#10: Not-So-Angelic Angie
“Lap Dancing” (1995)

This ‘90s drama follows an aspiring actress who’s down-on-her luck when it comes to booking roles. Typical story for those who come to L.A. seeking fame and fortune, right? Lucky for us, Angie has a roommate who works at a gentleman’s club - and said roommate is able to persuade the discouraged youth that getting a job at the club will inspire her. Though the acting is nothing to write home about, the movie does – as the title suggests – feature quite a bit of lap dancing AND it’s not too bad to boot. Yep, Larissa McComas definitely knows how to pour it on!

#9: Tokyo Rose
“Butter” (2011)

As the reigning 15-year champ of the Iowa State Fair’s butter sculpture contest, Bob Pickler is known to be good with his hands. So when he finds himself on the sidelines due to his winning ways, he latches onto Olivia Wilde’s Tokyo Rose, who tries desperately to convince Bob that he should fork over a little more than just a few one-dollar bills. But before all that, there’s this: a lap dance that is part sexy and part over-the-top. And considering the unassuming manner of Ty Burrell’s character, the stark contrast provides for a most interesting and undeniably sexy display.

#8: Paparazzo Peeper
“Femme Fatale” (2002)

In this flop of a flick, Rebecca Romjin plays dual roles, starring as a missing French woman and a mercenary dame. But given the title of the movie and this saucy basement dance, you can probably guess where the focus lies. Once Antonio Banderas’ paparazzo stumbles onto the scene, a quarter has already been inserted into the jukebox, and it soon becomes evident what everyone is in for. As the femme fatale works her magic, the men in the audience are stunned by her moves, but that doesn’t mean everybody makes it out alive.

#7: Blow Off Some Steam
“30 Minutes or Less” (2011)

It’s typically never a good idea to throw the word ‘inheritance” around at a strip club - unless you want to get robbed blind, that is. But if all you want is one hell of a lap dance, then it can get you places. In this scenario, Danny McBride’s character is a patron who seems more interested in blowing off steam that anything else, which he is able to do with the gorgeous Juicy. And with a slow, 360 degree pan shot, her sensual prowess is revealed in its full glory. She’s obviously got a lot of tricks and knows how to make even the most irritated of customers settle down, and it’s not long before she’s got McBride, and the audience, wrapped around her finger.

#6: Private Booth
“Showgirls” (1995)

While Elizabeth Berkley and Kyle MacLachlan do share an intimate, if not exactly romantic, moment together in a swimming pool, the initial meeting between Berkley’s Nomi Malone and Zack Carey was equally potent, albeit also more intense and aggressive. As an entertainment director on the hunt for a particular kind of talent, Mr. Carey requests a lap dance from the troubled woman, who doesn’t hold back when demonstrating her flexibility and impressive agility. She obviously nails it, and it becomes the first step on her road to becoming a true showgirl of the highest order.

#5: Not Her First Rodeo
“The Wrestler” (2008)

For a film about an aging athlete who’s past his prime, it takes a strong woman of roughly the same age to balance everything out - at least when it comes to the mental framework of Randy “The Ram” Robinson. With actors Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei as the focus of this back room scene, the female guides the action, so to speak, as she proves that age ain’t nothing but a number. Meanwhile her patron contemplates the past, seemingly not in touch with the present… and what a beautiful present it is.

#4: Lady in Red
“Cradle 2 the Grave” (2003)

Back in the day when American rapper DMX still starred in action films, he shared the screen with the gorgeous Gabrielle Union while they played a pair of jewel thieves. However, once a set of diamonds changes hands and winds up in a nightclub, Daria must rely on her natural assets to assist in the unexpected transaction to get the rocks back. With a heavy yet equally fitting musical backdrop, the woman in red strips down oh so passionately and provocatively, with more money shots than you can count. Now that’s a red-hot lap dance.

#3: Naughty Time
“Domino” (2005)

Based on the life of the late bounty hunter Domino Harvey, who was the daughter of actor Laurence Harvey, Tony Scott’s 2005 film has the titular character explaining the essence of her craft and how sometimes “a girl has to be naughty in order to get herself out of a jam.” And when she needs to take down a dangerous criminal, there was no shame or fear in conducting a public lap dance in a room full of gun-toting scumbags. Portrayed by the exquisite Keira Knightley, Domino struts her stuff, showing that whether it’s with a gun or her posterior – everyone ends up floored.

#2: Assassin
“Naked Weapon” (2002)

In Tony Ching’s Hong Kong thriller, Maggie Q’s character doesn’t quite choose to become an assassin but after completing a grueling six years of training, her body was in prime condition to both kill and seduce. These skills are shown in tandem when the only way to reach her target requires her to rock his world with a hypnotic lap dance. With an almost angelic allure, it’s hard not to be drawn in by her gaze. This of course proves to be a fatal mistake when her touch can either excite the senses or rip a bone out of place with ease.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
Get a Rise
“Loaded” (2008)
All Business
“Exotica” (1994)

#1: Grindhouse
“Death Proof” (2007)

Taking on the director, producer and writer hats for this action exploitation horror flick, Quentin Tarantino managed to craft the definitive sexy lapdance! How? By enlisting the help of Ms. Vanessa Ferlito, who gives Kurt Russell’s disturbed stuntman the sensual equivalent of a bombshell. Every thrust, shake and movement is perfectly timed to the amazing soundtrack that flawlessly captures her raw sex appeal, while showing that the dancer has all the power, and everyone watching is just putty in her hands. Though let’s be honest, you probably couldn’t keep your eyes off her hips the entire time, right?
