#10: Space Mygeeto “Star Wars: Battlefront II” (2005)

Battlefront 2 brought the fury of space combat to the franchise. The battle over the planet Mygeeto might be the best of this set of maps. Never mind trying to avoid bombardments of enemy fire; with ships overlapping each other at close range, maneuvering is a tough enough job. Only the best of pilots can clear the skies of enemy combatants or land a small team behind enemy lines to do damage from within. With a wide variety of ships and tactics to employ, space levels could be played how you wanted to play them…just so long as you could stay alive.
#9: Polis Massa “Star Wars: Battlefront II” (2005)
It may look like a potato in space, but Polis Massa is one of the biggest pieces of real estate in the galaxy. Might have to do with the fact that a key Rebel Base is nestled within it. Polis Massa contains some of the hardest to defend choke points in the game. Matches can even be confined to these particular spots alone. This makes the fight to hold these command posts pretty intense and losing even one could cost you men and the map itself. You could keep the Rebellion from dying in its infancy or crush it before it even began.
#8: Endor "Star Wars: Battlefront" (2004) & Battlefront II” (2005)
The forest moon of Endor was host to one of the penulate battles of the Galactic Civil War. Easily one of the largest maps in the franchise, Endor is the kind of map you can play anyway you wish. Stealthily sneaking in the bushes to ambush enemies, taking them head on in the middle, or drawing an ATST back into an Ewok booby trap, there are endless possibilities to choose from. Or you could try your luck as the Imperials in Hunt Mode and show those Ewoks just how the battle should have really ended.
#7: Coruscant: Jedi Temple “Star Wars: Battlefront II” (2005)
The once great stronghold of the Jedi Order, is now some heartbreaking ruins. Several, already collapsed pillars provide good cover as you enter the temple from the front. From there you can split off to capture or retake many iconic rooms such as the Jedi Archive Library, the War Room, or even the Jedi Council chamber. Save the symbol of hope for the galaxy or knock it down for the newly minted Galactic Empire. Either way, this is one trip to the capital of the galaxy you’ll never forget.
#6: Kashyyk “Star Wars: Battlefront II” (2005)
Kashyyk, home planet of the fan favorite Wookies, has a real World War II feel to it with its D-Day like beachfront assault. As the Rebels or Clones it’s your job to keep the Imperials or Droids off your lawn, er sand. And in the reverse role, you need to fight an uphill battle, including breaching a tall wall sanctuary. Add in some hovertanks for over the ocean carnage and the ability to team up with the Wookies depending on your allegiance and you’ve got fun game of defense on your hands.
#5: Mos Eisley “Star Wars: Battlefront II” (2005)

Fans of Call of Duty will no doubt love this desert town arena. With plenty of narrow alleys and high roof tops, Mos Eisley is perfect for both close quarters combat and sniping. Probably the most memorable element of this map however, is the Assault mode. Here, you can pit the games Heroes against each other, able to select heroes and villains from both Clone War and Galactic Civil War eras. Ever wanted to see Luke Skywalker take on Darth Maul and General Grevious or Princess Leia try to shoot down The Emperor, this map was a fan fiction dream come true.
#4: Mustafar “Star Wars: Battlefront II” (2005)
If you like your battlefields hot, it doesn’t get any hotter than the planet where Obi Wan Kenobi had his famous showdown with Anakin Skywalker. While the lava may not leap up to claim you, the atmosphere is no less intense. Repelling enemies from tight corridors is a chore. It can be made even worse when the Imperial enemies have an angry ex-Jedi storming your ranks. Anakin Skywalker brings the real heat as the Imperial hero option, showing that mowing down the Separatist Leaders wasn’t just for show, it was his job resume’.
#3: Bespin: Cloud City "Star Wars: Battlefront" (2004)
The metropolis of Bespin becomes a battlefield on all levels in this fan favorite. This map makes Cloud City seem more like an actual city than the movie did in many respects. The walkways provide excellent spots for snipers to pick off enemies troops and observe the battle bellow. There are also some fun nods to the Empire Strikes Back, most notably the carbon freezing chamber where a dark presence lurks if you listen close enough. Thankfully, there was no Lord Vader hero option which should make the Administrator of Cloud City very happy. That could be worded better.

Carnage rages in the belly of the Empire’s greatest weapon. Battle in the docking bays, the main fire control room, and the legendary detention block. These iconic locations have tons of nods for Star Warsfans from the firing of the Death Star's super laser to that garbage block, though swim there at your own peril. The Battle of the Death Star immediately brings up images of the space battle on the outside that concludes “A New Hope”. This map was your chance to show that inside, there could be a just as memorable dramatic struggle to win on the inside. Taking the top spot on our list is the recreation of the climactic battle from The Empire Strikes Back. The Hoth map is huge, possibly the biggest in the series. It’s so big in fact that running on foot may not be the best option, not with giant beams of death raining down upon you. Luckily you do have the infamous Snowspeeders and even a faithful Tauntaun to move around in. Hoth is a battle and map highly revered in the Star Wars universe. So it’s no surprise that it’s the world that would highlight the Battlefront series’ return. Do you agree with our list?
