Top 10 Sexiest Female Singers: Modern Edition

Kicking off our list is one fierce, fit, and fiery female. Her hot tomboy persona, fighting skills and ability to ride motocross prove that Pink is not “Most Girls.” She has a more muscular body than most dudes, but she can still be a lady when she wants.

Tough to pick Gwen’s prime: she’s looked exactly the same for almost twenty years. As much as we love the belly shirts and the ska, we think her solo career held her hottest days – that’s when she blew our minds with her army of Harajuku girls and her sexy, skintight style. And, of course, she made it clear that she ain’t no “Hollaback Girl.”

She’s known more for her voice than her look – but that doesn’t mean this blonde bombshell wasn’t a knockout in her heyday. Xtina didn’t bother with that innocent crap and went straight for sex appeal: come on, you didn’t watch the “Dirrty” video with your parents in the room. But, she lost us when she dyed her hair brown. Though the threeway with Britney and Madonna was hot.

How can you not put the head Pussycat Doll on this list? This band was created to sell lingerie, right? PCD brought sexy dance moves and skimpy outfits to a whole new level, and Scherzy was smokin’ hot enough to pull it all off. Good luck suggesting the clothing ideas to your girlfriend though. “Don’t Cha” just wish…?

We’re not sure when J-Lo stopped being a Fly Girl and started being Jenny from the block, but who cares? These dance moves kept us up nights, even though we never believed that her “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” We still remember the headlines about her boyfriends and her outfits – we miss the outfits. But best of all, J-Lo also brought booty back in style, and for that, we thank her.

What can we say? She’s “Bootylicious.” Beyoncé made us ignore the rest of Destiny’s Child, and once she went solo, we were hooked. She’s Girl Power for the new millennium, and all that confidence is just sexy. Plus, there’s the hair, the face, the dance moves and the bod. Oh, and she can actually sing. We would put a ring on that… Damn you, Jay-Z.

If this is a “Good Girl Gone Bad,” we’d like to see more. Rihanna was gorgeous to start, but somehow an “Umbrella” and a haircut helped up that. Her fearless approach to fashion means she is half-naked all the time, and she is the “Only Girl (In the World)” we’d try “S&M” for…maybe…

She’s every little boy’s “Teenage Dream.” And yes, we do mean it that way. She plays up the adorable cutesy image, but we figure “Waking Up in Vegas” next to Katy Perry would still be full of “Fireworks.” Katy: do whatever you want with the hair; just keep wearing low-cut tops. And if you kissed a girl, we’d like to see the pictures…

Let’s start by saying: that schoolgirl thing WORKED. Every guy on the planet was into Britney circa “…Baby One More Time,” and the red bodysuit didn’t hurt either. The “Slave” video made us realize she was not a girl and was definitely a woman – at least, that’s what we told ourselves. Madonna, of course, eventually passed the torch, as it were, although Britney technically let it go out.

Taking the top spot on our list is the Colombian “She Wolf.” Shakira belly danced her way into the hearts and wet dreams of North Americans in 2001, and since then she’s proven she’s “The One.” Animal sexuality lies just “Underneath [Her] Clothes,” even when she’s trapped in a cage. We’ll follow her “Whenever, Wherever,” but no: we will not make a “Hips Don’t Lie” pun.
