VOICE OVER: Lisa Yang
Roll out the red carpet because it's time for the Grammys! For this countdown we're taking on the role as fashion police and ranking the Top 10 most glamorous pieces of clothing on the red carpet. We've included celebrities like Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Adele, Gwen Stefani, Shania Twain, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, Madonna, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce.

#10: Nicki Minaj “53rd Annual Grammy Awards” (2011)

It may be hard to believe, but Nicki Minaj didn’t declare “Your Love” to be the illest until 2010. In hindsight, it’s a bit more subdued compared to what we’d be seeing from the rapper later... which she quickly remedied by walking the red carpet in Givenchy Couture. We didn’t realize it at the time, but Nicki Minaj wasn’t one to do anything lightly, so the fun and crazy style was perfect for her exuberant personality. With her matching hair and fierce, pink lipstick, her Anaconda clearly didn’t want none unless it had spots, hun.

#9: Britney Spears “42nd Annual Grammy Awards”(2000)

Before she was “Britney: Bitch” she was just Britney Spears. In the late ‘90s, we all became bored schoolgirls who danced in the hallways, begging our babies to Hit Us One More Time ). When the stuffy teacher joined in on the groove, we just knew that Britney was headed to the Grammys. The young pop star took our breath away with her glamorous snow-white dress, complete with a fur shawl and winning smile. It was her first time at the Grammys, but it certainly wouldn’t be her last: she’d just do it again and again.

#8: Rihanna “57th Annual Grammy Awards” (2015)

You know when your parents ask what you wanna be when you grow up? We imagine that wannabe princesses across the globe point to this dress as their life goals, complete with whimsical twirls and perfect courtesies. Layers upon layers of bright pink Giambattista Valli brushed against the red carpet as the singer/songwriter worked a gown that, reportedly, took up three seats at the ceremony. We suppose when you’ve graced the red carpet so many times, you have to keep upping your game, and Rihanna took the cake with this one. Literally.

#7: Taylor Swift “58th Annual Grammy Awards” (2016)

It may have been for her album “1989,” but this bold ensemble took us back to 1999... and gave it a sleek and sexy makeover. Taylor Swift -- or Tay Tay as some fans call her -- was all about the eye popping colors in her bandeau crop top and high-waisted maxi skirt. And let’s not forget that little slit that showed us that Ms. Swift has legs for days. Paired with a smack of red lipstick, and a fresh new haircut, this outfit mesmerized us on the carpet and on stage with each award she collected.

#6: Beyoncé “56th Annual Grammy Awards” (2014)

Let’s be honest: we could randomly select anything from Beyoncé’s closet and it would likely make it onto this list. Style and Beyoncé go hand and hand, so it’s almost unfair to narrow this down to one outfit. After agonizing over Beyoncé’s star-powered wardrobe, we have to give it to this stunning lace gown by “Project Runway” alum, Michael Costello. The Queen B may not have been nominated for much at the 2014 Grammys, but she turned out the ceremony with this backless, formfitting piece, because hey, if you’re going to the show, you might as well slay them all.

#5: Madonna “57th Annual Grammy Awards” (2015)

Over the years, Madonna has become that cool aunt you have that your conservative relatives whisper about, hoping that she’ll, one day, settle down and stop being so “weird.” But nope, she shows up on the red carpet, well in her 50s, in an outlandish matador-esque outfit that only she could pull off. Madonna hasn’t been nominated for a Grammy in years, but when she shows up, she really shows up. Not only does she still got it, she INVENTED it . She can still rock the fishnet, the leather, the bizarre, and, of course, the booty.

#4: Christina Aguilera “43rd Annual Grammy Awards” (2001)

Some outfits are a bit difficult to explain, and this is one of them. After getting to know the Genie in a Bottle , we quickly learned that she had a unique style that changed at the drop of a hat. At some point -- before she got Dirrty, but after she thanked her beau for knowingWhat a Girl Wants -- we got this interesting little number on the red carpet. The pop star looked like she’d come straight from a beach vacation with a new boyfriend, complete with a comfortable, revealing dress, braids, strappy high heels, and big earrings.

#3: Katy Perry “53rd Annual Grammy Awards” (2011)

At a young age, we were taught that girls just wanna have fun, and no star exemplifies that quite like Katy Perry. The colorful wigs. The quirky personality. The sprinkling of Teenage Dreams with high school crushes and fast-paced romance. We were blown away when she replaced her popular California Gurl look with an angelic touch of sophistication -- yeah, those are wings with her custom-made Giorgio Armani dress. As an extra bonus, the pop icon showed us that the stylish apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as her 90-year-old grandmother rocked the red carpet with her.

#2: Lady Gaga “52nd Annual Grammy Awards” (2010)

If you wanna talk fashion statements, you gotta talk about Gaga, oh la la. While she has toned it down over the years, Mother Monster is best known for those wacky, out of this world designs complete with spectacular entrances. We can best describe our #2 pick as some kind of intergalactic dress from our sci-fi fantasies. The bedazzled tubing, the highlighter blonde hair, those crazy shoes, and, of course, that fascinating prop that looks like a relic from her glamorous home planet, what else can we say but: she was Born This Way. Before we reveal our number one look, we’ll let the paparazzi have at these honorable mentions: Adele “54th Annual Grammy Awards” (2012) Gwen Stefani “57th Annual Grammy Awards” (2015) Shania Twain “41st Annual Grammy Awards” (1999)

#1: Jennifer Lopez “42nd Annual Grammy Awards” (2000)

If you’ve been keeping up with the Grammys, you were probably waiting to see where this dress would end up on this list. The singer/actress/everything in-between went down in history for wearing this Versace dress, and we’re sure you can imagine why. Some dresses just ooze sex appeal, but J-Lo’s daring ensemble screamed it from the rooftops -- and still does even after all these years. All and all, it does exactly what you’d want to achieve on the red carpet: make people stop, take notice, and wonder if you’re crazy... or just that damn confident in yourself.
