#10: Steven Seagal

Steven Seagal Vs. Jean-Claude Van Damme

While the action star has never been known for his acting chops, you’d think he’d at least get better the more movies he’s in. Nope, that’s not the case with Steven Seagal. Though he’s been active since the late ‘80s, he’s still wooden in movies like “On Deadly Ground” and “Half Past Dead” – and that makes it all the more difficult for audiences to take him seriously as the years pass by. He’s lucky he can still kick ass! Off set, the actor has seen some troubled times, and this includes three different lawsuits filed against him for crimes such as sexual harassment and employment discrimination. Yikes!

#9: Jennifer Lopez

She was a triple threat before it was a mandatory requirement for every Hollywood hopeful —and we’ll admit it: yes, she can dance, sing, and sometimes, she can act. J.Lo definitely showed quite a bit of promise but then… Bennifer happened. Her coupling with Ben Affleck produced a media frenzy that made her seem like a Hollywood diva rather than the “Jenny from the Block” she claimed to be. “Gigli” also happened, a vanity project so bad that people still cringe whenever it’s mentioned. She’s never quite bounced back and many think she comes off as pretty fake.

#8: Andy Dick

IT Director Andy Muschietti to REMAKE Pet Sematary? – The CineFiles Ep. 39

Who can even remember the last thing they saw with this guy? For years, Andy Dick’s off-screen time has overshadowed anything he’s done on-screen. Multiple arrests, multiple trips to rehab, public intoxication, and a public feud with Jon Lovitz have turned this guy into tabloid fodder. His last big project was the voice of Boingo the Bunny in “Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil”, a 2011 animated flop. He used to be a funny comedian but now, Dick just seems more likely to be the butt of a joke.

#7: Megan Fox

She may be one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, but that doesn’t give her a free pass into audiences’ hearts. Repeatedly playing the unattainable love interest in movies like “Transformers” doesn’t give Megan Fox much to do or to show off any acting range either. But her ultimate low had to be her role in the critically panned “Jonah Hex,” where she basically phoned it in for 81 painfully long and insufferable minutes. She did have one comedic bright spot with her role in “This Is 40,” but that’s not exactly Judd Apatow’s greatest film.

#6: Jai Courtney

He’s a relative newcomer, but he still seems to be getting cast in big movies like “Jack Reacher”, “A Good Day to Die Hard”, “Divergent” and “Terminator Genisys.” But the question is…why? Jai Courtney’s just so forgettable whenever he’s on-screen and doesn’t seem to add much to the roles he’s given. He’s basically a stand-in for any good-looking guy, but frankly, there are better generically handsome actors out there who can actually act. He has an upcoming role in “Suicide Squad,” as Captain Boomerang, so maybe he’ll finally prove he’s worth his paycheck... or maybe he’ll ironically just keep on coming back without leaving any impact...

#5: Katherine Heigl

One of the most self-sabotaging actresses out there, it seems like Katherine Heigl constantly has her foot in her mouth. After having breakout success on TV with “Grey’s Anatomy” and in the movies with “Knocked Up,” Heigl was fast becoming Hollywood’s favorite leading lady. But she pulled the rug out from under herself by bad-mouthing both projects. Her career has taken a beating since then, with her appearing in flops like “One For the Money”. She went on an apology tour before her NBC show “State of Affairs” premiered, but it was cancelled after one season. Ouch.

#4: Johnny Depp We get it—he’s either the quirky weirdo or the womanizer with the rock star swagger. It was a novelty at first to see the cool cop from TV’s “21 Jump Street” play the shy and unique Edward Scissorhands, but Tim Burton didn’t have to cast Johnny Depp in virtually all his films thereafter. Nowadays, Depp just appears to be playing some variation of Captain Jack Sparrow from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. The worst derivative of that character has to be his portrayal of the wolf in “Into the Woods” though, which is a performance many wish they had never seen.

#3: Jaden Smith

If there’s anyone who’s benefitted from nepotism in Hollywood, it’s Jaden, the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett. At first, he was cute starring alongside his father in “The Pursuit of Happyness.” But as he’s gotten older, Jaden seems to want to alienate fans by spouting bizarre theories about the universe and philosophizing via Twitter. But his Twitter rants look harmless in comparison to “After Earth”, the massive M. Night Shamalyan flop he co-starred in with his father. We know he’s just a teen but acting that bad is just unforgivable.

#2: Rob Schneider

Top 30 Movie Couples Who Hated Each Other In Real Life

There must have been some point in his career when audiences found him funny, but that was a long time ago. Rob Schneider has proven time and time again that he has the sense of humor of a third grader through ridiculous gags in movies like “The Animal” and “The Hot Chick.” He’s also gotten in trouble for portraying ethnic stereotypes in his films, with characters like a native Hawaiian in “50 First Dates” and the Japanese minister in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.” Way to go. Before we unveil our number one pick, here are a few honorable mentions: - David Spade - Tom Sizemore - Selena Gomez - Kirsten Dunst

#1: Adam Sandler

Also in:

The Redemption of Adam Sandler

What happened to this guy? The former SNL funnyman started his film career with hit after hit: “Billy Madison” and “The Waterboy,” to name a couple. Along the way though, Sandler began phoning it in, relying on lame gags and predictable potty humor. And yet, studios still seem to believe in this guy even though he’s produced flop after flop. Did anyone even see “Jack & Jill”? Adam Sandler may have nabbed a deal with Netflix to distribute “The Ridiculous Six”, but we’ve been hearing stories about disgruntled actors leaving the set due to the comedy film’s racist portrayal of Native Americans. Sounds like more of the same. Do you agree with our list? Which actors make you turn off the screen? For more can’t miss Top 10s published daily, be sure to subscribe to WatchMojo.com.
