Top 10 Chaotic Stranger Things Cast Interview Moments
#10: “I Want You Back”
“The Late Late Show With James Corden” (2015-)
It should surprise nobody that a lot of the “Stranger Things” kids have musical talents. They’ve shown off those talents many times in the past, but one of our favorite moments came in 2017 alongside James Corden. Just after the release of season two, the “Stranger Things” boys appeared in a bit on the British comedian’s talk show where they pretended they had all been in a motown group together. Name? The Upside Downs, of course. The bit itself is funny, with Corden pretending he went to school alongside the core four. But when it comes to the actual performance, you’ll be blown away. The boys sing The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” and they kill it.
#9: Couple Lie Detector
Vanity Fair
Steve and Nancy might have been the original teen relationship on “Stranger Things,” and we can’t say for sure if that ship has sailed. But for now, on the show – and in real life – Nancy and Jonathan continue to hold down their romance. And during the press tour for season three, actors Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer had some fun with their real life relationship. They took a lie detector test for Vanity Fair, and the results were revealing. We learned that Heaton has trashed a hotel room, and that Natalia Dyer may have a current celebrity crush running around. Whatever the case, these two took everything as seriously as we could have hoped for.
#8: Brazil!
Vigor Interview
The fourth season of “Stranger Things” added some great new actors, including Joseph Quinn as Eddie and Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna. But one of the most delightful surprises from the 2022 press tour has been watching the relationship between these two grow, particularly during their interviews with Brazilian outlets. There’s a tender moment in one video where Jamie sweetly helps Joseph with his mic pack, but we decided to go with a kookier entry. At the end of a very funny interview, Joseph picks up on the interviewer’s very particular way of saying “Brazil,” and well – we’ll let you see for yourselves. From the sweet to the zany, these two have us covered.
#7: Too Legit to Quit
WIRED
For this entry, we have to give a big shout out to WIRED. The outlet’s series where celebrities answer the internet’s most searched questions has given us many gems – particularly where the “Stranger Things” cast is concerned. We love Winona’s anti-body shaming sentiment during her WIRED interview, but there’s something about Gaten getting the giggles. Much like their onscreen counterparts, Joe Keery and Gaten Matarazzo have an undeniable chemistry. In a segment of their WIRED interview where Joe is reading out what people are most likely to search about him, Gaten just can’t help himself. He bursts out laughing over and over, and his giggles are wildly infectious.
#6: Song Association
ELLE
Anyone paying attention to the “Strangers Things” cast over the past few years is aware of the close friendship between Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp. While their TV characters don’t spend too much time together over the course of the show, the actors are almost always paired up for press. Their good-natured bickering and competitive natures are content gold, particularly in this Song Association video. The two spend the whole video trying to beat each other and come up with a song first. But at the end of the video – when they realize they were supposed to be working together the whole time – Millie in particular is flabbergasted. We hope you never lose that competitive edge, MBB!
#5: Kiss, Marry, Kill
Netflix
The young actors from “Stranger Things” are no strangers to talk of kissing, killing, or other activities. But Kiss, Marry, Kill is a tough game under regular circumstances. When you’re asked to choose between a demogorgon and the mind flayer? Well, that’s just plain rude. During this interview, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, and Joseph Quinn all play a few rounds of this classic game. Everyone has funny answers, but we’re obsessed with Joseph’s response. Interviewer Felicia Day is pretty skeptical when he says that he would kiss Vecna, but he hits her with cold, hard facts. We have seen Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph, and we concur.
#4: Stranger Strings with the Kids of “Stranger Things”
“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” (2014-)
The “Stranger Things” kids are no stranger to Jimmy Fallon and his antics. They’ve appeared on the late night talk show multiple times over the years, always to our great delight. But one of our favorite Jimmy Fallon/”Stranger Things” crossover events came pretty early on. A few members of the cast play a game where they write different facts about themselves on notecards. Someone reads a card out, and everyone has to guess who wrote it. How do they guess? By spraying silly string at each other. And these kids mean BUSINESS. Literally, as SOON as Jimmy reads out that first card, they all start shaking their silly string cans as hard as their little arms can move. It’s a chaotic, stringy mess.
#3: Stranger Puppies
BuzzFeed
If there’s one thing this list was missing, it was puppies. In 2022, several “Stranger Things” cast members gathered together to play with puppies – and it was just about as chaotic as you’d expect. Maya Hawke has a couple of great one liners, from telling everyone to “do dogs” instead of drugs to poking fun at her divorced parents when some of the puppies start to fight. When asked what show he would like to guest star on, Joe Keery inexplicably says the news. Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp introduce themselves as each other, cast members get bitten, floors get peed on – you name it. When you add puppies to this already wacky dynamic, it’s bound to get crazy.
#2: ‘80s Fads
Teen Vogue
“Stranger Things” is known for its hardcore ‘80s nostalgia. So it’s no wonder Teen Vogue got a few of the cast members together to discuss the merits of 80s trends. In this video, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, and Dacre Montgomery decide whether different 80s pop culture relics are “rad” or “bad.” They talk about acid wash denim, bucket hats, walkmans – the nostalgia is strong. But for some of the items, the boys let their dirty minds get the better of them. When it’s time to talk about leg warmers, for example, Joe and Dacre pretend they think you wear them … somewhere else, let’s say. Keep it clean, boys!

#1: Spicy Wings with Millie & Noah
“Hot Ones” (2015-)
For most “Hot Ones” episodes, it’s just the interviewer and the celebrity. But on Millie Bobby Brown’s episode, there was a special guest. No, we’re not talking about Tom Holland – although Millie did take a moment to call him out. But this special guest is someone a little more near and dear to Millie’s heart. Before things get too spicy, Noah Schnapp joins Millie for her very first wing on the show. The two engage in a little friendly banter before Millie is left to her own devices. But NOT before she subtly rips Noah a new one by reminding him that she was invited on the show, and not him. We’ll never get tired of these two.
