Top 10 Hilarious Chloe Fineman Impressions on SNL

Top 10 Hilarious Chloe Fineman Impressions on SNL
VOICE OVER: Kirsten Ria Squibb WRITTEN BY: Tal Fox
Nobody currently on "SNL" does finer impressions. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for “SNL” cast member Chloe Fineman's most entertaining and enjoyable celeb send-ups. Our countdown includes Britney Spears, Nicole Kidman, Phoebe Dynevor, and more!

#10: Actors from 2020’s Oscar-Nominated Movies

Did you know that the key to snagging an Oscar nomination is through “steering wheel acting?” Chloe Fineman does! But don’t worry, those period pieces are still in with a shot as long as they adopt the older “buggy acting” technique. Indeed, her impression of the cast of 2019’s “Little Women” using this method is Oscar-worthy in itself! The way she captures the mannerisms and idiosyncrasies of Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, and Meryl Streep is absolutely priceless! However, don’t fret; movies without a car or buggy scene are in for a shot, too… as long as they have a teacup scene! ScarJo, is that you?

#9: Julia Stiles in “Save the Last Dance”

Julia Stiles was having her moment in the late 90s to early 00s. So, if you or your significant other were big fans of her work, then there’s perhaps no sexier holiday gift than a reenactment of her final audition routine from “Save the Last Dance.” It almost feels like Fineman grew up watching the movie religiously and perfected her moves with every viewing. She’s really captured the bizarre essence of that final dance, along with everything that made it so iconic. Just as we think this can’t get any better, enter Julia Stiles. We’d give this duo a spot in Juilliard, too.

#8: Phoebe Dynevor

With Regé-Jean Page hosting, a “Bridgerton” sketch seemed inevitable. Sure enough, it happened, but not quite in the way we might have imagined. Fineman steps into the shoes of Daphne actress Phoebe Dynevor, alongside the host, as they meet their new intimacy coordinators. It’s a hilariously absurd setup, but Fineman’s dead-on impression often gets overlooked. She not only looks the part but also captures Dynevor’s voice and nuances perfectly. The actress announced that she had bid farewell to the series for its third season. However, if the writers have any fresh ideas for Daphne’s character arc, we can think of someone else they can call.

#7: Her “SNL” Castmates

When you spend long enough time with anyone, you’re bound to pick up on their speech patterns and non-verbal behaviors. However, Chloe has deliberately been studying her castmates’ mannerisms, you know, in case they ever need an understudy. Her Kate McKinnon is hilarious, and her Cecily Strong is excellent, too. She even helps Melissa Villaseñor get through a breakup with uncanny precision. Frankly, if the entire cast happened to call in sick one day, Chloe could effortlessly carry the show solo, and we probably wouldn’t even notice. Well, maybe she and Ego together. Yet, she’s so flawless that, like Aidy, we have no notes.

#6: Timothée Chalamet

In a sketch where stars audition to read Britney Spears’ “The Woman in Me” audiobook, Chloe stands out with several hilarious impressions. She truly shines here as Natasha Lyonne, Julia Fox, and Timothée Chalamet (who’s also in the sketch). Apparently, he even “got a kick out of it” and chuckled at her impression of him. She also brought her Chalamet impression to “SNL at Home” episodes while poking fun at celebs giving masterclasses during quarantine. Her JoJo Siwa and Carole Baskin impressions are also brilliant, though Baskin might not have been the biggest fan. She nailed it again in yet another “MasterClass” skit, this time as “Fleabag’s” Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

#5: Nicole Kidman

We first glimpsed Fineman’s spot-on Nicole Kidman impression during her spoof of “The Drew Barrymore Show.” But then, the Aussie actress became the face of AMC Theatres, reminding us all of the pure magic of cinema. The commercial stirred up quite a buzz; naturally, “SNL” couldn’t resist weighing in. Luckily, they had the perfect impressionist for the job. She captures the sincere, dramatic essence of the source material. Plus, her Aussie accent isn’t too shabby. However, this version takes a darker turn after she delivers one of the commercial’s most memorable lines. It makes you wonder if anyone would notice the difference if they swapped it in at some AMC theaters.

#4: Elizabeth Olsen

Earlier, we established that if anyone on the “SNL” cast ever needed an understudy, Chloe Fineman would be the go-to person. However, she’s set her sights on something bigger— the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not that she would ever do anything shady and try and trick her way into the MCU, of course not! Well actually…. Her Elizabeth Olsen is so excellent that we don’t blame Benedict Cumberbatch for falling for it. If you weren’t already convinced that she could be a dead ringer for Olsen, the real actress walks in, and it’s almost like we’re seeing and hearing double. Perhaps Cumberbatch is right; maybe the Multiverse does exist!

#3: Jennifer Coolidge

Thanks to her role in “The White Lotus,” Jennifer Coolidge finally received the recognition she deserved, and “SNL” didn’t waste any time hopping on board. In the “The Black Lotus” sketch, Fineman perfectly embodies Coolidge’s character, Tanya McQuoid. However, it was the Christmas sketch that truly impressed—not just us, but Coolidge herself. Fineman effortlessly captures the actress’ unique speech patterns and quirks, embodying not just her appearance but her comedic essence as well. She really gets Coolidge's humor and larger-than-life personality just right. Just imagine if they were in a sketch together—it would be comedy gold! Someone, get Lorne Michaels on the line—pronto!

#2: Britney Spears

“SNL” used a chat show format to react to the documentaries released in light of the “Free Britney” movement. Fineman plays the pop star in a send-up that strikes the perfect balance between satire and loving respect. She's got the voice down pat, those signature Instagram moves, and a sprinkle of the singer’s charm. While Fineman’s Britney often feels ditzy and quirky, she highlights the words and actions of others who are “not that innocent.” She even reprised the bit in another episode’s cold open. When Britney's book “The Woman in Me” came out, she returned to play the pop star, introducing the actors considered for the audiobook.

#1: Drew Barrymore

Fineman knocked it out of the park with her spot-on parody of Drew Barrymore’s daytime talk show. The skit captures the lively atmosphere of the show with its vibrant set and Barrymore's infectious energy. Fineman dives deep into Barrymore's mannerisms, speech patterns, and bubbly persona, making it a delight to watch. Even Barrymore herself loved it, inviting Fineman to discuss it on her actual show. She also plays all the guests, including Reese Witherspoon, perfectly. It's clear that Fineman’s having a blast in the role, making the sketch all the more entertaining. If Barrymore ever wanted to take a day off, she has the perfect stand-in!
