Top 20 Hottest GOT and HOTD Women

Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the most alluring or attractive women in “Game of Thrones” and “House of the Dragon.” While Sansa Stark[a] is undoubtedly one stunning Westerosi lady, since she was too young at the start of the series, we’ll be excluding her. Beware of Spoilers!

#20: Catelyn Stark[b]

Lord Eddard Stark’s wife may not have been a conventional beauty but her strong character, intelligence, and sharp judgment made her a formidable force. After losing her husband to the treachery of the Lannisters, she fiercely protects her children, preparing her eldest son to lead the Northern men. A skilled negotiator, she knows how to get things done. Let’s not forget she’s the one who brokered the deal with Walder Frey for their army to cross the Twins. What’s hotter than that? Once deemed one of the most beautiful women in Westeros, Catelyn’s ginger hair and smoking-hot voice remain striking, even in old age. We absolutely understand why Littlefinger was obsessed with her.

#19: Gilly[c]

When we first met Gilly at Craster’s Keep, she was dirty and rough-looking like the other daughter-wives of Craster. Beneath that exterior, there’s so much to admire in this brave woman who wants a better life for herself and her son. Her beauty might be underrated - probably because she’s been through so much as the daughter of a savage father. Like Sam, though, we can’t help but fall for her charm. She has that sweet, innocent look that makes you want to throw on a cloak, abandon the Night's Watch, and start a new life with her. And when she was all cleaned up at Horn Hill? We finally saw the diamond hidden in the rough!

#18: Talisa Stark[d]

It’s true that real beauty is on the inside, but it doesn’t hurt when the outside looks this good! A foreigner to Westeros, Talisa Stark, born Maegyr, came from Volantis and volunteered to treat wounded from both sides in the midst of the War of Five Kings. And it was during this time that she met her future husband, Robb Stark. Thanks to her beauty, skills, and more, she makes the King in the North betray his vows to Walder Frey’s daughter Roslin and marries her. Can you blame him?

#17: Laena Velaryon[e]

Daughter of Corlys Velaryon and Rhaenys Targaryen, this fiery woman is the perfect blend of adventure and Targaryen beauty. To make her even cooler, she’s the rider of the mighty Vhagar and may very well be one of the boldest women in Westeros. With silver curls cascading down her waist, her noble poise, and those fitting dresses, Laena had us hooked in every scene. We certainly can’t forget that flirty moment with Daemon at Rhaenyra’s wedding - absolutely sizzling! She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go for it. That’s one thing we find so irresistible about her. Perhaps most admirable of all is how she chose to go out on her own terms.

#16: Myranda[f]

Another one of Sansa’s tormentors, basically the female version of Ramsay Bolton[g], Myranda was introduced in Season 3 and quickly made a name for herself, though not in a good way. As vile as she was, Myranda had this wild, twisted vibe that kept us wanting to see more of her. While it’s impossible to justify her actions, you have to agree that there’s something fascinating about those bow and arrow moments, that cruel glint in her eyes, and that striking face. If only we could fix her!

#15: Shae[h]

In spite of having a rather common profession in Westeros, Shae managed to stand out from the crowd with her looks and instantly grabbed Tyrion Lannister’s attention. She also grabbed ours with her sultriness and fiery accent. After that, it was her attitude and strength that kept us hooked, and we stayed that way right up until her betrayal. In her final moments, our hearts were as broken as Tyrion’s. We admit: it was really hard not to get all choked up...

#14: Baela Targaryen[i]

Courageous, fierce, and a hot-headed dragonrider, Baela Targaryen is undeniably one of the prettiest women to walk the Seven Kingdoms. As Daemon and Laena’s daughter, she’s clearly inherited her father’s stubborn streak and fiery spirit. Watching her chase Criston Cole atop Moondancer, flashing that mischievous smile is a pure delight that showcases just how badass she is. What else would you expect from the Rogue Prince’s offspring? Isn't it just fitting that she’s named after her grandfather, “Baelon the Brave?” So stunning and so brave, we can’t wait to see more of her and Moondancer in the Targaryen Civil War. For her sake, we’re willing to pledge our allegiance to the Blacks.

#13: Osha[j]

Not a noble lady of Westeros but a wildling, Osha is often overlooked as the great beauty she truly is. Even in rags, with her scattered hair, piercing gaze, sarcastic attitude, and sultry voice, she’s utterly mesmerizing. It’s true when we first met her, she was a dirty, thieving woman who ambushed Bran but she eventually grew on us and earned our respect. As the series went on, she kept proving just how brave and loyal she was - ready to give anything for her loyalty to the Starks. A survivor, toughened by the harsh realities beyond the wall, we always knew that beneath all that mud, a real hottie was there.

#12: Alys Rivers[k]

After Daemon invaded the haunted Harrenhal castle, we meet the mysterious and undeniably intriguing Alys Rivers. We don’t know yet if she’s a witch, a figment of his imagination, or flesh and blood, but one thing’s for sure. She’s got that dark, seductive charm. With her flowing hair, gothic look, and chin-up defiance, she exudes an otherworldly flair, much like the Red Woman. There’s still much to uncover about her. But the book teases a juicy twist: Aemond spares her life after killing everyone at Harrenhal and makes her his lover. This ethereal beauty has a hold on us mortals and we simply can't resist her spell.

#11: Mysaria[l]

Once a pleasure worker and Prince Daemon’s paramour, Mysaria evolved into what seems like a female version of Varys, the whisperer. She’s the champion of the smallfolk, urging the ruling class to care about the people they govern, which only adds to her allure. Also known as White Worm, Mysaria is one strong-willed woman who has risen above her sordid past to become Rhaenyra[m]’s strong ally. Every time we lay our eyes on her, this brilliant woman enchants us with her intricate hairstyles, majestic outfits, gorgeous body, and foreign beauty. Whether as the desirable pleasure worker or spymaster, Mysaria effortlessly holds us captive to her charm.

#10: Ygritte[n]

Jon Snow may have known nothing, but we bet you’re still a bit jealous of his relationship of this wildling beauty. Ygritte melted the ice of the North and our hearts with her fiery red hair and smoky gaze. From her first seconds on screen, she won us over with her ferocity, and she remained one of our favorite characters even when she found herself on the side opposing one of our favorite heroes.

#9: Ros[o]

This gorgeous redhead may have played a small part in “GOT,” but she left a lasting impression for… well, obvious reasons. Known for her seductive profession in King’s Landing, Ros was more than just eye candy - she gave us tantalizing glimpses into characters and events. At first, she seemed like a pawn for Lord Baelish. But then, she eventually grew on us, showing her smartness and skill in navigating King’s Landing. She also grabbed our attention with her breathtaking beauty and those steamy moments, just like she drew the attention of nobles in Winterfell and beyond. It's a shame she had to go the way she did.

#8: Tyene Sand[p]

Who’s the most beautiful woman in the world? Well, Tyene didn’t top our list, but with those knives, we won’t argue with her. One of Oberyn’s daughters and a trained fighter, Tyene won us and Bronn over with her jail cell seduction. Also, is it weird that the knife-welding assassin thing makes her somehow MORE attractive? She’s strong, confident, and deadly. She’s everything you’d want in a woman.

#7: Missandei[q]

Once a slave who was freed by the Mother of Dragons, Missandei is now indebted to Daenerys Targaryen’s cause, acting as her personal handmaiden, advisor, and translator. Missandei has a gentle calmness to her piercing stare, and has us falling in love with her no matter what language she’s speaking. Missandei’s fate is one of the many issues fans had with “Game of Thrones’” final season. At the very least, though, the outrage was a testament to what a beloved character she was.

#6: Rhaenyra Targaryen[r]

Known as the Realm’s Delight and the only living child of King Viserys I Targaryen, Rhaenyra embodies the timeless beauty of the House of Targaryen. Let’s face it - there’s something about that regal look that elevates people. With that silver hair, exquisite dresses, and her commanding presence, Rhaenyra’s beauty leaves us spellbound. Yes, she may be cruel, but that only makes her all the more intriguing, fierce, and enchanting. Regal and radiant, the Black Queen’s ethereal beauty and powerful aura make us eager to bend a knee. Whether miserable, vengeful, or a devoted mother, Rhaenyra’s glow never fades, leaving us breathless at every turn.

#5: Melisandre[s]

Love her or hate her, you can’t deny that the Red Woman’s worth worshiping! A priestess for the Lord of Light, Melisandre has seduced many a Westerosi, both in a mental sense and… ahem, physically. She probably would have ranked higher on this list if she didn’t come off as absolutely frightening half the time. Still, that whole mysterious dark magic thing she’s rocking: super hot!

#4: Margaery Tyrell[t]

Any ideas that this would-be queen was just another pretty face quickly went right out the window once we got to know her better. Margaery was able to play the Game of Thrones better than most, having been married to multiple people who call themselves king. Of course, the first one wasn’t really into her for obvious reasons, the second was a psycho, and the third one’s like fifteen, but we won’t hold that against her. This royal rose owns every scene she’s in with her grace and beauty.

#3: Cersei Lannister[u]

We can’t help it if we find power sexy, because… well, it is! And Cersei Lannister knows it. Let’s face it: there’s something to be said for someone with constant resting-bitch-face but who can make it work for her. On top of that, the Queen Regent of the Seven Kingdoms has the looks to match her unflinching resolve, poise, and cunning. She does not mess around, unless it’s with her blood relatives. Which is weird when you think about it... so we won’t.

#2: Alicent Hightower[v]

Described as the most comely woman in the Seven Kingdoms, the daughter of Otto Hightower is without doubt one of the most striking figures in “HOTD.” Love or hate her, there’s no denying Alicent’s magnetic pull. With her doll-like face, glorious hair, regal demeanor, and slender build, she captured our hearts, even though hers is full of resentment. Yet, she’s more than just a pretty face. She’s graceful yet cunning, compassionate yet ruthless-a flawed underdog. What’s not to admire about her? Her tragic backstory, iconic lines, and ability to survive the dangerous world of court politics make her even more fascinating. She may come across as the show’s true villain but she’s damn hot. There, we said it!

#1: Daenerys Targaryen[w]

It had to be Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, Queen of the Andalls and the First Men, Mother of... you know what? You get the idea. With platinum blonde hair and gentle eyes, we fell for her instantly but learned to really love her as she stepped into her role as a leader and a woman of power. Oh, and did we mention how good-looking she is? Let’s just say, Daenerys has even walked through fire. Hot enough to truly be one with her dragons, she soars above the competition and takes the number one spot on this list… even if she is a heartbreaker in more ways than one.

Which female characters in “HOTD” and “GOT” do you seriously think deserve better than their fate in the shows?
