#10: “Fear the Walking Dead” – Season 4

Release Date: April 15, 2018

Fear not! You won’t have to wait long to get your zombie fix following the eighth season of “The Walking Dead.” The spinoff series is arriving just in time to deliver what might be its biggest season yet. Dave Erickson will be stepping down as showrunner, with Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg of “Once Upon a Time” taking over. Lennie James’ Morgan is also joining the show’s cast, as are several newcomers… who we probably shouldn’t get too attached to given this show’s death toll.

#9: “The Last O.G.” – Season 1

Release Date: April 3, 2018

Following his hilarious work as Tracy Jordan on “30 Rock,” we were all eager to see what Tracy Morgan would do next. Sadly, Morgan’s tragic vehicle crash in 2014 put his acting career on hiatus. Thankfully, the comedian is returning to television with “The Last O.G.,” which follows an ex-felon adjusting to life after prison. The cast additionally includes Cedric the Entertainer and Tiffany Haddish of “Girls Trip.” With Jordan Peele acting as a co-creator, we can anticipate a funny, timely, and original comedy series.

#8: “New Girl” – Season 7

Release Date: April 10, 2018

Over the past few years, “New Girl” has stood out as one of the decade defining sitcoms of the 2010s. Although the series was originally set to end after Season 6, Jess and friends are reuniting for eight final episodes. Season 7 opens with a time jump of a few years as Nick and Jess return from a European book tour. Meanwhile, Cece and Schmidt deal with parenthood while Winston reconciles with his father. We just hope there’s enough time for one last game of True American.

#7: “A Quiet Place”

Release Date: April 6, 2018 [U.S.]

John Krasinski not only directed and co-wrote this supernatural thriller, but also stars alongside his real life wife, Emily Blunt. The premise alone is full of spine-chilling potential, centering on a family who must communicate through sign language to avoid attracting an evil entity. Simply making a sound can result in certain death, meaning our heroes must meticulously think out their every move. With echoes of “Hush” and “Don’t Breathe,” “A Quiet Place” looks like another horror flick that’ll leave audiences screaming.

#6: “Nintendo Labo”

Release Date: April 20, 2018

As much as we love video games, sometimes all you need to have fun is a cardboard box and some imagination. Nintendo Labo brings together the best of both words, utilizing cardboard cutouts and the Nintendo Switch to create “Toy-Cons.” The result is an interactive gaming experience that allows you to play a piano, ride a motorbike, and so much more. The Switch has pushed the limits of what a game console can do and this construction toy aims to encompass the same level of innovation.

#5: “Rampage”

Release Date: April 20, 2018 [U.S.]

If “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” proved anything, it’s that video game-themed movies and Dwayne Johnson go together like plumbers and mushrooms. Hopefully Johnson can work his magic again in “Rampage,” a big budget adaption of the 1986 arcade game. Since the original game was about three giant monsters terrorizing a city, it’s safe to say that the film won’t exactly be Shakespeare. If it can maintain the same awesome action and old-school fun, though, we predict a smash hit.

#4: “God of War”

Release Date: April 20, 2018

While it’s chronologically the eighth game in the franchise, “God of War” is just as much a reimagining. Aside from trading in his signature chained blades for an axe, Kratos will also adopt a more parental persona as he mentors his young son, Atreus. The plot will also shift focus from Greek mythology to Norse mythology because there are only so many times you can defeat Zeus. Introducing role-playing elements and a beautifully rendered world, this PS4 title could be the breath of fresh air the series needs.

#3: “The Handmaid’s Tale” – Season 2

Release Date: April 25, 2018

“The Handmaid’s Tale” has been an enormous success for Hulu, earning universal critical acclaim and winning numerous awards, including the Emmy and Golden Globe for Best Drama Series. Carried by a raw performance from Elisabeth Moss, Season 1 was a brutal, thought-provoking, and shockingly relevant tour de force. It’s safe to assume that Season 2 won’t always be easy to watch either. However, our empowering protagonist and the hope of a better tomorrow will keep us hooked from start to finish.

#1: “Avengers: Infinity War”

Release Date: April 27, 2018

The third Avengers film was moved up a whole week from its original release date of May 4th to April 27, and fans the world over couldn’t be happier. We’ll finally get to see our favorite heroes team up to take on the Mad Titan Thanos sooner than we expected, and that's cause for celebration. The film is one of the most highly anticipated titles of the entire year, and coming off the massive success of Black Panther, Disney and Marvel surely expect this huge team-up to break some major box office records.
