The Best Mortal Kombat 11 Finishers So Far

The Best Mortal Kombat 11 Finishers So Far
VOICE OVER: Adrian Sousa WRITTEN BY: Ty Richardson
Mortal Kombat 11 has the best fatalities in the franchise, and even without DLC characters, we couldn't help but make a list of the best Mortal Kombat 11 fatalities so far.
Best Mortal Kombat 11 Fatalities So Far

Welcome to MojoPlays, and this our list for the Best Mortal Kombat 11 Fatalities So Far! “Mortal Kombat 11” is shaping up to be not only one of the coolest new fighting games, but the goriest “Mortal Kombat” game to ever exist! Seriously, just as we didn’t think it could get more outrageous and ultra-violent, it has proven us wrong. So far, these are our favorite fatalities! Be warned, its going to get pretty bloody!

Brain Freeze

Sub-Zero

Our Lin Kuei ninja has quite an obsession with spines and tearing them out. However, he can be just as brutal when destroying heads. In one of his newest fatalities, Sub-Zero freezes his opponent into a giant ice block, completely immobilizing them. He then behead’s them but he’s not done … (Shows punch). Damn, Sub! Why you gotta be so cold? (Sorry, sorry…) Jokes aside, this fatality is awesome in both style AND substance, and it really brings out the cinematic quality we’ve come to expect from “Mortal Kombat”.

Note for VO: The “Kuei” in Lin Kuei is pronounced as “Qway” or “Kway”.

Super Hasashi

Scorpion

After seeing this fatality, we have a feeling Scorpion may have picked up a few moves when he guest starred in “Injustice: Gods Among Us”. Here Scorpion ‘supermans’ himself through his victim’s torso. Then he chops off their head and kicks it in the air so he can … (Head gets impaled by spear). If there was any MK fighter that embodies the term of “overkill”, Scorpion would be our top choice. For him, it’s not enough to simply decapitate them or burn them alive.

Note for VO: There’s some Sonic The Hedgehog references in Kabal’s entry, if you’re familiar with the “Gotta go fast” song, try to say the entry the way the lyrics say it.

Gotta Go Fast!

Kabal

The only thing this fatality seems to be missing is a few chili dogs… For his triumphant return in the newest “Mortal Kombat” game, Kabal is using his supersonic speed to make for one hell of a finisher! Upon hooking his foe, Kabal runs at breakneck speed (literally) while dragging his victim behind. Then he lets physics do the rest: [Shows the slice] . We may make a few jokes about his concept, but his newest fatality shows that Kabal is back and ready to kick some ass!

Pole Art

Jade

Speaking of returning characters, Jade is another familiar face that we’re happy to see coming back to the series. “Mortal Kombat X” felt empty without her, and she’s coming back with a new bag of tricks...and fatalities. This one, for example, sees Jade breaking her victim’s back before stabbing her staff through the back of their skull. But if you think that’s enough? HA: [Shows her splitting Baraka in half and spinning him]. Jade, it’s nice to see you back, but try not to be too much like a certain Tarkatan warrior?

Face Off

Baraka

Baraka is one of the most vicious and frightening fighters on the “Mortal Kombat” roster, and his MK11 fatality has the distinction of being the first one to be unveiled at the game’s reveal event. He tears his foe’s face off - TWICE - before stabbing his arm blade into his brain so that he can … (Shows him eating it) Ewww! So, not only is Baraka terrifying, he’s just a freakin’ disgusting psychopath. What is with this guy and eating flesh?! There’s no nutrition in it!

Uppercut Bloopers

Johnny Cage

If you’re longing for the old days where “Mortal Kombat’s” fatalities weren’t such a spectacle, you might be amused by Johnny Cage’s somewhat new fatality. Harking back to his simple MK1 fatality, Johnny uppercuts his victim, but the punch doesn’t hit hard enough to pop their head off. So, he tries again. After nineteen takes, he has to improvise … [Shows him throw the head to the camera] . It’s a wonderful homage to a classic fatality while putting a new, comical spin on it.

Nut Kick of Death

Cassie Cage

Some people do deserve a swift kick to the groin, but Cassie Cage may be taking it a little too far with this fatality. From a short distance, Cassie charges at her victim while shooting at their chest. Once she reaches them, she delivers a .. very powerful kick … (shows kick in the groin) yeouch! Cassie Cage may not have been a fan favorite in “Mortal Kombat X”, but this hilarious fatality has changed our minds. Rock on, Cass!
