It's time pay tribute to all the "To All the Boys" franchise moments we've loved before. Our countdown includes the NYU party, the breakup, the contract, and more!

#10: Lara Jean & Peter's First Date “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” (2020)

At the very beginning of the second movie, Peter and Lara Jean go on their first official date. He arrives with flowers (including one for Kitty) and Lara Jean gets all dressed up for the occasion. Peter takes her to a favorite high end Italian restaurant that has huge menus and two forks, so you just know it’s good. Afterwards, Lara Jean organizes a visit to a lantern lighting ceremony where they make wishes about the future and affirm their desire to be together. Is this the kind of date that real high schoolers go on? Probably not, but hey, we can suspend our disbelief.

#9: The NYU Party “To All the Boys: Always and Forever” (2021)

The third movie in the trilogy is all about Lara Jean making the difficult choice to follow her own path even if that means moving far away from Peter. Though she initially hopes to attend Stanford with him, she finds herself falling in love with New York and NYU on a school trip to the East Coast. One of the contributing factors comes when she meets an NYU senior who invites her to a party. The cool rooftop setting and live band make this pretty much the college party of our dreams. We’re not surprised that this magical New York night pushed her to choose to go to school in the city that never sleeps.

#8: Lara Jean & Her Dad at the Diner “To All the Boys I've Loved Before” (2018)

Lara Jean’s relationship with her dad is one of the things that makes this franchise great. Not only is he progressive and sex positive, offering her condoms before a school trip—which makes sense considering he’s a gynocologist—but they share a unique bond that comes out in this diner scene from the first movie. Her father describes how he and Lara Jean’s mom came to this restaurant when they were early in their romance, providing some insight into her own relationship with Peter. We also get to learn a bit more about Lara Jean’s mom’s personality, and the ways in which she and her daughters are similar.

#7: The Kitchen Talk “To All the Boys I've Loved Before” (2018)

Despite the fact that they’re only in a pretend relationship at this point in the first movie, Peter and Lara Jean have a very real moment of connection in this scene. Lara Jean’s mother has passed away before the events of the plot begin. Then she finds out that she and Peter have something in common. He too has lost a parent. He tells her about how his father left their family and they are able to bond over these losses and get to know each other a little bit better.

#6: The Breakup “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” (2020)

In the second movie, a number of obstacles come in between Lara Jean and Peter—namely Gen and John Ambrose. There’s deception on both sides because Lara Jean fails to mention to Peter that she and John Ambrose have been volunteering together at the Belleview retirement home. Things really come to a head though when Lara Jean sees an incriminating photo of Peter and Gen. While he assures her that he was just comforting his ex because she was going through some family troubles, it eventually comes out that Peter was planning to meet Gen the night that he and Lara Jean first hooked up. Knowing that he’s been lying to her about it ever since, Lara Jean decides to pull the plug.

#5: Peter & Lara Jean’s First Kiss “To All the Boys I've Loved Before” (2018)

After her letters get sent out, Lara Jean kisses Peter on the school’s track in an effort to hide her true feelings for Josh. Even though their first kiss isn’t necessarily “real,” it’s still a memorable one. At the end of the first film, Lara Jean and Peter kiss on the lacrosse pitch, sealing what is finally a bona fide relationship. In the second movie, on Valentine’s Day, Peter takes Lara Jean back to the spot where they first kissed. There he gives her a pendant necklace and reads her a poem—though this is slightly less cute once we realize he didn’t actually write it.

#4: Kissing John Ambrose & Realizing Her True Feelings “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” (2020)

At the end of “P.S. I Still Love You”, Lara Jean and Peter are still broken up because of their lack of communication on a number of important issues. Lara Jean finds herself interested in another guy and ultimately dances with and kisses John Ambrose. As soon as their lips meet however, it seems clear that the embrace has made Lara Jean realize where her true feelings lie. Luckily, Peter shows up at the exact right moment because he’s worried about Lara Jean driving home in the snow- awwww! He sweeps her off her feet for a good old fashioned happy ending.

#3: Peter Writes Lara Jean One Last Love Letter “To All the Boys: Always and Forever” (2021)

As the trilogy came to a close, it was uncertain what would happen between Peter and Lara Jean with the two going to college on opposite coasts. Though the concept of long distance initially causes them to break up, Peter soon has a change of heart and expresses his feelings in a love letter written in Lara Jean’s yearbook. Not only does he tell her that he wants them to give their relationship another shot, but he also finally reveals their adorable meet cute. They dance to their newly found song and give fans the Happily Ever After they had been hoping for.

#1: The Hot Tub “To All the Boys I've Loved Before” (2018)

When everyone heads to the slopes for a school ski trip, Peter and Lara Jean end up confessing the feelings they’ve developed for one another. Which of course progresses to a steamy makeout session in a hot tub after Lara Jean climbs in—even though she’s in her nightgown. This marks the moment where their fake relationship officially becomes real. Up until this point they had kept up the pretense that what they were doing was only for the sake of duping other people. Unfortunately, their intimate encounter essentially goes viral because someone films them and leaks the video online. But then, what is a rom com without a little drama?
