George and Amal had been married just over a year when they stepped out on the red carpet together for the premiere of “Our Brand Is Crisis”; a film George had produced with Grant Heslov. Mr. Clooney wore a simple yet stunning all black suit, which allowed the focus to be on Amal’s more eye-catching outfit. She wore a blush colored Roland Mouret shift dress with a high neckline and a cinched waist. To finish things off, she paired the frock with metallic heels, which added an added element of interest to the look.

#9: “Tomorrowland” Tokyo Premiere (2015)

Our couple du jour travelled to Tokyo to promote George’s film, “Tomorrowland,” a sci-fi flick named for one of the futuristic attractions found in Disney parks. George let Amal shine once again for the occasion, by wearing a classic black suit worn casually without a necktie. Amal, on the other hand, was no wallflower; she donned a silk gown designed by Missoni in a shade of yellow that looked nearly gold in certain lighting. The sleeveless dress put the emphasis on the lawyer’s toned shoulders, with a flirty flower adding interest at the neck.

#8: 66th Berlin International Film Festival (2016)

George and Amal were together again for the Berlin premiere of the movie “Hail, Caesar!”, in which George starred. The event was part of the Berlinale and the couple took the opportunity to pull out all the stops in terms of red carpet drama. They matched in all-black ensembles, but Amal’s was once again the real standout: she wore a sparkling mermaid style dress that featured a sheer tulle overskirt. Her classically styled hair and makeup tempered the modern silhouette of her gown, bringing old and new Hollywood together in one look.

#7: Casamigos Tequila Launch (2015)

The Clooneys travelled to the Spanish island of Ibiza to launch their new tequila brand, Casamigos. What’s more, George’s business partner Rande Gerber and his wife Cindy Crawford were also there to celebrate the occasion. Amal was dressed appropriately for the event in a shimmering gold mini dress, which was perfect for a night that was sure to be quite the party. George went casual, opting for blue jeans and a breezy, untucked white shirt, making him look laid back and relaxed.

#6: 72nd Golden Globe Awards (2015)

For this black tie event, these A-listers looked flawless in their formalwear. For the 2015 edition of the Golden Globe Awards, both George and Amal turned heads in coordinating black and white ensembles that were elegant and classic. It was Amal’s first Golden Globes, and she chose a stunning Dior Haute Couture gown paired with white gloves to create a striking contrast. When accepting the Cecil B. DeMille award that night, George thanked his new wife in a touching speech that was one of the highlights of the evening – along with their stunning red carpet appearance, of course.

#5: 42nd César Awards (2017)

Even after news broke that she was pregnant with twins, Amal Clooney never ceased to display her trademark elegance on the red carpet. The human rights attorney travelled to Paris to attend the César Film Awards where George was being honored with a career award. She wore a dramatic strapless gown that featured a feathered skirt with a dyed ombre effect. George may have been the one receiving an award, but she was undoubtedly the center of attention nonetheless. But naturally, he did look dapper as always in a classic black tuxedo.

#4: “Hail, Caesar!” Premiere (2016)

For the Universal Premiere of the 2016 film, “Hail Caesar!”, George and Amal hit the red carpet in Westwood, California. For the event, Amal’s dress was designed by Giambattista Valli and the red flowers that adorned the bodice perfectly matched the carpet beneath her feet. She also wore crimson colored lipstick to bring the look together even more. George, on the other hand, was in his standard uniform of a black suit, though he dressed it town with a mock neck shirt rather than a standard dress shirt.

#3: “Suburbicon” Premiere (2017) George and Amal welcomed their first children together, twins Ella and Alexander, on June 6th, 2017. Only a few months later, they made their first appearance as new parents at the 2017 Venice Film Festival, where they attended the premiere of “Suburbicon” at the Sala Grande. Both George and Amal sported looks by Italian designers for the occasion: George looked sharp in a tux by Giorgio Armani, while Amal wore a floaty lavender colored gown by Atelier Versace, which featured a chiffon skirt and perfectly fitted bodice.

The Costume Institute Gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is fashion’s night to shine, and the Clooneys took the opportunity to dress to the nines. The theme of the evening was “China: Through the Looking Glass” and Amal wore a mixed-material gown that felt like a subtle nod to the design of the region. John Galliano custom created the dress for her from Maison Margiela. George, meanwhile, made it a white tie affair, donning tails as well as a white bow tie and a red pocket square to coordinate with his wife. #1: 69th Cannes Film Festival (2016)

In 2016, George starred in the crime drama “Money Monster” and he and Amal attended a screening of the film at Cannes. Never one to look like a “plus one,” Amal stood out in an Atelier Versace dress in a pale shade of yellow. And the one-shoulder design, impressive slit and Grecian style were absolutely stunning. In fact, her old-Hollywood style hair and makeup made her look like a movie star in her own right. George looked handsome beside her in a standard tuxedo, and together this couple was the epitome of class.
