VOICE OVER: Emily Brayton
Script written by Emily Brayton

Celebs, they're just like us! They enjoy watching popular broadway shows just like us mortals! Celebs like Lea Michele, Emma Watson, Jay Z and Beyonce, The Obamas, Rosie O'Donnell, Niel Patrick Harris and Jimmy Fallon are all huge fans of Hamilton. Neil Patrick Harris is such a big fan, he's passed the gift that is “Hamilton” down to his kids, who he claims also know most of the words. That and his ability to rap arguably the hardest part of “My Shot” effortlessly is astounding. Neil's love of “Hamilton” is nothing short of legen — “Wait for it” — dary. The Obamas have showed continuing support and admiration towards “Hamilton,” especially for its ability to teach kids about American history. Michelle has even come out and said that it's the best piece of art she's ever seen. It makes sense, given “Hamilton”'s political subject matter, that politicians like the Obamas, and even the Clintons, would flock to it!

Top 10 Celebrities Who Dated Their Fans

They want to be in the room where it happened. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Celebrity Hamilton Fans. For this list, we’ll be choosing the members of the rich and famous who not only had the chance to see the Broadway phenomenon, but who publicly voice their obsession. We won’t be including anyone who actually was in the cast of “Hamilton: An American Musical.”

#10: Lea Michele

Even Broadway has its besties. Lea Michele and the original King George III on Broadway, Jonathan Groff, go way back. Before their insane chemistry on “Glee,” these two shared the stage in “Spring Awakening” both off and Broadway, staying close ever since. Michele showed her support by seeing “Hamilton,” but she’s not just there to cheer Groff on! She even made the effort to catch the U.S. tour of the musical in San Francisco. Hey, maybe she’s got enough pull to be in the cast someday.

#9: Emma Watson

That’s right, even Hermione Granger is on the Hamiltrain. Watson, who’s a UN Women Goodwill ambassador, enlisted the help of fellow feminist Lin-Manuel Miranda for HeForShe Arts Week in 2016, and their conversation uncovered everything from Watson’s fangirl obsession with the musical, to some parallels between “Hamilton” and “Harry Potter,” and their perfect beatbox/freestyle pairing. Something that particularly interests Watson -- and us -- is the presence of strong female figures in “Hamilton,” namely the Schuyler sisters. Watson has clearly done her homework in analyzing the show -- she’s even sorted everyone into Hogwarts houses.

#8: JAY-Z & Beyoncé

Part of what makes “Hamilton” great is that its influences don’t just span the musical theatre repertoire, but the world of music as well. Hip-hop and R&B homages are woven perfectly into the narrative — and it must be a bit of a surreal experience to not only have those influences come see the show that references them, but also be huge admirers of it. When Beyonce and JAY-Z came, it was actually Javier Muñoz acting as Alexander Hamilton, and let’s just say he’s QUITE a fan. Queen Bey spread the praise around and told the then-King George III, Jonathan Groff, that she was going to steal his walk. Come to think of it, we might be inclined to do the same.

#7: James Corden

James Corden proves time and again that he’s at home when he’s entertaining, and he often puts his singing and acting chops to good use on “The Late Late Show.” He was even tapped to host the 2016 Tony Awards, which just so happened to be the year “Hamilton” set a record with a whopping 16 Tony nominations. As could be expected, Corden had his finger on the cultural pulse and opened the awards show with an homage to the Broadway phenomenon. But does that really make him a fan? We’re thinking being able to rap “Guns and Ships” WHILE in the presence of Lin himself earns Corden a pass.

#6: Neil Patrick Harris

Neil Patrick Harris just does life better than most people, so it doesn’t surprise us at all that he positively owns being a “Hamilton” fan too. Lin-Manuel Miranda has actually written raps for NPH in the past, having composed two of his most impressive Tony Awards performances in 2011 and 2013. So, you could say Neil’s been practicing. He’s passed the gift that is “Hamilton” down to his kids, who he claims also know most of the words. That and his ability to rap arguably the hardest part of “My Shot” effortlessly is astounding. Neil’s love of “Hamilton” is nothing short of legen — “Wait for it” — dary.

#5: Ben Schwartz

Here’s the truth: we want to be Ben Schwartz’s best friend. Schwartz consistently goes full “Ham” and nothing less, whether it’s on “Parks and Recreation,” “Comedy Bang Bang,” or in the “DuckTales” reboot. He wears his “Hamilton” infatuation like a badge of honor, owning both an A. Burr and A. Ham hat -- probably to suit his mood. He also gave a compelling audition for the London company of “Hamilton.” Additionally, he can boast being a fan of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s other amazing musical, “In the Heights,” as evidenced by his prop-filled #Ham4All video.

#4: Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon Biography: From 'SNL' to 'Late Night'

It’s no secret that Jimmy Fallon’s enthusiasm knows no bounds, and that of course extends to “Hamilton.” He was actually a fan of “Hamilton” before it became such a sensation, back when it was Off-Broadway at The Public Theater. Jimmy, along with members of his band, The Roots, Black Thought and Questlove, marvelled at what was clearly a new and exciting type of musical. Black Thought and Questlove even helped produce the cast recording, and both they and Fallon make appearances on the Hamilton Mixtape. Fallon has even offered up his impersonation skills for a hilarious #Ham4Ham of “You’ll Be Back.” Maybe he could take the crown on stage someday!

#3: Rosie O’Donnell

Let’s face it; if you see something more than ten times, you’re obsessed. For Rosie O’Donnell, she’s seen “Hamilton” at LEAST fifteen times, sometimes bringing along her kids and anyone who hasn’t had the chance to see it. *Ahem* Hey, Rosie? In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, O’Donnell said that she’s such a regular at the show that the ushers know her drink of choice, and said “Now, when things happen, Hamilton is the score to my emotional world.” Her posts to social media are a true testament to her ability to bring everything back to “Hamilton,” and we’re dying to have a sing-along with her.

#2: Mariska Hargitay

Don’t take our word for it; Lin-Manuel Miranda himself has called Hargitay the biggest “Hamilton” fan. Even past cast members have said it’s better to ask her for tickets to the Broadway sensation than anyone actually in it! Hargitay forever immortalized her obsession with the musical by narrating the audiobook for “Hamilton: The Revolution,” or as fans know it, the Hamiltome. The “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star actually seems to be best friends with most of the cast members, if Twitter and Instagram are to be believed. Multiple “Hamilton” cast members have even appeared on “SVU.” Since she’s such a fan, she gets her own hashtag: #Har4Ham.
Before we get to our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
 Laverne Cox
 Kerry Washington

#1: The Obamas

The first rumblings of “Hamilton” can be traced back to 2009, when Lin-Manuel Miranda performed at the White House Poetry Jam at the request of President Barack Obama. What was initially met with giggles and skepticism was what we know now as the show’s opening number “Alexander Hamilton.” From then on, the Obamas have showed continuing support and admiration towards “Hamilton,” especially for its ability to teach kids about American history. Michelle has even come out and said that it’s the best piece of art she’s ever seen. It makes sense, given “Hamilton”’s political subject matter, that politicians like the Obamas, and even the Clintons, would flock to it.
