10 Most Destructive Ratchet & Clank Weapons

Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we’re looking at the 10 Most Destructive “Ratchet & Clank” Weapons!

“Ratchet & Clank” has featured a wealth of insane weaponry over the years, but if you want confirmation that your target is never coming back, these are your most devastating tools of destruction.

Which weapon gets the job done for you? Did your favorite make the list? Share with us in the comments below!

Shock Blaster

At its core, the Shock Blaster is just a flashy shotgun, but boy, does it demolish! Admittedly, the fire rate could be a tad quicker, but when facing a horde of enemies, this will come in handy. The Shock Blaster has a moderate spread and packs a massive punch, especially at close range. That said, one shot can wipe out an entire cluster of blood flies and tyhrranoids. Even in multiplayer, you can take out opposing enemies with only a couple pulls of the trigger. However, it becomes a different monster once upgraded, allowing the user to charge shots and even create lightning arcs between enemies!

Glove of Doom

Getting annoyed by the smaller enemies trying to surround you? Well, the Glove of Doom grants you the power to summon your own annoying horde of killer robots, the Agents of Doom - or once upgraded, the Agents of Dread! These delightful, destructive bots will excitedly rush to their target and make themselves explode, potentially offing foes in an instant. At first, they can only attack ground enemies, but upgraded versions will allow them to target some airborne enemies and attack from further away. In other words, let the Agents of Doom fight on your behalf while you search for Gold Bolts!

Rift Inducer

If you’d like to rip holes in space and time while ripping your enemies apart, then the Rift Inducer will become your new best friend...depending on which “Ratchet & Clank” game you play. In “Up Your Arsenal”, the Rift Inducer possesses the power to generate black holes, reeling enemies in and erasing them from existence. The version in “A Crack in Time”, on the other hand, opens a portal that summons an interdimensional creature named Fred, who will snatch up enemies in close proximity. Basically, this is good for dealing with the foes that annoy you most.

Scorpion Flail

Throwing tantrums has never been more fun than when using the Scorpion Flail! Whereas your average flail focuses on close combat, the Scorpion Flail boasts a modest amount of range both in reach and area of effect. Ratchet can slam this thing down rapidly and create shockwaves to keep enemies at bay or split groups up. The damage is far more devastating when upgraded to the Leviathan Flail and used for a jump-slam attack! And you’d be best to steer clear of players wielding this in multiplayer as they can swing overhead.

Plasma Whip

Sometimes, it feels like the Omniwrench could use a little more oomph in damage and reach. Luckily, there’s a melee weapon that’ll help you clear rooms of boxes and enemies quicker! Enter the Plasma Whip. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like, and even though it’s not super great against tough targets, it’s a handy device for taking on several waves of smaller threats. Or if you don’t wanna spend too much time on breaking boxes, it’s pretty good for that, too. And like the Scorpion Flail, its upgraded forms will leave shockwaves when used for jump-slams. Fun fact: the Plasma Whip was inspired by Ivy Valentine’s weapon in the “Soulcalibur” games!

Bee Mine Glove

A number of weapons on this list make for quick and painful deaths. However, the Bee Mine Glove? Welp, we like to call this the “Nic Cage Experience”. With this glove, you can toss small hives containing bees to either break boxes or hunt down and explode foes. (It all depends on the mod you equip!) At least, that’s the version given in “Size Matters”. In “Secret Agent Clank”, you can obtain a mod for explosive bees OR a mod that generates poisonous bees! Yeah, everyone’s going to have a bad time...except you.

Suck Cannon

Finding ammo can be a real pain in the arsenal sometimes, especially if your favorite weapon is constantly running low. So, why not turn the enemies into ammunition instead? In comes the Suck Cannon, an ammo-free weapon that absorbs enemies and fires them back out as explosive bullets. Admittedly, it is a weapon that can’t be used all that frequently, but it’s still a ton of fun to use when the Tyhrranoids and Puffoids start getting on your nerves. And hey, it’s also great for clearing a room of boxes, too!

Mr. Zurkon

Stinky aliens, your time has come! Mr. Zurkon is here to destroy! Yes, it’s our favorite robotic psychopath. Over the years, he’s been a perfect tool to destroy aliens while we focus on gathering bolts or finding health. Simply selecting Zurkon from your weapon wheel will deploy him, and he’ll proceed to annihilate whatever threat is nearby. Upgrading him will allow you to bring in a Zurkon Jr. that comes with his own laser cannon and sadistic dialogue. Don’t ask for the Misses, though - she doesn’t take orders from ANYONE!

RYNO

We know what you’re thinking - “oh, but which one?” Well, just about all of them (the ones with RYNO in the name, specifically). They all unleash hell in their own unique ways, whether that be with an array of focused laser beams, a mech suit, or a flurry of miniature missiles while blasting classical music. Well, that last depends on which game you’re playing, but either way, it’s a good excuse to belt out your evil villain laughs without worrying about a Sandshark or blarg soldier catching you off guard.

Before we reveal the most destructive weapon in “Ratchet & Clank” history, here are a few Honorable Mentions…

Proton Drum

Covers Quite a Bit of Ground!

Pixelizer

Turn Your Enemies Into SNES Sprites With Insane Spread

Sonic Eruptor

Belching Frog = Total Annihilation

Bouncer

It’s Like an Explosive Kickball Filled with Smaller Explosive Kickballs

Harbinger

While it fulfills the role of a RYNO-type weapon, the Harbinger was created by Vox Industries as a rival to Gadgetron's R.Y.N.O. And it’s arguably far more destructive! This bad boy can do a whole lot more damage than just a few explosives could! The most powerful weapon in “Ratchet Deadlocked”, the Harbinger can create targeting beacons that’ll call upon the power of an orbital ion cannon to rain down on the battlefield! Yeah, there’s no way anyone is going to survive that...unless you’re a boss character or integral to the story.
