We think it’s fair to say that Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart are two of the hottest names in comedy right now, and it’s about time that we get to see them on the big screen together. “Night School” follows Hart’s Teddy Walker, a slacker who is finally trying to pull up his socks and finish high school, only to encounter Haddish’s Carrie, a teacher who stands in his way. With the director of 2017’s “Girls Trip”, Malcolm D. Lee, at the helm, and names like Ben Schwartz and Taran Killam rounding out the cast, Night School might just be the movie to make school fun again.
#8: “BoJack Horseman” - Season 5 Release Date: September 14, 2018
This underrated Netflix series is not only one of the best animated programs currently on TV, but also one of the funniest comedies and - weirdly enough - arguably one of the most compelling dramas. The complex BoJack has more in common with Don Draper than Mr. Ed, although Season 4 left him on an uncharacteristically optimistic note. Will BoJack continue to get his life on track or fall back into his self-loathing ways? Either way, we know what we’re binging this month!

While the recent “Tomb Raider” movie didn’t entirely live up to expectations, Lara Croft is still thriving on the gaming front. “Shadow of the Tomb Raider” is the third major installment in the recent reboot series, which has put a stronger emphasis on gritty realism and character development. This time around, the entire world will be on the line with a Mayan apocalypse looming on the horizon. Going bigger while also introducing a few new gameplay mechanics, Lara’s latest adventure could take things to the next level.
#6: “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” - Season 13 Release Date: September 5, 2018
Top 10 Anticipated Releases of December 2018
Another show that doesn’t get nearly as much recognition as it deserves, “It’s Always Sunny” has shown no signs of become less edgy, cringy, or funny over its past 12 seasons. The Paddy’s Pub gang may have some significant changes in store for them, however, as last season saw Glenn Howerton’s Dennis make a life-altering decision. Of course, since the show is essentially a live-action cartoon, it wouldn’t be surprising if things immediately returned to the status quo. Could this be the beginning of a new era for the gang, though?

Despite their best efforts, no sequel or crossover has ever been able to reach quite the same heights as the first “Predator.” This latest installment may breathe new life into the series, though, thanks to director Shane Black, who coincidentally appeared in the 1987 film. Although the teaser threw a few people off with its Spielberg-like tone, the official trailer seemed to better capture the original film’s atmosphere while also incorporating some fresh elements. After enduring several delays, we can only hope that this is more “Aliens” and less “Alien: Covenant.” #4: “Manifest” - Season 1 Release Date: September 24, 2018

Of all the new shows premiering this fall, “Manifest” seems like the most promising based on its phenomenal premise. After enduring some turbulence, Montego Air Flight 828 comes in for a safe landing. Upon exiting the plain, however, the passengers and crew are astonished to find that five years have passed. With echoes of “Lost,” “The Leftovers,” and even “The Twilight Zone,” “Manifest” could end up treading on too familiar territory. With enough new ideas and relatable characters, though, this series could really take flight.
#3: “Life Is Strange 2” Release Date: September 27, 2018

With its quirky characters, haunting atmosphere, gripping mystery, and unique spin on time travel, “Life Is Strange” was one of the best episodic gaming experiences we’ve ever had. On the heels of prequel “Before the Storm” and “The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit” demo, we’re finally getting a more direct sequel with “Life Is Strange 2.” We’re eager to see how our choices from the previous titles will factor into the story here. Whatever road the narrative takes, it’s bound to be inventive, compelling, and of course, strange.

Vera Farmiga’s younger sister Taissa goes from “American Horror Story” to this spinoff prequel, which delves deeper into the “Conjuring” franchise’s mythology. After a nun suspiciously commits suicide, the Vatican sends a trio of God’s workers to investigate. What they uncovered will certainly have audiences jumping out of their seats and reaching for their crucifixes. How Marvel Made a Massive Comeback!
Spider-Man has starred in a couple of quality games, but this title aims to set a new standard. Like the “Batman Arkham” series, this action adventure will refreshingly tell an original story with an older, seasoned Spider-Man at the center. Insomniac Games wants to make the player feel as if they’re actually Spider-Man, immersing us in an open world with all of the web-slinger’s trademark abilities at our disposal. With a slew of fan favorite villains and other iconic characters in the mix, our spider senses are already tingling.
