#3: Ridley Scott Has Completely Removed Kevin Spacey from “All the Money in the World”

In reaction to Kevin Spacey’s sexual assault allegations, Director Ridley Scott wasted no time in replacing his lead actor in “All the Money in the World” with Christopher Plummer as J. Paul Getty. Now, with the first trailer released, we finally have a first look at the finished product. The unprecedented switch in actors, which was first reported by Variety, was estimated to cost a whopping $10 million dollars because of the many reshoots needed with Plummer, as well as co-stars Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Scott said that he didn’t see any inappropriate conduct on set from Spacey, but that “you can’t tolerate any kind of behavior like that. And it will affect the film. We can’t let one person’s action affect the good work of all these other people.” Along with this role, Spacey also lost his job as Frank Underwood on Netflix’s House of Cards.

#2: “Lady Bird” Sets Record as Rotten Tomatoes’ Best Reviewed Movie of All Time

A little birdie told us that a major record has just been broken! Actor Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut Lady Bird has made history this week, becoming review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes’ best-reviewed movie of all time, beating out the previous record-holder, Toy Story 2. Both movies sit at a perfect 100%, but the comedy-drama film has collected a total of 176 fresh ratings from critics, 13 more votes than the Toy Story sequel. Lady Bird also came up big at this week’s Gotham Awards, by winning Best Actress for Saoirse Ronan’s turn as the titular Lady Bird, in addition to being nominated for Best Screenplay and Breakthrough Director. The film isn’t just a critical darling, either, as moviegoers have given it an 87% audience score on RT and an 8.4/10 on IMDB.

Before we get to our final entry, here are a couple new releases:

“The Disaster Artist” (2017)
“The Shape of Water” (2017)

#1: First “Avengers: Infinity War” Trailer Drops

Comic book fans rejoice! The first official Avengers: Infinity War trailer was released this week, and with it came pulse pounding tension and action, but also left us asking a lot of questions. The trailer starts off with several members of the Avengers delivering a dramatic intro, and curiously shows Black Widow with a new hair color, perhaps to disguise herself as she’s on the run, and may be back undercover. We also see Loki, who appears to have possession of the tesseract. What is unclear however, is what he plans to do with it. The trailer also showcases Spider-Man sporting a slick new Iron Man-esque suit, Thanos slamming some bodies around as well as Vision looks possibly meeting his end after the Mind Stone is ripped from his head. In case that wasn’t enough for fans to geek out over, Thor caps the whole thing off by teasing the Guardians of the Galaxy’s appearance.
