This showdown between Edith and Mary was a superb scene. Edith, though herself not innocent, suffered Mary's condescension and nasty jibes for years, and had lost Bertie as a result of Mary's viciousness. Edith gets married, Anna has the baby, a happy resolution to all the storylines... That ending shot of the castle with Auld Lang Syne in the background is amazing.

Joanne Froggatt's acting is so good. It brings out real emotions and feelings. How could anyone hurt Anna? But Greene did, and he makes the audience feel exactly as disgusted as they're supposed to.
