Top 10 Hardest Just Dance Songs EVER
#10: “Maniac” (2009) by Studio Allstars
“Just Dance: Summer Party” (2011)
Originally released on “Just Dance 2,” this song is deceivingly difficult! For a level advertised as medium, you wouldn’t expect such a fast-paced routine. Plus, all of that stretching before the moves even start requires the player to be super flexible. Same goes for this song’s gold move; if you aren’t careful with that bridge, you could get seriously hurt! And, what’s the perfect way to wrap up a dance that channels your inner gymnast? A full front split, of course! This level is now only available to play on “Just Dance: Summer Party,” so take note if you’re looking to go back and give this one a try!
#9: “Pump It” (2005) by Black Eyed Peas
“Just Dance 3” (2011)
If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a member of the “Black Eyed Peas,” here’s your chance! This song from “Just Dance 3” is one of the first in the series to have an effort rating of “3+,” and it certainly shows. There isn’t a dull moment in this level, and all the moves are extra energetic. All that jumping alone will have you out of breath in no time! Fun fact about this level: the coach performing the dance is Harry Shum Jr., better known as Mike Chang from “Glee”!
#8: “Rasputin” (1978) by Boney M.
“Just Dance 2” (2010)
It may be challenging, but it’s so much fun! This song is one of the hardest – and most popular – from “Just Dance 2.” It’s even reappeared on later versions of the game! The choreography for this level is inspired by the “kozachok,” which is a traditional Ukrainian folk dance. Protip: If your first time giving it a go is in your living room, make sure to give yourself some extra space. And don’t forget to stretch, especially for the squat move – you’ll definitely feel that one in your legs the next day! Once you’re a total pro, though, you can show off your “kozachok” at every party! (Whoever begs you to stop is just a hater, BTW!)
#7: “#thatPOWER” (2013) by will.i.am feat. Justin Bieber
“Just Dance 2014” (2013)
The “Just Dance” choreographers must love this song because there are actually four different versions to perform! While the classic mode of the routine isn’t too intense, it only gets more difficult as you try the new levels. The On-stage mode is a three-person performance that has a lot of variation in its movements. The Mashup – which comes unlocked with the game – has a difficulty rating of extreme which is most likely due to all of the unpredictable moves! But that’s not all: there’s also a standalone Extreme version of the song. Our advice? Pick one version to five-star at a time!
#6: “Jopping” by SuperM
“Just Dance 2022” (2021)
We hope you have a group of super coordinated friends to try this one with! And no chickening out – there’s only an Extreme version of this song to play. This dance has so many lightning-fast moves and not a lot of repetition. You’ll probably have to just sit and watch it a few times to get the hang of the rhythm! Throughout the level, each player gets their own solo… and they’re all unique, so no copying! This song is a long one with a bunch of quick changes, so we hope you’re willing to commit some time to get this dance down.
#5: “Havana” (Tango Version) (2018) by Camila Cabello
“Just Dance 2019” (2018)
Who’s trying to have a “Just Dance” date night? This song may be the perfect… Just maybe not on the first date! This unlockable level is a two-player Tango edition of the song “Havana.” Be warned though, the moves aren’t your typical “Just Dance” choreography. This routine is heavily dependent on you and your dance partner working together. Complete with dips, turns, and salsa moves, this is a mega intricate performance that requires a lot of trust and practice. On the bright side, now you don’t need to pay for tango lessons!
#4: “Circus” (Extreme Version) (2008) by Britney Spears
“Just Dance 2016” (2015)
All eyes on you in the center of the ring… especially if you can get these moves down! The Extreme version of “Circus” on “Just Dance 2016” is some seriously strenuous choreography. It moves super fast, and it flows more like a fluid routine than a series of movements. But, what makes this song so difficult is its chorus. Be extra cautious with this one – there’s a “death drop” right in the middle of the dance! And no time at all to recover from it, either. Hopefully you’ve been doing your squats to practice for this number!
#3: “Bad Romance” (Extreme Version) (2009) by Lady Gaga
“Just Dance 2022” (2021)
Calling all Little Monsters! All of the Lady Gaga songs in “Just Dance” are notoriously challenging, but the Extreme version of “Bad Romance” takes the cake. Some of these moves are… interesting, to say the least. But, hey, that’s Gaga for you! The dance switches up constantly, so you’ll never know what’s coming next… Unless, of course, you play it for hours on end, which might not be a bad idea – especially if you’re looking for a workout! Once you’ve practiced this routine enough, you should be eligible to be an honorary Lady Gaga backup dancer!
#2: “Animals” (Extreme Version) (2014) by Martin Garrix
“Just Dance 2016” (2015)
Have you ever listened to house music and wondered, “how am I supposed to dance to this?” If you have, give this “Just Dance 2016” level a try! Because of its upbeat tempo, the Extreme version of the song “Animals” by Martin Garrix has nonstop energy. Like some of the other Extreme levels from this list, this dance is chaotic in the best way. Staying on the beat is hard enough, but especially when there’s no way to predict some of these intense moves! Even the pro teaching the dance on the game looks exhausted!

“Just Dance 2017” (2016)
Are you ready to let it all out? This song starts at a 10 and continues to escalate the entire time! After simply watching the routine, you’ll wonder how anyone short of a professional dancer could perfect this one. But don’t let that stop you from trying! You’ll require flexibility, coordination, and a whole lot of rhythm. The also footwork refuses to let up, and you’ll have to get a hang of your high kick as well, but we know you can get there. Plus, if you bring this performance to the club, all eyes will be on you!
