Top 30 Most Romantic K-Drama Kisses

Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the most mesmerizing on-screen kisses in Korean TV shows that leave us feeling warm and fuzzy inside.
#30: The Snowy Kiss
“Twenty-Five Twenty-One” (2022)
This climactic kiss happens after days of push and pull and is charged with repressed feelings and overwhelming longing. Hee-do has desperate tears running down her cheeks in fear of losing Yi-jin while he plays the part of a responsible adult. Yet, neither can escape the gravity that pulls them together. Rationally, he knows better than to lead her on but the heart wants what it wants. A kiss in the snow. So, despite leaving her stranded for a minute or two, he rushes back, flips the cap hiding her tears, and brings her in for a kiss.
#29: The Kitchen Kiss
“I'm Not a Robot” (2017-18)
The only thing cooking here was a sizzling serving of chemistry. After all, the kitchen is where the magic happens, at least for Min-kyu[a] and Ji-ah. She’s making some gimbap for him, which triggers a wholesome memory and he realizes just how fateful their connection is. The only way to celebrate it, therefore, is to share a kiss. Before she can even take off her kitchen gloves, he pulls her in for a smooch so divine, you won’t be able to stop replaying it. If you think their on-screen chemistry is killer, wait till you see the behind-the-scenes take.
#28: The Puppy Love Kiss
“A Good Day to Be a Dog” (2023-24)
In this show, curses are broken with a true love’s second kiss. Hae-na is doomed to turn into a doggo every night if she ever kisses someone. The only way to reverse the hex is to kiss the same person, but in dog form. When Hae-na[b] accidentally kisses Seo-won, her prickly colleague who has a phobia of dogs, getting a second turn at his lips becomes doubly difficult. Little did Seo-won expect that love would make him willing to peck a pup. When he finally musters up the courage to do so and Hae-na turns human, she humbly requests a thousand more kisses. We get it, girl. The sequence that ensues, complete with push and pull, smiles and blushes, is truly like a fairytale.
#27: The Handcuffed Kiss
“W” (2016)
This K-drama is set in a world, or shall we say, two worlds (see what we did there?) where any moment can be goodbye. You can imagine our male lead’s despair when our female lead tells him I love you but disappears a second later. But lo and behold! She’s back and there’s no way he won’t take this chance to kiss her, even if she is handcuffed. So, he picks her up, brings her up to eye level and she throws her cuffed arms around his neck as they kiss. The best part is the way they smile at each other afterwards.
#26: The Door Kiss
“Coffee Prince” (2007)
Our main couple, Han-gyeol[c] and Eun-chan, go through every possible rom-com trope before they get their happily-ever-after. First, they have to deal with their individual love triangles. Then, Han-gyeol has to question his sexuality because Eun-chan misleads him into thinking she’s a guy. Finally, he has to come to terms with the lie so they can be together. Naturally, when they get to the third stage, they find it impossible to keep their hands off of each other. In this scene, Eun-chan runs all the way to Han-gyeol’s house because she misses him. Once there, they have a stare-off, as if to express that neither wants to hold back. When boundaries have been telepathically confirmed, he picks her up and kisses her against the door.
#25: The Floating Kiss
“Moving” (2023)
Zo In-sung took floating on cloud 9 to a whole new level in this scene with Han Hyo-joo. You see, his character, Doo-sik has a superpower. He can fly. The downside is that he starts floating whenever he’s excited. So, when he finally kisses Mi-hyun, played by Han Hyo-joo, for the first time, you bet he was floating mid-air, with his lips still on hers. Now, that ought to make anyone feel special. Funnily enough, he passed this trait onto their son, who also starts levitating when his crush is around.
#24: The Royal Kiss
“The King’s Affection” (2021)
This majestic lip-lock embodies the truest essence of the title of the K-drama. Our King, Lee Hwi, Dam-yi[d] to her closest, has decided that all bets are off when it comes to her relationship with Ji-woon. She’s risking her very life for their romance and has absolutely no regrets. So, when Ji-woon gets jealous of her queen, Ha-kyung, trying to steal a kiss from Dam-yi, she does what she knows will placate him best. After meeting at their hideaway, she makes her feelings clear as day before leaning in to plant a kiss on his lips. Ji-woon takes the lead from there and pulls her into his arms. While she rests on his lap, he shows her just how much he loves her.
#23: Kissing Exes
“Our Beloved Summer” (2021-22)
This is your favorite couple’s favorite couple. Choi Woo-shik and Kim Da-mi play exes here but their kiss in this scene has a chokehold on us like no other. Lit by the golden sunset, soaked in the rain, they kiss as if in a trance. Like that’s all they’ve wanted to do since they met again. Throwing caution and denial to the wind, they give in to each other in the moment. As a bonus, we get a dreamy montage of all the kisses from their relationship while BTS’ V’s golden voice offers the perfect soundtrack. It just doesn’t get any more romantic than this.
#22: The Unconditional Kiss
“My Dearest” (2023)
More than the actual kiss, the context behind this scene makes it so memorable. This is the very first time in the series that our female lead kisses the male lead back. It has taken them seventeen episodes of war, anguish, separation, and torture to get there and when they do, of course, the kiss is heavenly. After all, he has just assured her that he’ll love her unconditionally. Namkoong Min pours his soul into this kiss and Ahn Eun-jin looks ethereal even with tears in her eyes. The moment their lips meet, you might find yourself letting out a breath you didn’t even know you were holding.
#21: The Friends to Lovers Kiss
“Fight for My Way” (2017)
This show was the K-drama awakening of countless fans and this kiss, simply iconic. Kim Ji-won and Park Seo-joon are childhood friends in the show and she’s trying to remind him of his place, clearly far below her. Yet, all her feisty confidence leaves the chat when he pulls her in by the waist and shows her how he really feels with a kiss. As she pulls away to catch her breath, he’s more smug than she can handle. Oh, how the tables have turned.
#20: The Lantern Kiss
“Alchemy of Souls” (2022-23)
Heated arguments diffused by even hotter kisses, we stan! Our leads, played by Lee Jae-wook and Go Youn-jung, give us the most ardent will-they-won’t-they in this scene. Meanwhile, the tension between them keeps getting more and more palpable. Then she flips the switch. Once the metaphorical lantern is turned off, he knows he can express his feelings just as they are. She leads and he follows. The result is the most passionate kiss, the kind that’s only possible with soulmates. With their chemistry, these two need to be cast in another romance together.
#19: The Can't Get Enough Kiss
“Suspicious Partner” (2017)
The sense of urgency in this scene is what makes it stand out. Our leads, Ji Chang-wook and Nam Ji-hyun are gorgeously backlit by a warm glow as they shed their inhibitions and kiss. And kiss they do like there’s no tomorrow. It’s so intense that you almost wanna look away and give the two some privacy. But at the same time, you know you can’t miss out! This scene proves why Ji Chang-wook is called one of the best kissers in the K-drama world, always leaving fans wanting more.
#18: The Couch Kiss
“Love in Contract” (2022)
This K-drama was a refreshing take on the tried and true contract marriage trope. Go Kyung-pyo and Park Min-young portray a mature relationship that takes time and effort to bloom. He’s awkward and reserved, so she takes the lead. When it comes to a kiss, he’s the one making the first move. And quite boldly, might we add, which is what makes his character all the more charming. In this scene, playfighting on the couch turns into the most romantic kiss that will call you single in a hundred different languages. Nevertheless, we’re obsessed!
#17: The Domestic Bliss Kiss
“Something in the Rain” (2018)
Moments where our leads unburden themselves of society’s expectations and revel in each other’s embrace are few and far between in this K-drama. You see, Jin-ah is Jun-hui[e]’s elder sister’s best friend. As exciting as a noona romance is on our screens, the prejudice the couple has to face in the story is heartbreaking. That is exactly what makes this kiss so special. Jin-ah and Jun-hui unplug from the noise that surrounds their relationship, pushing guilt aside to be honest with their feelings. They let their guards down and are playful with each other, consciously ignoring the dark reality looming over them. They clearly wish it lasted forever and we do too.
#16: The Dreamy Kiss
“Nevertheless” (2021)
Park Jae-eon[f] had such a chokehold on Yoo Na-bi’s psyche that our girl was already dreaming about him by the second episode. Suffice to say, it was no innocent dream by any means. Jae-eon shows up at her door and without a word of explanation, pins her against the wall for a kiss. Maybe it’s because this scene is a dream sequence but the two go way farther than any ordinary K-drama would allow. That is until a phone call interrupts her racy fantasy. No prizes for guessing who had come beckoning. It was the player of her dreams, of course!
#15: The Rain Kiss
“Doom at Your Service” (2021)
There’s no trope more classic in fictional romance than kissing in the rain. So, if you want to have a K-drama moment with your partner, make sure you never carry umbrellas with you when you’re out and about. That’s exactly how Dong-kyung[g] and Myul Mang end up sharing a tender kiss while it’s pouring. Even the wish-granting personification of literal doom isn’t immune to sentimentality. Unfortunately for them, it ends on a tragic note. She had just asked him to love her a moment ago. However, before they could reflect on that wish or the meaning of the affirming kiss that came after it, he vanished into thin air.
#14: The Straddle Kiss
“Bad and Crazy” (2021-22)
Two exes with unresolved feelings and pent-up pining, dangerously close to each other, all alone in a semi-dark room. One is wounded, and the other is dressing his wound, clearly concerned about the injury. What happens next is anyone’s guess. But you’re not ready for how breathtaking it is. The first time they kiss since breaking up is just to get it out of their systems. The second time they do it, with her straddling him on the chair, is pure romance. You just can’t help but be in love with their love.
#13: The Kiss of Surrender
“What's Wrong with Secretary Kim” (2018)
There’s a lot to learn from Young-joon[h] and Mi-so’s relationship. One such lesson is about communication. Although it is unbeknownst to Mi-so for most of their romance, she and Young-joon are childhood sweethearts. They’re also colleagues. For two people who grew up together and work with each other, engaging in, erm, adult activities, might not come as smoothly as for others. So, like mature lovers, they talk about it. Problem is, right when Young-joon has made up his mind to put the brakes on his pacing, Mi-so is all set to speed up. Once he has the green light from her, he sweeps in with a passionate kiss. It quickly becomes very obvious that he had been waiting for that moment his entire life.
#12: The Reunion Kiss
“Crash Landing on You” (2019-20)
“CLOY” is the kind of drama where love triumphs all. It moves worlds and transcends borders. When North Korean Army Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok[i] falls for South Korean heiress Yoon Se-ri, they’re well aware they’d have to go to the ends of the world to be together. This scene takes it literally. The couple promised to find each other after separating and the location they’re hoping to reunite in is Switzerland, where they first met. After several trials and errors, they finally cross paths. In a full circle moment, she sees him waiting as she lands after a round of paragliding. Her eyes sparkle with tears as she jumps into his arms and they share the sweetest kiss.
#11: The Gender Swap Kiss
“Mr. Queen” (2020-21)
This one has some pretty complicated layers to it, but one thing is certain: the chemistry is chemistry-ing. Shin Hye-sun’s character is a man who not only traveled back in time. His soul is stuck in a queen’s body. A womanizer in his original timeline, he’s in denial about his attraction to the King, played by Kim Jung-hyun. When His Highness kisses his queen to evade the enemies, he, in her body, commits to the act. Little did he know, he would get too carried away. The fake kiss gets too real too fast… until he comes to his senses.
#10: The Boyfriend Shirt Kiss
“Destined with You” (2023)
K-pop idol-turned-actor Rowoon and Cho Bo-ah deliver the kind of kiss that leaves your breath hitched. He has just seen his girl in his shirt, looking adorably tempting and he just can’t help himself! Honestly, who can blame him when Cho Bo-ah is that gorgeous? Besides, the two very conveniently turn the lights off on accident, leaving the scene dimly lit. Your replay button will be crying for help by the time you’re done rewatching this scene just to make sure you got every angle.
#9: The Shower Kiss
“Melting Me Softly” (2019)
This kiss got so hot, our couple had to turn on the shower to cool themselves down. For a little backstory, they just woke up from being frozen for 20 years. A tiny side effect is that their body temperature cannot exceed ninety-one degrees Fahrenheit. With such a passionate kiss, there’s no way their bodies are staying in the safe zone. But you best believe they’ll finish what they started. The solution? Take a cold shower while kissing! The kiss might be to die for, but they’ve got to live longer for more.
#8: The International Kiss
“Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” (2016-17)
One of the best perks of being a goblin has to be the power of teleportation. We might as well call him Mr. Worldwide with how he transports from place to place with none of the hassle of flights. In this particular scene, Ji Eun-tak[j] flies for seventeen hours to get to South Korea from Quebec. She arrives, only for Kim Shin to teleport her back to where she came from. Now, that might make some people crash out but luckily, Eun-tak is more than happy to return, joined by Shin. Satisfied to see her happy, he urgently places his lips on hers, leaving a trail of kisses up to her pretty eyes.
#7: The Unforgettable Kiss
“Business Proposal” (2022)
This scene starts with a misunderstanding. Young-seo, played by Seol In-ah, forgot her first kiss with Kim Min-kyu’s Sung-hoon. He took that personally. So, he vows to give her a kiss she’ll never forget. We don’t know about her but we’re definitely never forgetting this one. The real highlight is the way he pauses for a split second to take his glasses off. This scene saw heights of virality never scaled before and according to some fans, even outdid our main couple’s kisses! That’s a serious feat in the K-drama world.
#6: The Birthday Kiss
“It's Okay to Not Be Okay” (2020)
Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Yea-ji demonstrate a lesson on self-control gone very right in this legendary kissing scene. One moment, he’s teaching her about restraint. The next, he can’t hold himself back from diving into a kiss with her. Especially not when she is looking at him with those doe eyes. While the kiss did calm her down, it left us with all the butterflies. The cherry on the cake? His sweet sentiments afterwards. In case you needed a reminder, this man is, unfortunately, fictional.
#5: The Tearful Kiss
“Mr. Plankton” (2024)
If you’re going to watch this show, keep a box of tissues for the tears and a pillow to hide your face in when the butterflies attack. Together, Hae Jo[k] and Jae-mi are a double-edged sword. They start off as bitter exes. When they reconnect, he’s living with a terminal illness and she just received a life-changing diagnosis. After a transformative road trip, Jae-mi is finally ready to confess her feelings just when he’s letting her go. She waits for him in the rain and after being stood up, waits some more at his old office. She’s confident he’ll come to her, which he does, proving that they’re indeed inseparable. Their emotions get too overwhelming and this breathtaking, tear-stained kiss happens, followed by sweet reminiscence.
#4: The Long Overdue First Kiss
“Lovely Runner” (2024)
Imagine you lived half your life thinking your crush hated you. Then, they tell you fifteen years later that they actually liked you all along! You’d run just like Byeon Woo-seok does in this scene. He has simply waited long enough. Who can blame him for pinning her against the wall and kissing her like he’s making up for lost time? Besides, the height difference just makes things even cuter. This is the type of kiss that makes you re-download that dating app or call the one that got away. Proceed at your own risk.
#3: The Sprinkler Kiss
“King the Land” (2023)
Say it with us now. Consent is sexy! This is the only kiss on this list where the male lead expressly asks for consent. Of course that makes the romance quotient go through the roof! The kiss that follows leaves him shaking as he holds her close before going in for another one. They’re also soaking wet from having activated the sprinklers but they couldn’t care less about their surroundings. All they can focus on is each other. Needless to say, Lee Jun-ho and Yoona execute this kiss with sheer perfection.
#2: The Make Up Kiss
“Queen of Tears” (2024)
Nothing compares to how deeply affecting, meaningful, and poignant this kiss is. For a moment, it made us forget all about the impending doom this couple had coming for them. From a terminal illness to a one-sided divorce, our leading characters, played by Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won, were in the eye of the storm. Still, with reckless abandon, they went in for the kiss. In the same spot, they had their honeymoon too! What’s even more heart-rending is not that they realized they love each other, it’s that they never stopped. Let’s just say, they weren’t the only ones in tears.
#1: The Imaginary Kiss
“When the Phone Rings” (2024-25)
Some of the best things in life are the fruit of an active imagination, like this kiss. Baek Sa-eon[l], who works as the president’s spokesperson, and Hee-joo, his wife, who - due to her circumstances - has been forced to pretend to be mute, can’t seem to catch a break. First, they enter into a contract marriage that she mistakenly thinks is devoid of affection and warmth. Then, they overcome their misunderstandings and fall in love, but a conspiracy spanning decades tears them apart. After being away from her husband for a bit too long, Hee-joo imagines this Christmas kissing sequence. With how wonderfully the scene is composed and how smoldering the kiss is, she should definitely consider a career as a fan-fiction author.
Which of these dizzying kisses is your dream scenario? Don’t be shy, tell us in the comments!
