Top 10 Strongest Demon Transformations in Anime

#10: Sebastian’s True Form
“Black Butler” (2008-14)
He’s one hell of a butler, and will complete any task to perfection. And that includes ripping angels to pieces. With London set ablaze, Sebastian decides that now would be a really good time to finally kill off the wicked angel Ash before he can do any more damage. Instructing his master Ciel to close his eyes, we’re not exactly privy to see what the demon butler really looks like, but two things are clear. He can decimate practically anything within ten seconds, and he really knows how to rock those heels.
#9: Romantistia Ameri
“Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun” (2019-)
While her infatuation with Iruma often painted her as adorable and the undisputed best girl, Ameri is still very much a demon, and one who knows how to bring the thunder with those axe kicks of hers. After magical beasts are set loose through a theme park, Ameri steps up to the plate and takes one all by herself. It’s there she reveals her bloodline ability of Romantista; a power that allows her to become stronger so long as she believes herself to be. That’s got some crazy OP potential right there.
#8: Full Demon Sadao
“The Devil is a Part-Timer” (2013)
Just because he’s now a shift manager at a fast-food restaurant doesn’t make the prince of darkness any less dangerous. Fuelled by the negative emotions of humans, Sadao is still able to tap into his original form, allowing him to bulk out immensely as well as bust out the telekinesis when needed. While it doesn’t last for very long, his horned-up, chad-state has certainly proven itself to be strong enough to smite everything from traitor demons to annoying angels. The only thing it seemingly can’t do is understand the concept of human women.
#7: Devilman
“Devilman Crybaby” (2018)
Akira’s transition from nice guy to demonic hybrid has been captured in animation numerous times over the years, but none summarised his savagery quite like Masaki Yuasa’s take on the character. After demons turn a raid into a bloodbath, Akira unknowingly merges with the spirit of Amon, and consequently is transformed into the scariest hellspawn you’ve ever seen. He then proceeds to show the invading demon hordes that he is most certainly not on their side…by splattering them all over the room.
#6: Naraku
“Inuyasha” (2000-10)
You have to hand it to the spider, rarely does a shonen villain use their final form purely as a kamikaze attack. After merging with the Shikon Jewel, Naraku’s body is bolstered to an immense size, capable of crashing down like a meteor and crushing everything underneath. The only thing deadlier than its bulk was the miasma that it produces; a demonic wave of gas that corrupts and kills anything it touches. If not for both demon dog brothers and their legendary weapons, Naraku’s ace in the hole might have decimated everything.
#5: Black Asta
“Black Clover” (2017-)
Who didn’t get chills when this no magic user finally let the devil out of the bag? While the source of this inner darkness was still very much a mystery back in the day, the results were nonetheless spectacular to behold. Pushed to his very limit by Ladros of the Diamond Kingdom, Asta’s devil half is unleashed, allowing him to take to the skies and cleave through whatever magic was sent his way. And as we all know, this dark side has only grown stronger with use, to the point where actual devils can’t handle Asta’s brand of anti-magic!
#4: Yusuke’s Demon Form
“Yu Yu Hakusho” (1992-94)
Sometimes you’ve just got to buck up and ask your demonic daddy for help. Outgunned and outmatched by the former Spirit Detective Sensui, Yusuke was pretty much left for dead. At least until his ancestral father Razan decided now would be a great time to awaken himself and take his kid’s body for a test drive. Resurrected and imbued with the strength of the most powerful demon in all of Makai, Yusuke’s second coming proved to be so next level that he beat Sensui around like a ragdoll on his first try!
#3: Meliodas Assault Mode
“Seven Deadly Sins” (2014-)
On any given day, the Dragon’s Sin of Wrath can usually end a battle with his superior strength and ability to counter all magic. Of course, this only applies to the Meliodas who has forsaken his demonic roots and lives a chill life. Turns out, back in his evil phase, he was rocking a kill switch that few could overcome. Coated in darkness, the Assault Mode radically enhances his base stats, to the extent that even the Ten Commandments live in fear of it being activated due to its wide-spread destructiveness.
#2: Femto
“Berserk” (1997-98)
We may not have seen any catastrophic examples of what this form can do, but purely by the fact that the once noble leader of the Band of the Hawk became a member of the God Hand, it’s fair to say his strength is beyond comprehension. Sacrificing all of his comrades to achieve power, Griffith’s new state of being transcends mortality.; a pseudo-God that can seemingly erase whatever he sets his sights on. Though what might be most haunting about his transformation is just how willing he was to brutalise those he once cherished the most.
#1: Demon Lord Rimuru
“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” (2018-)
Just when you thought this slime had finally capped his power level, along comes this final evolution. Willing to do whatever it takes to resurrect his slain friends, Rimuru goes all out to meet the requirements for making the jump to Demon Lord. And what’s the result? Slime Jesus, basically. Not only do all of his abilities reach their ultimate state of being, but right out of the gate Rimuru was able to bring back the souls of all that were lost. Pretty hard to top that!
