Top 10 Psychotic Clowns in Video Games Kill them! Kill them with fire!! Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today, we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Psychotic Clowns in Video Games. For this list, we’re looking at the most deranged and insane video game clowns to haunt our dreams. We’re only including video game-specific clowns, and while the Joker has appeared in many “Batman” games, we’re not including him because he originates from comics, not video games.

#10: Kinky Pinky

“NARC” (1988) Yes, that really is his name, and his character is wrong on so many levels. Kinky Pinky is one of the key members of the K.R.A.K. organization, in charge of maintaining their pornography distribution. (Never thought a sentence like that would ever exist…) What’s even more terrifying about him is that he abducts women, which implies the pornography he’s selling may be of his victims. On the surface, he’s just some weirdo with a knife and clown makeup. Dig a little deeper, and the story clearly gets more disturbing. Welcome to the 80’s, kids!

#9: Bonker

“Clayfighter” series (1993-98) Considering he’s from the “Clayfighter” series, Bonker is just as insane as the rest of the cast. This is a guy who acts crazy and annoys people just for kicks, and it shows when he's fighting the likes of Bad Mr. Frosty and Sumo Santa. While his later appearances would portray him as a typical clown, his first appearance was actually pretty scary, as if someone had decided to put Pennywise’s cousin in a fighting game. Just look at that creepy smile and devilish hairdo! Hmmm, maybe he’s part of the reason why “Clayfighter” isn’t around anymore…

#8: Arkham the Jester

“Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening” (2005) Well, hello, Mr. Tall, Dark, and Creepy! We've met plenty of characters who were ambitious and mad with power, and Arkham is so power-crazy, it's scary. Wishing to become ruler of the demon world, Arkham has sacrificed almost everything in his life to achieve that dream, including murdering the woman he loved. Mr. Arkham, sir, we're sure harnessing the power of Hell sounds great and all, but look at what its cost you! You killed your love only to scar up your face. In the end, was all of this really worth it? At least this demented dude can't hurt anyone anymore. Thank you, Dante and Virgil!

#7: The Clown

“Dead by Daylight” (2016) Like every other killer in “Dead by Daylight”, this dude’s got one hell of a backstory! Kenneth “Jeffrey Hawk” Chase lived a troubled youth. His mother died from giving birth to him, his father was an alcoholic, and he trap small animals only to kill them later. Chase would eventually retreat into the circus life, where he would use his disguise and a handful of anaesthetics to kidnap his victims. As the Clown, he now tortures his victims, cutting their fingers off to add to his collection. *shudders* Sounds like the plot of a torture porn movie…

#6: Clown Infected

“Left 4 Dead 2” (2009) Clowns and zombies - one of the worst possible combinations of frightening monstrosities… As if the Infected wasn’t scary enough, the Dark Carnival campaign got to have these creepy honkers. While they don’t do much in combat (aside from typical clawing and punching), they can easily make us act like a deer in headlights with just how gross they look. On the plus side, shoving them will cause their noses to honk. So, maybe a good chuckle will help us snap out of our fear. Wait… They can appear in waves? Nope! Goodbye, Left 4 Dead 2! Nice knowing ya!

#5: Shaco the Demon Jester

“League of Legends” (2009) Some of us here at WatchMojo are “League of Legends” fans, but when we see Shaco the Demon Jester on the battlefield, our cursors begin hovering over the disconnect button. This dude is all about big knives and flanking. Great, we’re already getting goosebumps! He can also spawn decoys of himself and deploy a Jack in the Box to quickly take out turrets. Come on, man! Your wicked smile and dual knives already give us chills. Why does everything have to have a creepy grin or instill more fear in us? Ban it! Ban him!

#4: Beppi the Clown

“Cuphead” (2017) The colorful bosses of “Cuphead” can get absolutely frightening, and Beppi the Clown is no exception. With his battle appropriately taking place in a carnival, Beppi will attempt to run over you with his bumper cars and roller coasters. However, Beppi holds some shapeshifting abilities, allowing him to transform into a creepy balloon and a carousel of nightmares. Yeah, he isn’t as scary as the other clowns (being a cartoon and all), but his wild personality and actions warrant a spot for him. Plus, the goofy laugh is somewhat entertaining to hear.

#3: Adam MacIntyre

“Dead Rising” (2006) At first glance, Adam MacIntyre seems like nothing more than an insane dude wearing the creepiest clown makeup we’ve seen. Then, he you notice he’s wielding dual chainsaws, and you’re like, “That’s enough video games for tonight.” MacIntyre is, perhaps, the most terrifying part of “Dead Rising”. If his stereotypical clown voice didn’t creep us out enough, the maniacal laughter sure did. Even after defeating him, we can still hear his haunting cackles in our heads. We’re just glad we won’t be running into him in future titles.

#2: Needles Kane

“Twisted Metal” (1995-2012) He’s arguably the most iconic clown in video games...and one of the most demented. Needles Kane used to live as a simple ice cream man, but he’s often described having wild urges inside him (i.e. murdering people for the hell of it). Much like the games he’s appeared in, Needles gets over-the-top with his kills, and that’s putting it gently. Would you rather get chopped up by his wicked machete, or obliterated by his Transformer of an ice cream truck? Either way, you’ll be screaming and he’ll be laughing. At least you’d be killed by the man who has dared challenge the God of War!

#1: Kefka Palazzo

“Final Fantasy” series (1994) It was a close call between Needles Kane and Kefka Palazzo, but in the end, the “Final Fantasy” villain came out on top. Like the other clowns on this list, he’s absolutely sadistic, murdering whoever he likes with a smile on his face. You could say he is the Joker of video games. However, what distinguishes Kefka from the other clowns is that he’s so psychotic to the point where he’s destroyed the ENTIRE F***ING WORLD!! If this doesn’t justify somebody’s fear of clowns, we don’t know what does!
