It also has a super smooth, easy-to-maneuver swivel head, and comes with lots of accessories. If you’re a stickler for big brands, then maybe this upright Dyson model will grab your attention. Sure, it has lots of similar features to the aforementioned Shark model, including great suction, but its best asset is its super-flexible maneuverability. If you like your vacuum to be able to whip around the house quickly, smoothly — and rather enjoyably — then the Multi Floor 2 is an intriguing option. No time to vacuum? Then why not try this roughly $280 robo-vacuum! Via a smartphone app, you can set a cleaning schedule for the RoboVac 30C, and even manually control it to target specific areas. It’s fully capable of climbing over ledges between rooms, shuffling onto rugs and stopping itself from tumbling down the stairs. The Deluxe: Miele Complete C3 Marin
If you want a vacuum with longevity and deep cleaning capabilities, go for a Miele. The C3 Marin canister vacuum has a high suction power of 1200 watts and yet is, surprisingly, much quieter than a lot of other vacuums. It’s also more expensive – selling around $700 or more. But if you find solace in investing in some solid household products, then going for a Miele is a great way to do it.

If you want a compact, portable, handheld vacuum for the stairs – or maybe exclusively for your car – then the $200 Dyson V7 trigger is a beast of a choice. With lots of different attachments available, and a runtime of about 30 minutes, the V7 is capable of sucking up particles as small as 0.5 microns. So crumbs shouldn’t be a problem! We also love its super easy-to-empty chamber and variable power modes.
So which vacuum should you choose? Well that depends on what kind of surfaces you need it for. Bare floors are pretty simple to tackle. But if you’ve got a lot of thick carpets and rugs, then you’d better be willing to invest.
