This episode was the perfect blend of heartwarming nostalgia mixed in with Trixie and Katya’s usual sense of kooky humor. As soon as Trixie introduced herself as “the chemical burn from the spiral perm,” and Katya looked at her in utter shock and glee, we knew we were in for a wild ride. Katya’s iconic wheeze laugh got us right at the beginning, but watching the two play with baby dolls throughout the entire episode was also weirdly entertaining. The two also had some pretty insightful remarks about the nature of parenthood and the relationship between children and their parents, but of course, this is Trixie and Katya, so they always balanced it out with a humorous remark.

Hollywood, Los Angeles has added so much to the world of entertainment over the years, but most importantly, it gave us this video. The way these two talk about the city is both hilarious and sometimes poignant. But if we’re honest, we don’t remember this episode for its guide to Hollywood; we remember it for the utterly random things that happened. Katya really reached peak eccentricity here, and Trixie played well off of her energy. From the music puns to Trixie phoning Ron, there’s so much to love in this episode.

Ask, and you shall receive. If you’re an avid fan of the show, you may know that commenters have frequently begged the producers to do a greenscreen episode, and they certainly did not disappoint. #5: "Halloweenie”

Arguably, no one knows more about dressing up and costumes than drag queens. Trixie and Katya always have a lot of fun during their holiday specials; We mean, who could ever forget “Thanksliving,” honey? But “Halloweenie” stands out for Katya’s physical humor and Trixie’s childhood anecdotes. Katya was going all out. From her introduction to sucking on a rubber chicken, it’s clear that she was made for Halloween. We also loved Trixie’s story of the year her mom made her a dice costume because, of course, what kid doesn’t dream of dressing up as a white cube? It’s easy to see why this episode remains a fan favourite year-round.

What’s beyond the grave is never an easy subject to talk about, but somehow, Trixie and Katya manage to find the humor in everything. For an episode about such a dark topic, there were a surprisingly high number of wholesome moments that highlighted Trixie and Katya’s friendship. Trixie was also in top form here, cranking out joke after joke; there’s not a single dull moment. Her sense of humour is compounded by Katya’s rabid enthusiasm for all things beyond the grave, and together, they’re an unstoppable force in this episode. In fact, they had so much to say about death that it took them two episodes to cover the topic entirely.

#3: “RuPaul’s Drag Race #LipDub”

If you’ve ever come in contact with “UNHhhh,” you’re probably well aware of Katya’s love for a certain 1997 sci-fi movie starring Jodie Foster. Typically she’ll sprinkle in a few references to it here and there every so often, but it’s as though this episode was made for Katya’s entertainment. Although you might expect this episode to revolve entirely around “Contact,” it goes above and beyond that. Trixie and Katya talk about pressing space matters, like getting abducted by aliens and birthing velveeta shells and cheese lasagna. NASA should take notes from these two. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. “Hair” Because There’s So Much Chaotic Energy in This One “I’m in My 30s” Because Trixie Entering Her 30s Was a Momentous Occasion “Trixie’s a Virgo Who Can’t Drive” Because We Love a Good Read “RDR9 Promo Reaction” Because Who Doesn’t Love Some Nostalgia? “Traveling” Because These Queens Know How to Travel in Style.

#1: “Gurl, You Gay”

Katya and Trixie talking about gay culture is perhaps one of the best things to have ever graced Youtube. This is, undoubtedly, THE gay episode, and from beginning to end, it’s filled with memorable and quotable moments, like when Katya asks Trixie when she “chose” to be gay and when the two discuss how gay people talk to each other. The way these two approach their sexuality is refreshingly frank. At some points, they're sentimental. At others, they're totally random, but no matter what, they're always unfiltered.
