Welcome to MojoPlays! For this video we’ll be looking at 10 Achievements & Trophies You Unlocked By Cheating! As fun as it can be to see another PSN trophy pop or get an increase in Gamerscore, there are some achievements and trophies that are too difficult or insanely time-consuming to legitimately obtain. These are just a handful of trophies you may have cheesed just to hear that “bling” or “blop”.
100th Anniversary
“Sid Meier’s Civilization VI” (2016)
“Civilization VI” has an extensive list of achievements that would drive any completionist over the edge. We’re talking about a list of 105 achievements, and there are some really difficult ones such as “100th Anniversary”. For this achievement, you must play as Teddy Rosevelt and build national parks on both Crater Lake and Yosemite. The problem is that the odds of both spawning in one game are very slim, which has led players to cheese this trophy through console commands or even mods. Some have even tried map seeds, but because of how frequently the game updates, the seeds become obsolete shortly after being discovered. It’s possible to cheat this one, but it’s going to be REALLY difficult.
Various
“Sega Genesis Classics” (2018)
Is it cheating if we’re using a feature in the game? Well, it all depends on how you look at it, especially when you’re playing a collection of classic games that contain some notoriously difficult titles. “SEGA Genesis Classics” grants players the ability to rewind games as if deaths and errors never occurred. However, this can also count as a way to cheese some achievements as most of them only require the player to reach a certain point in the game or do something a certain number of times. So, if you had trouble with those Janken challenges in “Alex Kidd” or getting the Emeralds in “Sonic”, you can just keep rewinding until you get it.
Unachievable
“The Stanley Parable” (2011)
Don’t be fooled by the name - this achievement is possible, but not by normal means. You know how you have to do things in the game in order to pop achievements and trophies? Well, for “The Stanley Parable’s” “Unachievable”, you actually have to break into the game’s files and put in a specific code. In other words, you have to hack the game to get this one, therefore, you are cheating. Although, we can’t blame you if you’re the type who absolutely needs to complete games.
Storyteller
“Batman: Arkham City” (2011)
Anyone who has completed “Arkham City” knows how much of a pain this was to accomplish. To obtain the “Storyteller” achievement, you must visit Calendar Man underneath the courthouse on specific holidays every month. If you’re an impatient player, you most likely went into your system’s settings and changed the dates you needed. Doing so would get you the achievement in a matter of minutes. C’mon, who is REALLY going to wait an entire year for a bronze trophy or 10G? If you did, then props to you, but this trophy should have been worth more if the developers really wanted us to wait that long.
Rich Kid Blues
“Bully” (2008)
Getting money in “Bully” can be a real grind, and when an achievement like “Rich Kids Blues” demands you accrue a large amount of cash, there’s gotta be an easier way to pop it, right? Well, lucky for us, both the “Scholarship Edition” and PS4 ports of the game retained cheat codes to make our lives a hell of a lot easier. One of these cheats instantly nets you one hundred dollars, and as you can guess, entering it ten times can nab you this achievement in a matter of seconds.
Up to the Task
“Mad Max” (2015)
"Up to the Task" requires players to complete all non-repeating in-game challenges, and while not all of them have shortcuts, a good handful of the ones that require specific vehicles can be cheesed. For challenges that task you with destroying specific vehicles from certain factions, the game ideally wants you to roam the land and just wait for them to spawn. However, there is a quicker method. Assuming you’ve already brought the required vehicle to a stronghold before, you can leave any stronghold with the vehicle needed and destroy it outside. The challenge will still be counted for. Also, remember that you can call Chumbucket to bring the Magnum Opus to you so you can assemble Archangels for challenges requiring a specific build of your car. This trophy just got a hell of a lot easier!
All Trophies
“Twisted Metal: Black” (2015)
“Black” has been known to be the hardest entry in the “Twisted Metal” franchise, and the PS4 port doesn’t have an easy trophy list. However, this is a PORT, which means you have access to cheats. Having trouble unlocking the secret drivers or beating Minion? During gameplay, simply hold down L1, L2, R1, and R2 and input up, X, Left, and Circle, and you will activate God Mode. Now, you can go after those unlockable cars with no trouble and blast through every character’s story in little time. Warhawk doesn’t doesn’t stand a chance against you!
Skull Kabob
“Mortal Kombat 11” (2019)
When it first launched, "Mortal Kombat 11" was an unbearable grindfest, demanding hours upon hours of your time. One part of the game that took way too long to obtain were heads which could be earned by performing fifty Brutalities on each character. However, an exploit was found weeks after launch where players simply had to hold down the X button between selecting the Krypt from the main menu and heading to a pike for their head of choice. Those who managed to catch wind of this exploit managed to pop the "Skull Kabob" achievement and obtain all character heads within minutes! Don't bother trying this, though - it's long been patched!
Music Racer Platinum
“Music Racer” (2018)
At a glance, “Music Racer” has one of the easiest Platinum trophies to obtain, but there is quite a bit of grinding to get through to pop all the trophies, particularly the ones that want you to unlock tracks and vehicles. Never fear - cloud saving is here! All you need to do is save up the 100,000 points needed to buy the sleigh (the most expensive vehicle in the game), but before buying it, quit the game and upload your save to your cloud storage (or a USB drive). Boot the game back up, buy the sleigh, quit again, and RELOAD your save! You shall grind no more! You can also get a controller with a turbo button and just leave the game on Zen mode. You won’t even have to touch the controller!
Jedi Master
“Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast” (2019)
This is one of the cheesiest ways to get a difficulty-related achievement! While “Jedi Outcast” demands you beat the game on its hardest difficulty, “Jedi Master”, there is a way to make this a total cakewalk for you. First, begin a new game set to “Jedi Master” difficulty. Then, open up the cheat menu and select “Warp Target”. This will allow you to skip the entire game and go straight for the final boss. Once “Yavin Final” is loaded, reopen the cheat menu and turn on God Mode. Just as you’re about to land the final hit on Desann, open the cheat menu once more, turn all cheats OFF, save your game, and quit to the main menu. Then, reload that save, and the trophy should pop when the credits start rolling.
