Born on August 28th, 1965 in Windsor, Ontario, Shania Twain helped her family make ends meet by singing in bars before she was 10 years old. A regional country singer took Twain under her wing and soon after recording her demo, the young Canadian released her debut. Her breakthrough would be her 2nd album though: 1995's "The Woman in Me". However, it was with 1997's "Come On Over" that she found crossover success in both country and pop music, winning her several Grammy Awards and spawning a dozen singles.
