"Wednesday" will return to Netflix. For this list, we'll be looking at the unanswered questions from the show's inaugural season, along with who and what we want them to explore in season 2. Our countdown includes the rise of Were-Enid, the mysterious Vincent Thorpe, Wednesday's raven powers, and more!

#10: Wednesday Bonds with Her Kooky Family

Top 10 Things You Missed in Wednesday

The supernatural comedy-horror series started out with typical teenage tension between Wednesday and her parents, especially between mother and daughter. Wednesday needed to get out of her mother’s shadow and Morticia needed to let her daughter become her own person. The season ended with everyone on good terms, meaning we could get more time with the fam next season. Could Pugsley attend Nevermore? Maybe Morticia could fill the vacancy left by Ms. Thornhill as professor of botanical sciences, or Gomez could teach fencing. We’d also like to see more of Uncle Fester and Thing, along with the introduction of Grandmama and Cousin Itt. Yes, it is Wednesday’s show and it’s about time she had the spotlight. But we still hope for an Addams Family reunion.

#9: The Rise of Were-Enid

When we’re introduced to Wednesday’s bubbly roomie Enid Sinclair, she’s struggling with transforming into a werewolf. She can manage the claws but when it comes to fully wolfing out, she’s a late bloomer. Her mother even wants to send her to camp to move the process along. But Enid stands her ground and accepts that it’ll happen in time. It’s quite a surprise when she transforms just in time to save Wednesday from Tyler in his murderous Hyde form. The beautiful multicolored lycanthrope goes head-to-head with the monster, which is quite the feat for a newly transformed werewolf. We’re anxious to see more of Enid doing Enid, growing into her ability, and wolfing out on the reg.

#8: More of Nevermore’s Supernatural Students

Supernatural: 10 Things We Need to See Before It Ends

In Season 1, Wednesday learns about the supernaturally gifted cliques at Nevermore — vampires, werewolves, gorgons, and sirens, better known as Fangs, Furs, Stoners, and Scales. We spend time with the werewolves and sirens and learn a little bit about gorgons, shape-shifters, hydes, and different types of psychics. But there’s not much vamp action. Yoko Tanaka is a member of the Nightshade Society, yet we don’t get to know her. And what about the outcasts on the fringes of the core cliques, like the Faceless students? Could there be any fairies, banshees, elves, or witches? We also want to see more of Nevermore Academy itself. There must be some really cool classes other than fencing and botanical sciences. The possibilities are endless.

#7: The Mysterious Vincent Thorpe

Wednesday Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Nevermore’s resident tortured artist went through a lot in season 1 — repeatedly rejected by his crush, attacked by his own paintings, and wrongfully accused of murder. He was also almost hit with an arrow but Wednesday takes the hit instead. Xavier’s famous father Vincent Thorpe was mentioned a few times throughout the season but we never saw him. And with Xavier knowing Wednesday from childhood, Vincent likely knows Morticia and Gomez. From what we know, he’s distant and cares more about his celebrity image than his son’s well-being. He didn’t show up to Parents Weekend or when Xavier was temporarily jailed. The break from school would be the perfect time to explore the strained relationship between father and son.

#6: Bianca & the Morning Song Cult

Also in:

Top 3 Things You Missed in Season 8 Episode 6 of Game of Thrones

From the beginning, the powerful siren Bianca Barclay is positioned as Wednesday’s rival. But throughout the series we see that deep down she’s a good person. When we meet her mother Gabrielle in Episode 5, we learn that Bianca’s birth name is Brandy Jane and she escaped Morning Song, a cult led by her new stepfather named Gideon. Gabrielle uses her siren song to manipulate people into joining and handing over their money. But her powers are weakened. By the end of the episode, she’s blackmailed her daughter into returning home. Given society’s fascination with cults, Morning Song could play a large part in Season 2, possibly infiltrating Jericho and the normies.

#5: The (Likely) Return of Tyler “Hyde” Galpin

Also in:

10 Things We Need to See in You Season 4 Part 2

At the center of season 1’s big murder mystery was Jericho resident Tyler Galpin. At first, he’s the charming normie smitten with the weird girl. But it’s later revealed that he’s the killer Hyde being controlled by Ms. Thornhill who’s actually Laurel Gates. The last scene of the finale shows a restrained Tyler waking up and turning into his Hyde form, suggesting this isn’t the last we’ve seen of the barista/serial killer. Will he still be a villain, or will the absence of Laurel’s control change him? What if Wednesday visits him in prison, or wherever he ends up and asks him for help on the new mystery a la Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter? Now that’s something we’d like to see.

#4: Nevermore’s New Principal

Nevermore Academy’s fierce leader Principal Larissa Weems met a surprising end in the season finale. She seemingly dies after Laurel injects her with deadly nightshade, leaving the school with no choice but to close for the semester. Who will fill the shapeshifter’s shoes? As mentioned before, Weems’ old roommate Morticia Addams would be a great choice. We don’t really know much about the Nevermore professors, so it’s possible an unseen staff member could get a promotion. Or even another character we haven’t seen, like Vincent Thorpe. Then again, this is a world with specters, zombie pilgrims, and several supernatural beings. Maybe Weems could make a return.

#3: Wednesday’s Raven Powers

Top 10 Savage Wednesday Comebacks

Jenna Ortega’s iteration of Wednesday Addams comes with psychic visions she struggles to control. She reluctantly seeks her mother’s guidance on her burgeoning abilities and learns that not only are they hereditary in the Addams bloodline, but there are different types. Morticia, despite her gothic glamor, has a sunnier disposition that gives her more positive visions, making her a Dove. Wednesday, however, is a Raven, given her darker outlook on the world, resulting in intense visions. She’s mastered fencing, cello, and archery, along with foreign languages and martial arts. We can’t wait to see her fully embrace her power and hone this supernatural skill.

#2: Wednesday & Enid’s Friendship

Top 10 Behind the Scenes Facts About Netflix's Wednesday

Attending Nevermore Academy helped the notoriously detached Wednesday Addams go outside her comfort zone. She formed a sibling-like bond with Eugene and ended up in a love triangle. But the most important relationship was the one she had with Enid. The two are an unlikely pair, and even though Wednesday resisted Enid’s friendliness, they eventually become besties, shocking everyone with their season finale embrace. We all want to see their relationship continue to thrive and “Wenclair” shippers hope to see a more romantic connection in the second season. Whether they’re girlfriends or girl friends, Wednesday and Enid make the perfect duo. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. Wednesday & Xavier’s Relationship Could These Two Have a Chance Now That the Hyde Business Is Over? #1: Wednesday’s First Stalker

How Jenna Ortega Prepared to Play Wednesday

The season finale left us with tons of questions. Even Wednesday is still trying to put all the pieces together. But the major cliffhanger came in the last scene when she receives an anonymous text from someone creeping on her. Xavier and Tyler have pretty strong alibis, but it must be a Nevermore student or faculty member we haven’t met yet - the new principal perhaps? But we also don’t know where Laurel Gates ended up after the Crackstone showdown. The list of suspects goes on and on. Could it be the mastermind pulling the strings? How long until they escalate from text messages to something deadly? Wednesday’s right. The suspense is killing us!
