You may not know the movie, but you know the lines. Welcome to WatchMojo.com and today we’ll be counting down our top 10 favorite movie catchphrases.

#10- Show me the Money! “Jerry Maguire” (1996)

Kicking off our list is the catchphrase that’s become a big hit at birthdays, casinos and during unfortunate run-ins with disgruntled pimps. In order to show his one remaining client that he’s passionate and hungry enough to make big things happen, Tom Cruise delivers this line hesitantly at first, but emphatically in the end.

#9- There’s No Place Like Home “The Wizard of OZ” (1939)

A phrase that’s been uttered so many times it’s sometimes difficult to remember the origin, it’s the quintessential expression of homesickness. Dorothy’s mantra is the key to bringing her back to Kansas, and carries a touch of irony since we suspect there are a ton of places like her old farm, while Oz is certainly a bit more unique…

#8- Bond, James Bond “James Bond Series” (1962-)

It’s ironic that a super secret spy would become famous for saying his actual name, but, in his defense, it is catchy. He says it often enough! While he may just be saying his name, its how he does it that exudes such charm, and sex appeal. Admit it, you’ve tried it out with your name too haven’t ya? Thankfully, he has another catchphrase that’s a bit more universal…

#7- I’ll Make Him An Offer He Can’t Refuse! “The Godfather” (1972)

Have you threatened anyone’s life lately? When Don Corleone godson begs for help landing a major movie role, Brando tells him that it’s as good as done. What’s he mean by this? Well, let’s just say that he doesn’t horse around… Wait, wait, we can do better: He makes him an offer he can’t say nay too.

#6- May The Force Be With You “Star Wars Series” (1977-)

This one is for the sci-fi fans out there. Used to say goodbye and to wish someone luck in a galaxy far far away, it’s technically got more geek cred than it’s main sci-fi rival’s “Live Long and Prosper”. Though certainly not the only quotable phrase from the series, this is line has enough mediclorians to elevate it to catchphrase status.

#5- I’ll be back! “Terminator Trilogy” (1984-2003)

Arnie has been in countless action flicks and said hundreds of awesome, ridiculous sayings. However, his most famous, at least before the advent of the internet, are from this franchise. While we love the line he unleashes of the T-1000, he’s always going to be known for those catchy, Austrian tinged 3.5 magic words, which have become his personal trademark.

#4- Yippee Ki-Yay “Die Hard Series” (1988)

John McClane’s take on the classic Roy Roger’s phrase come into it’s own as the more famous of the two, becoming the battle cry of the modern cowboy. A signature of the series, it’s used in each of the installments, usually to help John punctuate something badass. With each subsequent iteration of the franchise, fans eagerly await when MacClane’s gonna get real and let this one fly.

#3- Say Hello to My Little Friend “Scarface” (1983)

When being modest about something just won’t cut it, there’s only one phrase to turn to. Unleashed during the rage and cocaine fueled last stand of the titular character, Pacino’s Scarface introduces his attackers to his favorite piece of hardware. It’s nice that even when surrounded by cock-a-roaches and coked up to his eyeballs, Tony’s still got time for a little dry humor.

#2- You Can’t Handle the Truth! “A Few Good Men” (1992)

There’s really only two reasons to watch this movie, 1 is to see Demi in that Navy Uniform, and the other is to hear this line. Here, Tom Cruise plays a young US Navy lawyer out to defend two U.S. Marines who are accused of murdering a fellow solider at Guantanamo Bay. This culminates in a heated exchange with the Colonel who ordered the so-called “code red” punishment, when hotheaded Jack Nicholson explains why he is above reproach.

#1- Go Ahead, Make My Day “Sudden Impact” (1983)

Taking the top spot on our list is the iconic catchphrase that most people often confuse with an equally notable taunt from “Dirty Harry”. However, this one is from the fourth film in the series, and occurs when Harry realizes that his favorite coffee shop is being held up, and kills all but one of the armed robbers. We’ve all tried replicating it, but its impossible without Clint Eastwood’s textbook snarl, otherwise known as his face. Agree with our list? What’s your all-time favorite movie catchphrase?
