Sheldon had avoided getting back together with Amy in the past because of how hard it had been to get over her. But in that moment that didn’t matter. All that mattered was getting her back. So, he marches right over to her apartment and tells her that she is his heartworm - it sounds bad, but trust us when we say it’s really sweet and romantic.

But even she can’t ignore the sweet romance in the gesture. Although, it eventually takes a heartfelt speech and a cute final card to finally get her to agree to try again.

What makes the moment even better is that we, the audience, didn’t know what he was going to do until he did it. We didn’t even know where he was going until we heard the three knocks on Amy’s door.
