone Mileena.
#2: B. Orchid
“Killer Instinct” series (1994-)
Another lone female character that became a standout hit, this spy-gall can fight with energy swords, turn into a fire cat and look deadly hot in her skin tight green body suits, both the original and her reboot outfit. One of the most popular characters of the franchise, it may have to do with her famous finishing move, where she causes her opponent to have a heart attack in the kindest way possible.
Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
Dural
“Virtua Fighter” (1995)
Helga
“ClayFighter” (1994)
Ayane
“Dead or Alive” (1996)
Takki
“Soul Calibur” (1999)
#1: Chun Li
“Street Fighter” series (1991-)
Was there ever any doubt? The iconic Chinese girl in the blue dress literally became a symbol of the fighting game genre and was also one the first female character in fighting games altogether. With her cute face, rockin’ bod and muscular but oh so deadly legs, she takes the top of this list.
