Formed in West Germany in 1968, Can was an experimental rock band. Jaki Liebezeit was a founding member and drummer of this revolutionary and important krautrock group. Can is known for their improvisation, preferring often to create music they referred to as instant compositions. They are seen as pioneers in the German music scene. Life after Can saw drummer Liebezeit work with numerous international artists, such as Brian Eno and Depeche Mode. He is currently working with Burnt Friedman, pursuing a vision of new music.
