Top 10 Stylish Anime Characters

In anime, style is just as important as strength. Welcome to, and today we are counting down our picks for Top 10 Stylish Anime Characters.

For this list, we’re taking a look at characters who have a smart sense of fashion, so we’re prioritizing stylish threads over battle-armor and mech suits.

#10: Byakuya Kuchiki
“Bleach” (2004-12)

Just because you’re a grim reaper, doesn't mean you can't purify souls with style. Byakuya has developed an effective system of completing tasks over the years, as he quickly became the 28th head of Kuchiki Clan. While Byakuya doesn't wear much beyond a standard captain’s uniform, he wears three headpieces called kenseikan and a silver white scarf. The kenseikan are a sign of nobility and the scarf is a Kuchiki family heirloom.

#9: Edward Elric
“Fullmetal Alchemist” series (2003-10)

This state alchemist doesn't mess around. The youngest state alchemist in history, Edward ditches the blue military uniform in favor of his signature, billowy hooded red coat. The black Flamel insignia on the back represents alchemy’s union of science and mystical history. The actual origins of this cross with wings goes a lot deeper, and that’s way too big of a spoiler to reveal here…

#8: Erza Scarlet
“Fairy Tail” (2009-)

Now this is a woman with many different styles. One of the main protagonists of the series and a member of team Natsu, Erza's main skill is expertise in Requip magic. This form of magic allows her to change weapons, armor, and clothes at will. From her red, black and gold Flame-Empress gear to her not so protective Sea-Empress, ehem, ‘armor’, you would be hard pressed to find someone with as sweet a wardrobe as Erza Scarlet.

#7: Nicholas D. Wolfwood
“Trigun” (1998)

Who knew a holy man could be such a bad-ass? Nicholas D. Wolfwood meets outlaw Vash the Stampede while stranded in the desert. The two join forces when Vash is impressed by ‘Punisher’, Wolfwood's collection of guns in the form of a cross. Wolfwood appears as a simple priest, but sports a non-traditional, casual suit. Wolfwood tops this all off with a tight pair of shades and a cigarrette. Damn does Wolfwood make priesthood look cool.

#6: Sora
“No Game No Life” (2014)

Just because you’re broke doesn’t mean you cant have style. Sora makes a life for himself as a NEET, or someone who is not in education, employment, or training, and is primarily focused on gaming. Along with his stepsister Shiro, they are the main protagonists of the series. Unlike many of our male entries, Sora brings a lot of color and flair to the table in bright yellow and blue jeans. His shirt, a very popular clothing item in real world Japan, says ‘I heart humanity’.

#5: Alucard
“Hellsing” (2001-12)

Who knew priests could be such bad asses? Nicholas D. Wolfwood, better known as just Wolfwood, meets Vash the Stampede while stranded in the desert and joins forces after he is impressed by Wolfwood's Punisher, a collection of guns in the form of a cross. Wolfwood appears as a simple priest, but sports a non-traditional garb of a casual suit. Wolfwood tops this off with a nice pair of shades and a cigarrette. Damn does Wolfwood make priesthood look cool.

#4: Spike Spiegel
“Cowboy Bebop” (1998-99)

All the best bounty hunters are known for their style, but none are as famous as Spike Spiegel. Spike is the leader of a group of bounty hunters who travel around space in their ship, the Bebop. Spike appears in the anime and manga wearing a blue suit based off of late actor Yusaku Matsuda’s appearance in the film Tantei Monogatari. When you think of chill anime characters who know they look good, Spike is at the top of the list.

#3: Itachi Uchiha
“Naruto” (2002-)

While a ninja in action isn’t meant to be seen, the ninjas of Naruto have stlye that just begs to be shown off. The older brother of Sasuke, Itachi is a loyal shinobi, looking ever so dangerous in his black and red coat. And dangerous he is, as he will go to any length to protect his family. In a series full of stylish ninjas, Itachi looks mysterious and deadly all at the same time.

#2: Lelouch Vi Brittania
“Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion” (2006-08)

Here’s someone whose style goes the extra mile. Lelouch vi Britannia was a royal noble who was exiled from his country and hides in Japan in the guise of a middle-school student. After obtaining the power of the Geass, Lelouch becomes freedom fighter Zero. While at school Lelouch wears a standard student uniform, but as Zero he goes all out, wearing a gold-trimmed dark blue suit. Also there is no forgetting that awesome cape.

Ciel Phantomhive should be on this list. He even deserves to be #1
Seto Kaiba's (Yu-Gi-oh! Duel Monsters) outfits are better than most of these. His style is always on point. Especially his duel jackets.
continuing your hatred of jojo, eh?
Not a single JoJo??
