Welcome to MojoPlays, and today, we’re taking a look at the 10 Best “Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” Mods! While it might be difficult for your average player to mod their console, these are entertaining enough to possibly warrant the trouble. What do you think is the best “Tears of the Kingdom” mod? Did it make our list? Let us know down in the comments.

Hard Mode

Silentverge

Do you ever feel like “Tears of the Kingdom” might be a little too easy at times? For those who have spent a significant chunk of their lives playing “Zelda” games, we wouldn’t be surprised if they felt that way. Luckily, modder “Silentverge” has a way for you to really put pressure on yourself with a new hard mode. This mod alters the amount of damage Link takes by twice to quadruple the amount of an enemy’s normal damage output. In other words, you have turned the newest “Zelda” game into a FromSoftware game.

“Nice job, Hero” Game Over

HGStone

This would go great with Hard Mode…or not, depending on how often you wind up dying. This mod from “HGStone” alters the Game Over screen to play audio from the “Legend of Zelda” cartoon. One of these days, maybe Nintendo will throw this in to mock players for dumb deaths, but for now, this is the best we have, and we love it!

Amiibo Summons

Raybeano99

You didn’t hear it from us, but this would make a perfect prank to pull on someone who loves to abuse the benefits of their amiibo. From modder “Raybeano99” comes an alteration of the amiibo functionality in “Tears of the Kingdom”. Just scan in the Bokoblin amiibo with the mod installed, and instead of the Bokoblin Paraglider Fabric, you’ll spawn in a whole party of Bokoblins! Get ready for a fight!

T-Pose Gliding

Lintenso

Speaking of gliding stuff, this mod is the perfect means to strike fear into your foes both Bokoblins and Hinoxes! This mod from “Lintenso” simply makes Link’s paraglider invisible and alters his stance to his T-pose. Assert your dominance and bellow to the ground walkers that your wrath is coming and it will be swift and just!!

Barbie Merch

SpaceGeorge

The whole “Barbie versus Oppenheimer” thing is perhaps one of the most trite “us versus them” fads in recent memory. But those who want to show their glamorous support for the lady with the passion for fashion can do so with this mod. …Wait, wrong doll. Anyway, you can dress up Link in a black XL-sized shirt with the fabulous “Barbie” logo emblazoned on the front. It even comes with pink earrings, lipstick, and a small bonus to heat resistance! Thanks, SpaceGoerge!

Captain Falcon Says YES!

pootie

For as much personality as there is in the voice acting, writing, and Link’s humming, there’s room for improvement in some of the smaller sounds in Tears of the Kingdom. Take the pickup sound for example. It’s cute, but we crave some kind of support. Perhaps from a familiar voice? With this mod from “pootie”, every item pickup sound will be replaced with Captain Falcon saying “Yes!”. And if you want to alter the new item tunes, pootie has a mod for that to replace a note with the Taco Bell gong.

Ganondorf Over Master Sword

Aqua_

If Ganondorf is as powerful as he says he is, then maybe he wouldn’t mind being used as a weapon for a bit? This mod from “Aqua_” replaces the Master Sword with Ganondorf’s character model, and he comes in three forms. Headendorf makes his head the hilt and his feet the tip. Postendorf is the inverse of the two. But if either of those are too chunky and clunky for you, then you can try Kebabendorf, which is made up of smaller Ganondorfs.

Master Ladle

mangocow

The problem with the Master Sword is that it isn’t powerful enough. When it comes to legendary weapons, everyone expects a blade of some sort to wield exceptional power. What they’ll never suspect is a ladle! With this mod from “mangocow”, the Master Sword is now just your average-looking, everyday ladle. Soup’s on, and it’s mixed with a bit of Bokoblin bits!

Survival of the Kingdom

A second iteration of Survival of the Wild (the mod for “Breath of the Wild”), Survival of the Kingdom is still in active development. However, you can download what’s been implemented so far right now. Survival of the Kingdom makes “Tears of the Kingdom” annoyingly realistic by adding in harsher environments, brighter days, darker nights, a hunger system, and more. Imagine coupling this with the Hard Mode mod from earlier!

F You, Ganon!

Okay, we’re not actually ending the video with Link’s attitude problem, but this mod from “LinkTFH”, “Lintenso”, and “Jjiinx” was too funny!

Alcoholink: Thing of the Kingdom

QOTBingus

On the surface, this mod doesn’t seem to do much of anything. On the contrary, it is the funniest mod we have ever seen made for a “Zelda” game. What this mod from “QOTBingus” does is replace just about all of the text with ridiculous phrases and names. Hinoxes are now just “Things”. Battle tips point out the obvious. The skip button is a little more profane. And lore is rewritten to make fun of the player. Oh, and the best rewrite is the Game Over screen. QOTBingus has created the one “Zelda” mod to rule them all.
