Top 10 Most Powerful Kids Cartoon Characters

#10: The Avatar
“Avatar: The Last Airbender” (2005-08) & “The Legend of Korra” (2012-14)
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. In a world populated by benders, who are people who can manipulate the elements at will, the Avatar clearly stands above the rest as the only person who can learn to use all four. The two main Avatars we have seen in the franchise, Aang and Korra, are both powerhouses in their own right. Both Aang and Korra also gained the ability to utilize the Avatar State, propelling their abilities even further by pulling from the experiences of their past lives to enhance their capabilities. The Avatar is even capable of taking away or restoring a person’s bending ability. No matter the situation, the Avatar ultimately finds a way to come out victorious.
#9: He-Man
“He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” (1983-85)
The most powerful man in the universe is surely one of the strongest cartoon characters around. When Prince Adam wielded the mighty Sword of Power, he could transform into the heroic He-Man by declaring proudly “By the power of Grayskull!” He-Man possessed a range of abilities from heightened speed and strength to incredible stamina and endurance. There is basically nothing this hero cannot do, even once hoisting an entire castle above his head and hurling it right through a portal. Even the supposed strongest metal in the universe, Photanium, was no match for the mighty muscles of He-Man! Whenever the day needed to be saved, it was comforting to know that He-Man could do whatever was needed to be done to beat the baddies.
#8: Cosmo & Wanda
“The Fairly OddParents” (2001-17)
Who wouldn’t want two magical fairies that could grant any wish you wanted? Timmy Turner, a 10 year old that’s ignored by his parents, gets just that in the form of Cosmo and Wanda! This pair of wacky fairies possess the power to reshape reality with just a flick of their wands. Of course, Cosmo and Wanda’s wish granting abilities usually caused quite a bit of trouble. The pair has altered the timeline by allowing Timmy to mess with past events, made everyone on Earth look identical which nearly destroyed all fairies, and even turned their godson evil by mistake! It’s a good thing the pair usually means well, because otherwise they could cause some real damage if they went rogue.
#7: Ben Tennyson
“Ben 10” franchise (2005-21)
With the power to alter his genetic code into alien forms at the touch of his fingers, Benjamin Tennyson is a force to be reckoned with. The original version of his alien watch, the Omnitrix, allowed him to change between 10 different forms in order to battle both petty criminals and supervillains alike. However, later versions allowed Ben to unlock additional forms by scanning alien DNA. With such adaptability combined with above average intelligence and a good memory, Ben is practically the superhero version of a Swiss Army Knife: always having the right tool for the situation. Ben even has access to a form known as Alien X, capable of shaping space, reality and time at will while being essentially indestructible! Villains beware!
#6: Bugs Bunny
“Looney Tunes” franchise (1930-)
“Eh…What’s up, doc?” The phrase that can stop any hunter in their tracks when they hear it is always spoken by one of the trickiest, wittiest rabbits around: Bugs Bunny. Typically Bugs is simply minding his own business when Elmer Fudd or Yosemite Sam decide to pay him a visit. Luckily, this feisty bunny displays a host of abilities that would frighten away any villain. He has been shown to be a master of disguise, capable of hiding in nearly plain sight that always tricks his foes. Of course, Bugs is also self aware and frequently makes comments towards the audience as well. Once a character starts talking to the viewer, you know you’re dealing with someone who’s on a whole different level.
#5: Steven Universe
“Steven Universe” (2013-19)
If you want to save the universe with kindness and compassion, Steven Universe is your go-to half gem-half human hybrid. Along with the other Crystal Gems, Steven works to master the powers he inherited from his diamond-in-disguise mother, Rose Quartz. Some of these abilities, like fusion, are possible for all gems, but Steven goes a step further with his ability to fuse with other humans. Along with superhuman strength and durability, Steven can summon shields, heal himself and others, and even resurrect the dead. Combined with his ability to both emotionally connect and empathize with his foes, there are few conflicts Steven cannot solve one way or the other. It isn’t always easy, but Steven is there to save the day.
#4: The Collector
“The Owl House” (2020-23)
Don’t judge a book by its cover is a good thing to remember when dealing with this little one. The Collector is a deity-like being from beyond the stars that arrived on the Boiling Isles and was later trapped by one of the Titans. From within his prison, he helped create plots for his escape, and upon his release his true power was revealed. With the flick of his finger, he moved the entire moon, halting an eclipse. A simple touch reduced the big bad of the series to a puddle of goo. That’s before they take over the entire isle and transform most of the residents into strange puppets under their control. Reality is their plaything, and the Collector loves a good game.
#3: Aku
“Samurai Jack” (2001-17)
Samurai Jack has long been known as a powerhouse in the cartoon world due to his masterful skills and the powerful weapon he wields. However, Jack’s ultimate foe, Aku, takes center stage as a supremely powerful being. With his near-immorality, shape-shifting ability, and incredible regeneration, the demon could escape and heal with ease, so even landing a harmful blow on the demon mattered little. Combined with his all-powerful use of dark magic through a variety of applications, Aku proved to be the ruler of the world for a good reason. He even showed himself to be skilled with weapons when he used his essence inside Ashi to combat Jack one on one with a sword. Just how many powers does one demon need?
#2: Bill Cipher
“Gravity Falls” (2012-16)
Don’t take this one-eyed triangle lightly. Bill Cipher is one of the most dangerous entities ever seen in cartoons. Originally from the flat second dimension, Bill obliterated the entire place and moved on to his new plan: uniting the Nightmare Realm with the reality of the third dimension. To accomplish this, Bill invaded the dreams of humans, made deals with them, possessed them, and generally twisted whoever he wanted to his will. Upon becoming corporeal in the third dimension, Bill’s power and reality manipulation only grew. He was able to warp humans into horrifying shapes or turn them into stone, summon monsters out of non-living things, and create a prison reality to trap Mabel inside of. He even destroyed the being in charge of time with ease. Now that is one mean triangle!
#1: The Guardian
“Amphibia” (2019-22)
Don’t let the fuzzy face fool you. This shape-shifting feline-like being is likely one of the strongest things we have ever seen in a kids’ cartoon. The Guardian is a genderless deity tasked with looking after an entire multiverse of innumerable worlds. They can copy and resurrect living creatures, observe endless realities, and take a multitude of shapes. In fact, their true form is so potent it apparently could destroy the brain of a human who looked upon them. The Calamity Gems, sources of limitless power and by far the strongest things in the series, were created by The Guardian for the simple purpose of finding someone worthy of taking their place. They truly are a force to be reckoned with.
