He started out creating his psychedelic electro pop creations under the name Manitoba, but was forced to come up with a new handle after a lawsuit from a fellow musician. Now known as Caribou, Daniel Snaith continues to craft his liquid dance tracks even after earning his Ph.D. in mathematics. Winning accolades from fans and the industry alike, Caribou won Canada's prestigious Polaris Prize in 2008.
