A nice reprieve from the face paced action we had been playing through. The giraffes, grazing wildly in the middle of what used to be a bustling city, is a gorgeously portrayed reminder of how much the world had changed.

This scene had everyone wondering if we were about to lose Joel, and play the rest of the game with Ellie. It didn't help when we did actually start playing as Ellie, without an immediate explanation to where Joel was.

With Ellie locked up by cannibals and pedophiles, and Joel completely out of commission, we were wondering just how Ellie was going to get herself out of it. She showed dignity and didn't crumble under the pressure of the situation, showing her growth and character.
