Chibiwatch!
The Shimada brothers certainly have a strong fan-following. Maybe its something to do with their gameplay styles, the fact that Genji looks like an absolute beast with that metal exterior of his, or just because Hanzo seems to entice fangirls everywhere he goes.
Whatever the reason, fans will soon have the chance to own pint-sized versions of the iconic Overwatch characters, since their respective Nendoroid figurines are due for release next year.
According to an article on Polygon –
Overwatchâs Shimada brothers, Genji and Hanzo, are joining the lineup of adorable Nendoroid figures based on Blizzardâs wildly popular shooter. Nendoroid Genji and Nendoroid Hanzo will join Mei, Mercy and Tracer as part of toymaker Goodsmileâs action figure line next year.
Nendoroid Genji will come with his classic silver and green skin, as well as a number of accessories that highlight his abilities. Genji will come with a sword, the sparrow feather that appears in Blizzardâs âDragonsâ animated short, and translucent accessories based on the ninjaâs Deflect and Dragonblade skills.
His brother, Nendoroid Hanzo, will come with his own set of accessories, including alternate facial expressions, a bow and arrow (of course) and twin dragons that mimic the archerâs Dragonstrike attack.
Nendoroid Genji and Nendoroid Hanzo are available for pre-order from Goodsmile for $49.99. The toys are expected to ship in June 2018.
They’re far more complex and customizable than your average Funko Pop, and will very likely set you down the path to collecting the other Blizzard Nendoroid figures previously released. After all, can you really say not to Tracer?
