With a few coy glances and many lustful gazes, she managed to work her way into his dreams, which is no easy feat for a king who’s used to getting any woman he wants at the drop of a dime. But the trick is to work her way into his bed. The seduction of this king is a persistent simmer, and it’s strong enough to make him do whatever it takes to leave his wife.

“Gossip Girl” (2007-12)

Privileged kids are pretty much used to getting whatever they want. And being a beautiful, manipulative rich girl basically means that the world is your oyster, right? Wrong. Well, at least for Blair. After initially getting rejected by the guy she won’t admit she’s in love with, she decides she needs to pull out the big guns to win him over. And she’s got some heavy artillery.

“Sex and the City” (1998-2004)

The on-again, off-again nature of Big and Carrie’s relationship throughout the series made for some pretty dramatic moments. So when Big gets married following their latest breakup, it throws Carrie for a loop – one that she has to navigate while dealing with her own relationship with the seemingly perfect Aidan. To make matters worse, or better, Big admits to Carrie that he’s unhappy in his marriage and later shows up at her hotel, which culminates in a passionate elevator scene and kicks off their affair.

#7: Buffy Summers & Spike
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (1997-2003)

For someone tasked with killing vampires, Buffy sure does seem to have a thing for them. When Spike, Buffy’s bleach-blond nemesis-turned-ally, discovers that the chip in his head that was meant to keep him from harming humans doesn’t apply to Buffy, all bets are off. The two engage in a serious battle that takes them to an abandoned building. But, their blows suddenly turn into fiercely wild lovemaking, as they finally give in to desire.

#6: Don Draper & Suzanne Farrell
“Mad Men” (2007-15)

Don Draper would appear to have it all: a beautiful wife, loving children, and a top position at a New York ad agency. But he’s searching for something, oftentimes in the arms of other women. Even his daughter’s former teacher isn’t immune to his charms. When he shows up at her door unannounced, it’s only a matter of moments before smooth-talking Don ends up having his own steamy parent-teacher conference. Scenes like this, between various characters, like the earlier one between Peggy and Pete, are just one of the show’s biggest draws.

#5: Eden Lord & Sean McNamara
“Nip/Tuck” (2003-10)

It may seem like the fantasy of every adult man in the midst of a midlife crisis: a teenage temptress with daddy issues dressed in a schoolgirl outfit making overt sexual advances! To amp the not-so-subtle seduction attempt up a notch, this bombshell-in-training wants her hymen reconstructed following a particularly bumpy horsey ride. Far from demure, it’s all she can do to keep herself from tackling Dr. McNamara in his office.

#4: Maddie Hayes & David Addison
“Moonlighting” (1985-89)

The sexual tension between the show’s two stars is what drove this series to popularity, so it was just a matter of time before they took things to the next level. But by season 3, things get particularly complicated, as Maddie’s boyfriend proposes to her then gets into a knockdown drag-out fight with her partner, David. She returns home to find David in her bed, leading to an argument that winds up back in the bed where they finally give in to their urges.

#3: Sydney Bristow & Gils Nacor
“Alias” (2001-06)

Being a spy put Sydney Bristow in a number of compromising positions. Most of those positions, however, didn’t include having to perform a strip tease for a dude busy eating a meal. Her titillating performance actually opens the episode, with her sauntering through an airplane in one skimpy black lingerie ensemble followed by a red number. We’re guessing the preoccupied gentleman who barely gives her a second glance was either incredibly difficult to please or he was having an amazing supper.

#2: Sarah Newlin & Jason Stackhouse
“True Blood” (2008-14)

For a series so replete with sex, nudity and raunchy fun, you’d think it’d be difficult to pinpoint a particularly seductive moment. But when Jason Stackhouse settles in for a bath after a long day of anti-vampire training, he’s treated to a…reward, of sorts. He’s joined a group of vampire-hating activists and their leader’s wife is more than a little curious about all he has to offer. And, despite some initial resistance, the sex-crazed Jason we all know and love eventually caves in to the sinful temptations of the forbidden fruit.
