RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 5: Meet the Queens!

Hey now, here are some all stars. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re highlighting the contestants from RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5: Queens RuVeal! For this list, we’ll be looking at all the queens who made the cut for the fifth season of RuPaul’s best-of-the-best competition. We’re looking at each competitor’s past achievements, various appearances and what they can bring to this season, set to air in June 2020. There’s no rank, so we’ll just be going alphabetically by first names. Since none of these players won their seasons, a SPOILER ALERT is in order. Alexis Mateo Season 3 & All Stars 1 Bam! Alexis Mateo has consistently stood out on multiple seasons of “Drag Race” thanks to her bubbly personality. This goofy energy has helped this Puerto Rican queen win several acting challenges, especially comedic parody videos. She’s consistently persevered through the competition, and placed in the top three in her debut season. Alexis has proved herself a strong team competitor with friends like Yara Sofia and famous drag daughters like Vanessa Vanjie Mateo. And she’d changed a lot on “All Stars 1,” which has left us clamoring for another redemption season. With experience and a uniquely Latin flavor to her drag, Alexis Mateo has poised herself as one to beat. Blair St. Clair Season 10 Her age hasn’t fooled anyone, since Blair St. Clair has already wowed audiences enough to return after only two years. In her short run on Season 10, Blair delivered handfuls of glamorous looks on the runway. Though her nerves held back her performances outside of fashion, she’s grown sassier with time. And Blair had impressed judges enough to stay safe up until her elimination lip sync. Her “All Stars” debut is showing a lot more humor and even sharper fashion for us to get excited for. So we do declare Blair has grown into one of the most dangerous runway queens in the season. Derrick Barry Season 8 Derrick Barry was such a hit with her dance moves on Season Eight that the producers had to show her again. Barry was a strong rival to Bob the Drag Queen, and eventually won her over as a fan. She was held back by focusing too much on impersonating Britney Spears, and was only able to reveal so much of her own character. Sadly she wasn’t able to show off her dancing and singing chops either, and ended up in fifth place. Derrick’s years of Britney live shows have molded her into a top notch stage performer, which has meant her lip syncs are top notch. Plus her All Stars Five announcement hinted at more costume changes, which highlighted how she’s grown her drag. India Ferrah Season 3 While she only lasted a few episodes at first, India Ferrah became famous for getting attacked by Mimi Imfurst. Altercations aside, India was so timid her first time out that the judges felt they didn’t see the real her. This reserved attitude was gone in her Werk Room entrance, as she appeared utterly grateful for a second chance after all these years. Her mysterious costume reveal showcased new creativity in how she used an outfit. Given how much India was remembered for one fight, hopefully she’s pulled herself up by the bootstraps in the meantime. Jujubee Season 2 & All Stars 1 If we ever needed colorful commentary, Jujubee always had a read or confession to get people laughing. As far back as Season two, she grabbed our attention as the confident and laughably aggressive queen in comedic challenges. Jujubee has proved herself a lip sync assassin, with six showdowns and no losses. And she got emotional enough in a lip sync on the first All Stars to leave everyone crying as a result. Nevertheless, she has consistently pushed the limits of comedy enough to have Ru gasping for air. As we’ve seen, Jujubee had no trouble becoming a fan favorite regardless of how far she made it. Mariah Balenciaga Season 3 Way back in Season 3, Mariah Balenciaga entertained us and then some up until her Snatch Game. Despite going out so early in the competition, Mariah made enough statements about her opponents and herself to keep us talking about her. Heck, her role in the Shangela, Mimi Imfurst fight was even reprised in season five. Nearly a decade later, Mariah has appeared on drag talk shows and in a second music video for Lizzo’s “Juice.” She’s moved past a forgot-the-words moment as well, with her back-up role on “Lip Sync Battle.” It’s been long enough for Mariah that she’s easily made a name, or several, for herself beyond just drag. Mayhem Miller Season 10 With a win in her first episode, Mayhem Miller looked like an early prospect for drag superstar on Season ten. A lack of ambitious choices and bold leadership for the rest of the show sunk her chances fast. This brief appearance clearly impacted RuPaul though, since Mayhem impressively returned for both the “Holi-Slay Spectacular” and “AJ and the Queen.” She’s connected with enough queens like Adore Delano, Detox and Raven to learn a lot since her season. Plus Mayhem has voiced enough frustration with her safe performances to suggest she’s left those days behind. Miz Cracker Season 10 The already-polished drag of Miz Cracker was fun and absorbing, so you knew she’d be a top contender immediately. In her trip to fifth place, Cracker established herself as one of the most fashion-forward queens in “Drag Race” herstory. She was one of the funniest contestants, whether she was doing a drag tutorial or actually being hit in the face. Her training and ongoing friendship with past-winner and drag mother Bob the Drag Queen has given her a great pedigree to win the crown herself. While overthinking held her up before, All Stars has left her an opportunity to be herself for once. Ongina Season 1 Back in the blurry days of Season one, Ongina came into focus for her exuberant spirit on the show. Ongina sported lots of avant-garde fashion, and bravely repped bald drag well before Sasha Velour. On this note, she also started the “Hiiiii” catchphrase ahead of Alaska’s “Bye.” Next to many of the uneven queens in the opening season, Ongina’s upbeat and artsy style has held up across the years. Given her success on the show, her sloppy drag makeover challenge and lip sync against BeBe Zahara Benet was notably controversial. If you needed any more reason to get hyped up for her return, her extravagant outfit in the RuVeal trailer already dropped our jaws to the floor. Shea Couleé Season 9 All the amazing looks and dance moves from Shea Couleé put her ahead, and she ended up with four main challenge wins. In fact the only reason she left the show in third place was because she went head-to-head with, who only had two wins mind you. Whether it was her triple-threat talents in the Kardashian musical, or comedic news bits, Shea managed to bring exceptional humor to her performances. And she’s likely brought along some unique clothes this time, given her degree in costume design. On data alone, Shea has gone in with one of the strongest claims to the crown in a season that is already full of deserving queens.
