#10: Zlatan Ibrahimović
Manchester United
Those who thought the Swedish striker couldn't hack it in England couldn't have been more wrong. Moving from PSG to Manchester United in 2016 - Zlatan proved a nightmare for defenders and goalies alike. His pace, strength, height, long range efforts, headers and free-kicks mean he’s a danger anywhere on the pitch. Yes, he’s had a few injuries, but he’s guaranteed to come back strong.
#9: Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal
The London club were rubbing their hands together after signing Lacazette from Lyon in the summer transfer window. A striker with serious pace and great vision, he’s a dream for any midfielder looking to pick out a pass, whether he’s on a run from the halfway or hanging on the last man. A goalscorer and a playmaker, he also seems a tireless worker. His teammates must love him.
#8: Dele Alli
Tottenham Hotspur
Although Spurs striker Harry Kane has dominated headlines in recent seasons, Alli is a vital part of Tottenham’s success, providing goals and assists. The midfielder’s tenacity on the pitch sometimes lands him in hot water, but when it doesn't, it contributes to an aggressive and effective style of play that sees him either slotting a ball through a defensive or into the goal. And his late runs into opposition territory can prove impossible to track.
#7: David De Gea
Manchester United
A stand-out performer in the otherwise uninspiring Louis Van Gaal era, De Gea is arguably one of the best goalkeepers in the world, let alone the Premier League. It’s simple, this guy pulls off the save, even when his defence lets him down. And unlike some other keepers, De Gea has the agility to deal with an onslaught of shots and he's more than capable with the ball at his feet.
#6: Toby Alderweireld
Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs have an abundance of attacking players, but they’d be nowhere without this guy at the back. An old school ‘when in doubt, get it out’ defender, you can always rely on Alderweireld to wrestle a striker off the ball or make a last ditch tackle. He may not boast as many skills in his locker as his teammates, but he’s as solid and reliable as they come, plus he's always on hand with a searching forward pass, ready to launch another attack.
#5: Philippe Coutinho
Liverpool
He was hot property on deadline day, and for a good reason. Coutinho is one of the most talented midfielders in the game. With quick feet and an even quicker football mind, he’s guaranteed to get goals, be they stunning free kicks or edge of the box screamers. He’ll bag a bunch of assists, too. Along with attacking players like Sadio Mané, Coutinho is the gel that holds Liverpool’s midfield and strike force together.
#4: Sergio Agüero
Manchester City
Unlike some strikers, Agüero’s deadly appetite has stayed strong over the last few years - and he has consistently proven that he is as clinical as ever. Hanging on the last defender like a bad habit, only to give them the slip at the last minute, Agüero is one of the most well-rounded strikers in the Prem. And he scores a lot of goals - which is likely to continue, especially given his recently-established telepathy with teammate Gabriel Jesus. Give him half a yard, and he'll make you pay.
#3: N'Golo Kanté
Chelsea
Snatched from Leicester after their Premier League title win, Kanté has proven to be one of the most consistent defensive midfielders in Europe. Although he can become a brick wall in defense and throw in a vital challenge or two, Kanté’s real charm lies in his ability to kick-start a counter attack. If you didn’t know it, you’d probably mistake his fancy footwork for that of a striker.
#2: Kevin De Bruyne
Manchester City
A player who seems to be getting better and better, De Bruyne is one of the most creative, threatening and versatile attacking midfielders in the Prem. From long-range passes to darting through defences, De Bruyne is a rare example of young, energetic player, with a football brain beyond his years. And much to the delight of manager Pep Guardiola, if he’s not on the scoresheet, he’s probably assisted whoever is.
#1: Romelu Lukaku
Manchester United
Lukaku has been a prolific striker for years, earning a name for himself in an Everton shirt. But following his move to Man United in July 2017, he has struck scintillating form at Old Trafford. Since his transfer, he’s found goals aplenty and proven a vital part of United's squad, especially since the departure of Wayne Rooney. And with first-rate support from the likes of Mata, Mkhitaryan and Pogba, the Belgian's sure to continue finding the net.
