#10: “Persona 5” (2017)

What can we say that hasn’t already been said about “Persona 5”? It’s got a fantastic story, a beautiful art style, the characters are lovable – what’s not to love? Unfortunately for many, it’s a PlayStation exclusive. Why shut out Nintendo and even Xbox players from this amazing game? There is some hope, however, since a few domain names surfaced back in August 2017 suggesting a re-release. While it’s a little far fetched, at least there’s some spark of hope, for now.

Despite its long development, “Final Fantasy XV” turned out to be one of 2016’s best games, and a standout entry in a franchise full of great games. Getting it on a Switch would be awesome, but so far, it’s proven to be a bit of challenge. Square Enix has already tried running the game on Switch, but sadly, it didn’t get the desired results. Well, hey, they did announce a “Pocket Edition” for Android and iPhone devices. A port of that actually wouldn’t be half-bad. Unfortunately, like most of our entries here, the future remains unclear.
#8: “Injustice 2” (2017)
As evident by the newest port of Street Fighter II, fighting games have a promising future on the Switch. So, Warner Brothers, how about bringing over “Injustice 2?” The controls are easy to learn and both of the Switch’s controllers have a similar layout to the PlayStation's DualShock controllers and Xbox’s controllers. So, mapping shouldn't be an issue, right? Assuming the graphics aren't too much for the Switch to handle, a port of “Injustice 2” means another great fighter in the Switch library. Injustice 2 Director Ed Boon has already shown interest in the Switch platform, so, that’s got to mean something, right?
#7: “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” (2017)

Surprisingly, Nintendo has already welcomed a few horror-inspired games into the Switch’s library, but all eyes have been on Capcom. It’s great that we’re getting a complete collection of “Resident Evil: Revelations 1 and 2” in November 2017, but, show of hands, who here wants RE7 for their Switch? Are you raising your hand? You should be. The game has already released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Let’s not leave hardcore Nintendo fans out of this experience.
#6: “The Witcher III: Wild Hunt” (2015)

So, where is our “Witcher 3” port? Let’s go adventuring with Geralt again, roaming around the Continent’s beautiful environments. Our point here is that we got “Breath of the Wild”, “Skyrim”, and “Doom” on Switch, with all three being massive games in size and content. With “The Witcher 3”, we’ll have another massive game to play during lengthy road trips and flights. For the moment, a port is merely pure speculation, but if they can make it work, this one’s a no-brainer.

The last time Blizzard ported a game to a Nintendo console was almost twenty years ago, and while “StarCraft 64” may have its shortcomings, Nintendo deserves a second chance! “Diablo III” would be awesome to have on Switch, thanks to the console’s portability. Players wouldn’t have to worry about dedicating hours-long sessions grinding for gear – you can take the grind with you! Waiting for the bus? Chip away at your current quests. Going to a friend’s house? Team up and take down some demons side-by-side!

The “Call of Duty” franchise hasn’t exactly had the best track record when it comes to Nintendo ports. They would often have poor graphics, missing content, and a lack of many different features. This led to most players just going to PlayStation and Xbox for their fix of “Black Ops” and “Modern Warfare”. Fast-forward to today, and the Switch has proven it can play ball with the big boys, featuring graphics, power, and Internet connectivity comparable to its competitors. Plus, the various control schemes could complement different playstyles, whether you want to use motion controls, Joy-Con, or Pro Controller. Let’s just hope the weird “voice-chat” app thing gets better before this happens...

We can already see the headlines now… “Dark Souls III on a Nintendo console!” Just the thought gets us all giddy! “Dark Souls III” was the best in the series with its epic boss fights, beautiful scenery, and challenging gameplay. So, having it on a portable console? Hell yeah, we’d shell another sixty dollars for that! That dream may be coming true, since back in December 2016, FromSoftware stated they got a build of “Dark Souls 3” running on the Switch. Even better, they’re considering releasing the entire trilogy, DLC and all, for the Switch port! If it’s true, then it can’t come soon enough.

Okay, maybe a hugely dense game like Diablo is simply too big and complicated for the Switch. How about Overwatch, though? The game took the world by storm in 2016, and it runs incredibly smooth on consoles. Even at the lowest in-game settings, the game looks and runs incredibly well. So, where's our Switch port? Its fast-paced action is perfect for the Switch’s quick access. If we got a few spare minutes, we have enough time for a match or two. We have a glimmer of hope in this possibility, thanks to Jeff Kaplan and company expressing interest in the Switch. Now, we play the waiting game. This gaming giant has been out of Nintendo’s grasp for far too long. “Grand Theft Auto” has graced PlayStation and Xbox with its presence throughout its lifespan. Nintendo has seen a few titles, but these have been for the Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, and Nintendo DS. Let’s face it; those don’t compare to its console counterparts. Honestly, we can’t see why you wouldn’t bring “Grand Theft Auto V” to the Switch, with its unique single-player and multiplayer experience. Luckily, there have been rumors floating around recently. “GTA V” is still selling like hotcakes, and a port to the Switch would only boost sales.
