A Paul Walker Documentary Is In Development

“It’s been a long day without you my friend and I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again.”

In November 2013, Paul Walker tragically lost his life at the age of 40 with his friend Roger Rodas in a car crash. The actor made his final screen appearance in the seventh Fast & Furious feature, which saw his character Brian O’Conner drive off into the sunset. The Golden Globe nominated See You Again both closed out the film and acted as a swan song for Walker. To this day, Walker is remembered as a star we lost far too soon. Now his memory will be further preserved through a Paramount Network documentary.

According to Deadline, the documentary will explore both Walker’s life and death, featuring interviews with his close friends and co-stars. In addition to his acting career, the film is also going to delve into his love of oceans and his assistance in Haiti following the infamous earthquake. The project will reunite director Adrian Buitenhuis and producer Derik Murray, who previously worked together on I Am Heath Ledger, another documentary about a young actor whose life was cut short.

Murray has several other documentaries to his credit, including I Am Chris Farley, I Am JFK Jr., I Am Dale Earnhardt, I Am Evel Knievel, I Am Steve McQueen, I Am Bruce Lee, I Am MLK Jr., and I Am Sam Kinison. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that this film will be titled, I Am Paul Walker.
