In the world where powerful alchemists can do the impossible, regular soldier’s have to go the distance to earn respect. Being the right hand to Flame Alchemist Roy Mustang has not only allowed Riza to prove her aptitude as a soldier, but as a regular woman who can stand up to the most powerful and horrifying monsters in the world. Riza is often quiet, and rarely voices her opinions and prefers to let her gun do the talking. Honestly, what's more badass than being a space bounty hunter? Seemingly unfazed by his troubling past in an organized crime syndicate, Spike works alongside Jet Black aboard the star ship Bebop in pursuit of the largest bounties. Despite his laid-back demeanour, Spike is not one to be underestimated with a personal kill count that is through the roof. He can boast to being a master martial artist, a precise marksman and a brilliant tactician. Yeah, we're pretty much convinced Spike was just born cool.

Zoro is at his best when his back is too the wall, and has been known to the turn the worst situations around in his favour.

#4: Revy “Black Lagoon” (2006)

Sympathy is a foreign language to this mercenary smuggler. Revy is a woman who believes in saying and doing whatever she wants. What’s more badass than that? Preferring to break his enemies emotionally before destroying them physically, Alucard never hesitates to throw himself headlong into a fight. Top 10 Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Moments

This lone warrior is the stone that the builder refused and gains all of his cool points by simply living free from life's constraints. He is responsible for only himself and finds interest in anything that involves women, alcohol, or fighting. Mugen's unorthodox fighting style is the perfect representation of his being, as it is purely instinctual, erratic, and super effective. Never the follower and always the trendsetter, Mugen prefers to wear a loose fitting jacket and shorts instead of traditional samurai garb. Before we unveil our pick for Top Anime Badass, here are a few honorable mentions: Hiei “Yu Yu Hakusho” (1992-95) Ashram “Record of Lodoss War” (1998) Motoko Kusanagi “Ghost in the Shell” (1995) Kenshiro “Fist of the North Star” (1994-87) Kenpachi Zaraki “Bleach” (2004-12) Asuka “Neon Genesis Evangelion” (1995-96)
