On May 19th 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged vows in a lavish royal wedding watched by hundreds of millions around the world. But years before the two even officially met, Harry already had his sights set on his eventual bride. Like many of us, the Prince first took notice of Markle while she was starring on the hit legal series “Suits.” According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, Harry confided in a friend during that time, expressing that his ideal girl would be “Meghan Markle from Suits.” It would take two years for the pair to first meet in 2016, while Markle was in London for Wimbledon, and two more years for Harry’s wishes to finally come true.

Ariana Grande Impressions VS the Actual Person

The unexpected romance between pop star Ariana Grande and comedian Pete Davidson caught many off guard. Both seemed to come from completely different worlds, but fate brought them together on the “Saturday Night Live” stage. The two first met in September 2014 when Grande performed on the same night Davidson debuted as a cast member. However, it wasn’t until Grande returned to “SNL” two years later that they publicly interacted for the first time. Following this interaction, Grande developed an instant crush on Davidson and reportedly told her tour manager that she was going to marry him. While their relationship did materialize in 2018, culminating in a swift engagement, it was short-lived, and the couple parted ways after a few months.

#8: Nick Cannon

One of Hollywood’s biggest power couples actually started as a little crush. For years, Nick Cannon harbored a deep admiration for Mariah Carey and told just about anyone willing to listen. Carey eventually caught wind of the “nice things” Cannon had been saying about her and asked him about it when they first met backstage at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards. Encouraged by her interest, Cannon doubled down on his affirmations. Three years later, he not only starred in, but also co-directed Carey’s music video for “Bye Bye.” It was during the filming of this video that their relationship blossomed and the two got married soon after. Sadly, their union lasted only six years before Cannon filed for divorce.

#7: Joe Manganiello

Hollywood actors Joe Manganiello and Sofía Vergara first crossed paths at the White House Correspondents’ dinner in May 2014. At the time, Vergara was engaged to someone else, but that didn’t stop Manganiello from becoming instantly captivated by her. Just two months later, during an interview with People Magazine, he openly expressed his admiration, describing her as his ideal woman. Fortunately, Vergara called off her engagement shortly after, presenting an opportunity that Manganiello jumped on. He got her number from her “Modern Family” co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and the two subsequently began dating. By the end of 2014, they were already engaged, and the following year, they tied the knot. However, their marriage ultimately ended in divorce in February 2024.

#6: Victoria Beckham

The Untold Story of Victoria Monét

She was a member of one of the biggest pop groups in the world and had her eyes on one of the most sought-after football players. Despite growing up in the same part of London, David and Victoria Beckham never crossed paths until they became international superstars. But it seems she might have had a crush on him even before then. Their first encounter in 1997 seemingly confirmed her feelings, and she instantly knew he was the one. Beckham’s dreams of being with David quickly manifested into reality as they began dating shortly after, culminating in a lavish wedding two years later. More than two decades and four children later, the Beckhams are still going strong.

#5: Travis Kelce

Perhaps the most sensational celebrity romance so far this decade has been that between NFL player Travis Kelce and music superstar Taylor Swift. The couple officially began dating in late 2023, attracting widespread media coverage and significantly boosting NFL viewership. But Kelce seemed to have had Swift on his mind for quite a while. Amid rumors of their relationship, a video from 2016 resurfaced showing Kelce playing “Kiss, Marry, Kill” with Swift as one of the options. The NFL star ultimately decided to kiss Swift, unaware that this hypothetical scenario would materialize into reality years later. Even more, he reportedly nursed a crush on her for months, making attempts to get her attention before their eventual romance blossomed.

After months of swirling rumors, the relationship between actors Tom Holland and Zendaya was eventually confirmed in November 2021. The two reportedly first met on the set of the 2017 Marvel film “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” But Holland was apparently already familiar with his co-star. Although he later clarified that he was only joking and that his first crush was actually Jennifer Aniston, we’re inclined to believe that he may just have been trying to save face. Holland would go on to confirm, in a Buzzfeed interview years later, that it was indeed Zendaya. Regardless, he managed to turn his co-star from a mere crush into a real-life love.

#3: Jodie Turner-Smith

It’s quite common to have a celebrity crush while growing up. Actress Jodie Turner-Smith was no exception, finding herself drawn to the character Pacey Witter from the popular teen drama “Dawson’s Creek.” Interestingly, Pacey Witter was played by Canadian actor Joshua Jackson, whom Turner-Smith ended up dating, marrying and starting a family with. The actress shared this revelation in an interview with W Magazine, after a career-making year in 2019, stating that she was a very young teenager when she first developed the crush. Despite their adorable connection, things sadly didn’t work out between the couple, as they parted ways in October 2023, after Turner-Smith filed for divorce.

#2: Machine Gun Kelly & Megan Fox

When one person manifests a relationship, it’s understandable, but when both partners materialize their wishful connection with each other, it can feel a bit spooky. That turned out to be the case with rapper Machine Gun Kelly and actress Megan Fox. Known for their sometimes bizarre behavior, the couple appears to both have spoken their relationship into existence. In an interview with GQ, Kelly revealed that he had a poster of Fox hanging in his teenage bedroom and reportedly told his friends he would marry her someday. Fox, on the other hand, claims to have visualized a partner matching Kelly’s exact physical attributes since she was four. Oddly enough, they crossed paths in 2020 and have been together ever since.

Top 10 Moments That Made Us Love Jason Momoa

Hollywood actor Jason Momoa was just eight years old when he first watched Lisa Bonet on “The Cosby Show” and instantly knew that he wanted to marry her. He harbored that crush for nearly two decades until he met her in person at a Los Angeles jazz club in 2005. While it might have seemed like an elaborate and absurd plan, Momoa’s efforts to stalk Bonet and win her affection eventually paid off. The two officially began dating that same year and got married in October 2017. Although their union, which produced two children, has since ended, you can’t help but applaud Momoa’s unwavering perseverance. Have you ever manifested a relationship in your life?
