She’s funny, she’s thought provoking, she’s pretty and she’s seriously good at acting! Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 10 Emma Stone performances! For this list, we’ve looked at movies featuring Emma Stone as a main or supporting cast member, and have selected what we deem to be the best, based on the commercial success of a film as well as its artistic merit and general popularity.

#10: Natalie “The House Bunny” (2008)

Emma Stone is queen at playing the socially awkward, pretty girl - a part played especially perfectly in the 2008 comedy, “The House Bunny”. Stone’s Natalie is the de facto leader a mish-mash of college females who aren’t exactly fashionable, and who definitely don’t stand a chance when it comes to getting with the hot guys! That is until the titular ‘house bunny’ shows up, and shakes things up! Stone’s on-screen character captures attention by the end of this movie, and Stone herself had critics increasingly cooing off-screen at the time as well!

#9: Amelia Stone “The Rocker” (2008)

A woman blessed with a wide range of acting talents, Emma Stone also has an edginess to her, which runs alongside geek-chic-ness very nicely indeed! Her charismatic confidence can be found in our next movie, as she takes to the stage alongside Rainn Wilson’s eponymous ‘rocker’! As Amelia Stone, our actress turns alternative musician, playing bass in the band ‘A. D. D.’ and making it look easy as A-B-C! Enhancing her early reputation all the time, “The Rocker” helped set her rolling toward greatness!

#8: Gwen Stacy “The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012)

When news broke that Emma Stone would be cast in the 2012 rethink of “Spider-Man,” the majority assumed that she, with her trademark red hair, would be cast as Mary Jane Watson. However, a curveball was sent our way when Emma went back to blonde, and filled the shoes of Gwen Stacy! The chief Intern at Oscorp and high school classmate/primary love interest of Peter Parker’s, Stone admitted to never having read “Spider-Man” as a kid, but her Gwen’s a grade above anyway!

#7: Grace Faraday “Gangster Squad” (2013)

Top 10 Grace Kelly Fashion Moments in Movies

So far she’s already been the college dork and the damsel in distress, next she’s gonna get a little dangerous! In “Gangster Squad,” Emma stars as Grace Faraday, working her trademark red hair with a red dress in classic film noir fashion! As Ryan Gosling’s love interest (an enviable role she scored not for the first time!), Stone comes of age somewhat as part of this high-profile cast! The movie may have received mixed reviews from critics, but it’s all but impossible to pick holes in Emma’s personal performance!

#6: Hannah ‘Nana’ Weaver “Crazy, Stupid, Love” (2011)

In “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” Emma Stone shows again that she’s ‘crazy, stupid, good’ at her job! Playing the part of Steve Carell’s daughter and Ryan Gosling’s love interest (again!) might just be one of the most wanted roles out there, and Stone does the part some serious justice! She looks good (of course) and she’s funny at times, but most of all she’s relatable and real... Her character is an everyday kinda girl, just with Gosling on her arm and an over-protective, furiously funny father... It’s a balancing act played beautifully.

#5: Eugenia ‘Skeeter’ Phelan “The Help” (2011)

One of the most critically acclaimed of Emma Stone’s performances, although she didn’t personally receive an Oscar nomination for this outing, she was an integral part to “The Help”s award season success! As Eugenia ‘Skeeter’ Phelan, she played a writer with a really rather important story to tell... The film is set within the mid-’60s Civil Rights era, and Stone’s character is intent upon relaying the racist realities of the time. It’s one of those we all should watch!

#4: Wichita “Zombieland” (2009)

If you ever find yourself surviving a zombie apocalypse, with no clear idea about what to do next, travelling across America toward an amusement park which’ll hopefully be a living dead free zone - then you’re in a bad place! But, if you got Emma Stone as a cross-country, zombie-killing companion, then all hope is not quite lost! Our actress is to Jesse Eisenberg what 5 o’clock Friday is to the everyday man or woman - a reason to live! Stone kicks ass in this movie, and we absolutely love it!

#3: Jules “Superbad” (2007)

True, this mid-2000s teen comedy is mostly all about the then-aspiring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera, but a similarly ambitious Emma Stone had her part to play in “Superbad”s success, and she played it magnificently! The object of Seth A.K.A. Hill’s desires, we first get to really know her during a hilarious Home-Economics class, at the end of which she invites the movie’s main characters to a party at her place! The boys are beside themselves with excitement, and we can’t really blame them!

#2: Sam Thomson “Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)” (2014)

Emma Stone Biography (UPDATE)

Variety’s the spice of life, and it’s definitely the flavor of Emma Stone’s filmography! Today’s runner-up role sees the actress bring to life a recovering drug addict who happens to be daughter to one of yesteryear’s most successful actors. As Michael Keaton’s Riggan Thomson attempts a return to show-business by directing a stage show, Stone is there as assistant, advisor, and a star in her own right! A provocative picture met with widespread acclaim, Emma’s Oscar-nominated performance is one of its most memorable parts! Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. - Eep Crood “The Croods” (2013) - Allison Vandermeersh “Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past” (2009) - Abby “Paper Man” (2009) - Sophie Baker “Magic in the Moonlight” (2014)

#1: Olive Penderghast “Easy A” (2010)

For Miss Stone, her top billing to this teen comedy proved a status-confirming, career-defining sensation of a step in the right direction! She plays Olive Penderghast, a good student and all-round model citizen... Apparently! When she tells the whitest of lies to a close friend of hers, however, a snowball is set into motion, and she’s made out to be the school ‘tramp’! The movie makes us laugh, but teaches us lessons and gets us thinking as well... Which is exactly what Emma Stone has a habit of doing best! Do you agree with our list?
