“Superbad” (2007)

Everybody’s first time is a little awkward. It’s particularly awkward, though, when one person is heavily intoxicated and the other person is Michael Cera. In this scene from “Superbad,” it looks like Cera’s Evan is finally going to lose his virginity to Becca. As his dream girl removes her shirt and makes drunken sexy talk, Evan decides that he can’t take advantage of her. Although they don’t go all the way, the disappointed Becca does leave Evan with a memento to remember their night together. Gross…

#9: Bachelor Party
“American Wedding” (2003)

Awkward nudity is a staple of the “American Pie” movies. The third film in the franchise certainly had the most extravagant stripping scene as the groomsmen throw a bachelor party for themselves. The festive evening turns into a demented farce, however, when the betrothed Jim shows up with his fiancée’s parents. Stifler and the bunch need to do everything in their power to conceal the feisty strippers, the tied-up Kevin, and their own ass cheeks. But by night’s end, everything comes uncorked.

#8: Archie Strips
“A Fish Called Wanda” (1988)

Nothing is more humiliating than having your nether regions suddenly exposed to complete strangers. Speaking foreign languages and removing his briefs, Archie thinks he’s finally going to catch the elusive Wanda. Instead, a family of seven greets the nude, unsuspecting barrister. Staring at each other in confused silence for several seconds, Archie covers himself up with a photo of the mother. It appears there’s been a huge misunderstanding, but it all gets sorted out in a surprisingly tidy manner. Good thing the British are such polite people.

#7: Pole Dance
“Date Night” (2010)

Steve Carell and Tina Fey have never been afraid of looking ridiculous as long as the audience is left in stitches. In “Date Night,” the king and queen of awkward comedy are forced to do a pole dance for a horny, corrupt district attorney. Despite the shedding of minimal skin, there’s still dry humping, spinning around and pole licking involved, though the sequence is about as sexy as the idea of Liz Lemon and Michael Scott hooking up. While their routine might be wooden, the two still give the dazed DA a woody nonetheless.

#6: Beauty Pageant
“Little Miss Sunshine” (2006)

Child beauty pageants are already pretty uncomfortable; dolling little girls up and parading them around in bathing suits. In Little Miss Sunshine, seven-year-old Olive Hoover gives the pedophile in the audience exactly what he wants as she performs a burlesque dance choreographed by her late grandpa. Oblivious to her performance’s sexual nature, Olive shakes what she’s got to “Super Freak.” Although the pageant directors try to nip Olive’s act in the bud, the Hoovers won’t let her moment in the spotlight be tarnished. This is one family you can’t touch.

#5: Patience, Honey
“Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” (2003)

As if the sight of a naked Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t silly enough, “Terminator 3” piles onto the awkwardness when he enters a bar having its ladies night. The flamboyant stripper on stage fortunately doesn’t need his clothes. Since time is a factor, however, the Terminator refuses to wait his turn like a good boy. Whether you think this scene is hilarious or officially jumps the shark, there’s no denying that it’s incredibly awkward, not to mention unexpected. At least Arnie chose to go with a different pair of sunglasses.

#4: Strip Club
“The Proposal” (2009)

When people think about steamy male eye candy, Oscar Nuñez probably isn’t the first person that comes to mind. In this 2009 romantic comedy, a “The Office” alumnus plays Ramone, whose resume ranges from ministering to exotic dancing. Ramone is something of a sex god to the ladies of Alaska, although Sandra Bullock’s Margaret doesn’t comprehend what all the hullabaloo is about. Against her will, the bride-to-be is given a lap dance she’ll never forget. The fact that her future in-laws are cheering the striptease on only adds to the discomfort.

#3: She’s My Cherry Pie
“Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” (2013)

You thought the beauty contest scene in “Little Miss Sunshine” was uncomfortable? That display was subtle compared to the one in “Bad Grandpa.” As their trip draws to a close, Irving and Billy decide to have some fun by crashing the Carolina Cutie Pie Pageant. Billy enters in full drag, playing everybody for fools. The little boy reveals his true gender upon yanking off his sailor costume and his goldilocks wig falls off. He might not have been the right sex, but Billy deserves the $5,000 for sheer fearlessness.

#2: Ice Ice Baby
“13 Going on 30” (2004)

Over the course of one night, Jenna Rink goes from stuffing her bra to having Jennifer Garner’s chest. While she’s trapped in a 30-year-old’s body, Jenna’s 13-year-old mind is far from ready to explore the opposite sex’s private parts. The woman child isn’t sure whether to laugh, cry, or call for an adult as womanizer Alex strips down to a horribly dated hip-hop song. The only one impressed by the striptease is Alex himself. Luckily we never see what’s in his tighty whities and the film maintains its PG rating.

“American Pie” (1999)

Following one of the hottest stripping scenes in all hard R comedies, “American Pie” delivers one of the nottest stripping scenes as Jim walks in on a half-naked Nadia. At her request, Jim starts to take it all off in awkward teen fashion. The unfortunate Jim literally blows his chances with Nadia not once, but twice. If that’s not embarrassing enough, his webcam captured the entire incident and the link was sent to everybody in school. Well, at least Nadia is still into Jim’s dorky moves by the movie’s conclusion.
